This place is fantastic! The young gentleman who helped us out was very accommodating and the food was divine

Tried their plain pizza today and I can say it one of the best one I’ve had in poway, very good baked in brick oven and sauce has very good flavor. I would actually give the 5 star but they need to be more clear with their check in offer. Ordered a plain pie and calzone and wanted to use the offer for personal pie but the owner said pie had to be with 3 toppings.

Their Persian menu is constantly changing… I loved their lavash wraps but every time I call they tell me they no longer make it the way they used to. I end up trying it but today it just wasn’t worth it. Paid $ 17 for 3 and I just don’t think they’re tasty anymore. Meat wasn’t 100% and the pita instead of Lavash isn’t a good substitution, in my opinion, sadly. Wish they would just go back to their old menu and old ingredients! If it’s not broke, why try and fix it ;)

horrible customer service, I used to always order from them and delivery was 30 – 45 min, last night I ordered at 6:30 and the delivery guy did not get there until 8:30. I called twice and both times I was told 10 more min. meanwhile my son was starving and had to go to bed, when the guy finally go there after I cancelled he would not even let me keep the pizza.

Tonight my wife and I went in for pizza, I heard the clerk telling someone over the phone what sounded like they were out of pizza. Low n behold that was the case. How does a pizza restaurant run out of pizza on a Saturday night at 7? I asked what was going on and he said they were busy and ran out. There was 1 couple in the place and no line of people talking pizzas out. The oven was off, and I was offered Persian food. Geeezzz I’m all for a Persian restaurant even though there is one next door to them… But if the name of your establishment is Brick Oven Pizza then you should dang well be plenty stocked with the provisions of your trade. If other food is your trade then rename to Brick Oven Persian. This rating is entirely based on 1. The apathetic clerk behind the counter 2. Lack of provisions

Great pizza and friendly staff. Not too greasy with a good amount of toppings. Can’t wait to get it again!

We love this place, the pizza is fantastic every time we go. The garlic knots are a must order and the lasagna was pretty great the few times we have gotten it. We enjoy that we usually don’t have to wait very long for our food, and the service is always excellent.

Been to a lot of Persian/middle Eastern Restaurants and this place is one of the best. been coming here for take out And even used them to cater two parties of mine. Very prompt and gives you more than you ordered. I always order the chicken kabobs and my favorite koobideh, rice and grilled tomatoes are also fantastic. I’ve heard about their pizza but never tried it so on my next visit it will be pizza and a side of koobideh.

Something for every hungry soul! Great pizza, and good Persian food too! There is a near by competitor now, but I still prefer the Brick Oven Pizzeria. I have eaten here about 10 times over the past year. Always great food, always a friendly and helpful staff. While eating here we notice they do an amazing amount of carryout service. We kind of like the vibe and prefer to eat in. Check this place out for some pretty wholesome food!

I’ve been here several times, but have never ordered pizza. I come here for the Persian food and let me tell you it is absolutely divine. As a Persian who has high standards when it comes to food, brick oven pizzeria gets my stamp of approval. I just had their chicken kebab with rice for dinner and it was so succulent and delicious, I couldn’t wait to Unilocal about it. The staff are friendly and attentive too. I hate to say I was disappointed with this place because I wanted to like it! I went in about 3 and ordered a personal pizza(they don’t have slices) I got the margarite pizza and a drink for 10 dollars. The pizza is made to order and they said it would take 7 minutes and they were right. I wish it took longer because it wasn’t hot, it was sloppily put together, really thin and not crispy at all. It was actually soggy and watery, which I’ve never experienced. Water dripped off the pizza and cheese didn’t stay on. All in all I only ate the crust and left. I can’t say anything about the Persian cuisine but don’t recommend the pizza at all. On the bright side the employees, and I think owner, were very nice. I was hoping to start ordering delivery but I won’t be returning.

Excellent pie and delicious Persian cuisine(what a great combo!)!!! Small, simple place in a relatively sleepy shopping center off Poway but its worth it to stop in or order takeout. The people who work here are very nice and you’ll be very happy with the delicious taste of the food. Highly recommended. We’ll be back again.

Great little NY style Pizza place that also offers Persian entrees — what a combination! The pizza dough is homemade and crusts are nice, crispy and thin but not crispy like those places that use soda crackers in the crust. It’s just right. I had a calzone and it comes with ricotta/mozzarella cheese. I added sausage, black olive and mushrooms. It was loaded with rich cheesy goodness, just oozing when I cut it. The top and bottom crust was perfect. Really well executed. It came with a side tub of hot marinara sauce and as I ladled it on, it made for a wonderful compliment to the cheese. Really, that calzone could have comfortably fed two. There was just one poor guy making pies and running the register and phone. He was busting his butt. It was a Sunday night dinner rush at about 5:30pm and he sure could have used some help. He prevailed and worked the backlog, never losing his cool. I’ll be back!
