Hate this place! We odered food for 6 pm, it was not ready until 6:30! We were late for a party but not sure if they even understand the meaning& concept of the TIME! Not an apology or anything.

Love this place! Great food and good quality. I love the Persian kabobs and chicken shawarma. If it’s your first time order one of these plates and you won’t be disappointed! This place is better than Luna Grill, if you are in the poway area try it. A cool thing about this place is it is connected to the market next door so you can shop too.

Food here is excellent! But don’t go expecting fast service, especially if you are starving. Our order took one hour from time of ordering to the time it was brought to our table. They were not busy with dine-in customers but they WEREBUSY with a huge catering order, which obviously they give priority to and I don’t blame them but it will keep me from going to eat here anytime soon.

I’ve been here before and ordered a koobideh plate with my best mate, Mohsen. However we didn’t like the typical Persian dish that we love so much. The beef was terribly undercooked and we agreed to not eat here again for a while. Since I’m shopping alone today and didn’t take in a decent breakfast, I thought I’d go in and give the bakery another chance. I’m glad that I did because I was happily surprised at the sandwich I ordered. It was the boneless, skinless chicken Sandwich that appears to be a bit shy of a footlong in length from subway, but SOOO much better. I’m not sure of the tangy cheese like spread they used because it held such a light texture. However, The chicken, I will say was the main character of this sandwich and I’m literally in brunch HEAVEN. The bread was lightly toasted and filled generously with chunks of scrumptious grilled chicken, tomato, lettuce and red onion. For $ 5.99 this chicken Sandwich is worth the 11 – 15 min wait. Grab one and take your time enjoying it. As Iranians would say, Nooshe Jaan.

Love the fresh tasting plates. I always get the kebab. Get the garlic sauce! Love the generous portions and the decent prices. The wait is a bit long but worth it.

Generous portions of good(Persian/Middle Eastern/Mediterranean) grilled and baked food — to eat onsite or take home(plus an adjacent grocery store offering many more options that may require some preparation).

My new favorite lunch spot in Poway! The food is fresh and the portions are large. I split a meal and take home half! It does take like 10 — 15 minutes to get the food, but I’ll take the wait!

Not recommended. We ordered their beef kabob and chicken shawarma plates. Chicken shawarma was not the shawarma you expect from a Mediterranean place and whatever the thing it was, it was not good. The kabobs were ok hence the two stars. It was dinner time and I wanted beef shawarma originally, but they had already run out of it at 6:30 which I couldn’t believe. We also got some humus which was simply not at par. This place is not true Mediterranean restaurant and quality is not there. Find another place, don’t waste your money here.

LOVE! Been meaning to try this place out as it’s so close to home and finally got the chance to the other day. I called in as I was in a time crunch. The lady said it would take 20 – 25 minutes for my order and this right in the middle of lunch. When I came to pick it up, it was ready, but the long was pretty long! I ordered the beef kabob and chicken kabob meal. It was heavenly. The rice was perfect and the meats delicious. Wish I had something to dip my bread in, but still it was sooo delicious. It is a good sized portion too! Can’t wait to come back and try the rest of their menu.

The only reason this is getting 2 stars, instead of 1, is because their food is great. I went in today and placed a to go order for 1, just one, beef shwarma plate at 1:33 pm. I received it ready to go at 2:08. Over half an hour for one plate? Unacceptable. If you need those kinds of wait times, offer a full service restaurant. I’m unhappy with the wait, and when I was waiting in line to get my money back, it finally was called. Turns out it had been waiting on the table for 5 minutes before the girl at the register noticed it. This is completely unacceptable. Your food is good, but your wait, and your food-out system is beyond atrocious. If I do come back here, it will be a long long time before I do.

Great food, we LOVE the chicken kabob. My wife gets the plate and I get the wrap. Friendly service in a casual setting with good prices, does it get any better?

We were excited to find a Persian/Mediterranean place not too far from home. I called in around 7pm to phone in an order. We’d wanted beef and chicken shawarma plates. I was told they were out of beef shawarma. Out? At dinner time? Anywho, we settled for the beef kabob plate and the chicken shawarma plate. We went over to pick it up, it was ready when we got there, a very good sign, and the ladies behind the counter were nice. Unfortunately, the food was bland, not even mediocre. We’ve found some delicious Mediterranean food places and we love the bold flavors that typically accompany Mediterranean dishes. Not here though. Even the hummus was flavorless. The chicken shawarma had gristle left on some parts. Not appetizing at all.

I hadn’t realized that North Park Produce had opened up a bakery and grill. After shopping one day we decided to drop in and see what they had to offer. My friend just ended up getting some cakes but we ended up coming back for the food the next day! Originally was going to order the koobideh plate but then what did I see out of the corner of my eye? Schwarma fries! haha… their take on the famous San Diego Carne Asada fries. Seems like everyone is doing this now, I’ve seen Kalbi KBBQ fries as well. Just slather whatever meat you have at your place over fries and viola! Don’t misunderstand. I’m not complaining or anything. It didn’t have the layers of things that most carne asada fries have. It was just fries and beef schwarma with some sauce to pour over it on the side but it was still good. As long as the meat and fries are good, that’s the basics right there. Water was in glass jars and was orange or cucumber infused. A really nice touch.

The food is pretty good and they have a good selection from kebab plates, sandwiches, and salads. The portion sizes are excellent for the price. The staff is friendly and place is kept very clean. All the food is also prepared fresh which is especially a plus for all the baked goods.

Great place to get chicken shawarma for a great price too! There is a lot to try, but the chicken shawarma is the best chicken dish there for sure. If you get the chicken shawarma plate, make sure you get the garlic paste with it, and they add a piece of their bread for the hummus. It’s not always there where you order it to go.

I am so mad at myself for not trying this place sooner! It is delicious. If you are familiar with San Diego County, Poway doesn’t exactly come to mind when looking for a culinary cultural experience but this bakery/grill is a hidden gem amongst suburbs and strip malls. I had the beef schwarma plate and the flavors were excellent. The hummus was creamy and perfect and the salad was lightly dressed just right. I also tried some desserts– zoolbia and bamieh. I had never tried these before so have no basis for comparison. They were soooo sweet and the rose water flavor was very pronounced. Definitely an indulgence. Service was friendly and efficient. I will definitely be back again– maybe tomorrow.
