Yeebo

I can’t be sure this is actually «Yeebo», that’s just the sign overhead, but what can I say, whatever this place is, it’s a HUGE disappointment. No offense to the nice people inside trying to do their job, it’s not that I’m giving them 2 stars, but for a building that had so much going for it, I must say I really waited with baited breath to see what would come into this spot as I watched it be finished all year. Then… for several months it stopped moving forward and sat in the same semi-​finished state. Eventually I became sad realizing that something probably amazing was trying to come here, but just didn’t make it.
I can’t say for sure, but it looks like what happened is this killer awesome would-​be-​restaurant space lost money, funding or fell on bad times, and finally was leased to a super low end convenience store. It would be one thing if this place was run with pride, but instead they slapped a bunch of cheap goods in there all willy nilly, making this a could-​be-​great space, that will likely fall to doom before it has a chance to be a part of this ever changing strip of MLK.
Here’s to something awesome moving in one day…
