Dunkin’ Donuts

I often come here when I am out on an early morning. The coffee is standard Dunkin’ fare – watery and not very caffeinated – but the service is pleasant and quick. I particularly appreciate that they stock the «pumpkin» (=sweet spice) flavor through most of the year, unlike most locations. When I have needed to buy coffee for a large group, they have gotten the «box o’ joe» together for me quickly.

I had a coupon for $ 1.99 breakfast sandwich. Handed it over and asked for the Steak and egg on english muffin… the cashier said «nooooooo.
Only ham, sausage or bacon egg and cheese.»
Lol, the coupon clearly said «excluding big and toasted» that makes it all other sandwiches good.
I didnt want to argue with her because I come here fairly often, they even know my order, so this is the extent of my complaint.

This DD is in the shopping center anchored by Whole Foods. It is in the far left corner, and difficult to spot from Rt. 1.
Once you find it and go inside, it is a narrow, older model, franchise that seems a bit rundown and in need of a coat of fresh paint.
Still, the coffee is good, and the donuts are the donuts. While I am not a big fan of their sweet dough, there are times when a sugar fix of their glazed or sour cream bad boys do the trick. Yesterday, I thought I was buying a cronut as an experiment, but it came in a regular bag, rather than the box shown in advertisements. It surprised me by having vanilla custard inside. The donut itself was fresh, soft and almost sickly sweet, but with the extra injection it was just too much for my mouth and taste buds. I did not enjoy the texture of the custard and cronut mixed together, and the variety of sweet over sweet flavors introduced an unpleasant redundancy.
It’s back to the glazed and stick donuts for me.

Standard Dunkin’ Donuts, fast service in the morning. Open later than most others. The staff a night is very nice, and they remember my order. Still has a donut selection at night.
