Sandra Raymond

I wish I had a before picture of my hair so I could show off how incredible a transformation Sandra made of me. All I can ask myself is, why didn’t I do it sooner.
I went in to see Sandra with an idea in mind (stripping out the deep red and then coloring my hair to match my salt and pepper roots … I am so tired of coloring my hair every three weeks! Then putting in chunks of red or black).
Sandra had a better idea … and more kind to my hair. We are cutting and cutting and cutting while the roots grow in. She gave me ideas as to how I could cover my roots through this awkward phase AND gave me a hair style that does this as well. I can’t wait to continue to see Sandra as my hair changes and evolves.
Sandra gives you a great scalp massage even before she shampoos your hair — which is another great scalp massage. She is fun to talk to and I love her sense of humor. All I can say is, «Thanks, Sandra! See you in 8 weeks!!»

I’ve had my hair cut by Sandra several times now and I am in love! She does absolutely amazing work, makes sure it’s done exactly the way you want it and! She’s so much fun to talk to. I rave about her to everyone. I really can’t say enough good things about her aaand I love my hair every time I get it done! I don’t trust anyone else with my hair anymore. Thanks Sandra!

Sandra is amazing. She’s the kind of stylist that makes you remember why you love having your hair done by a pro. Unfortunately I move around a lot, so I don’t get the luxury of having Sandra as my resident hair expert. But anytime we’re in the same city (which isn’t often enough), I ask her to do my hair. Why? She’s that good.
Last time she did my hair it went like this:
Me: «I want a new cut but I have no idea what… also, I want three colors but I’m not sure which ones and I don’t want it stripey. Can you do that?»
Sandra: «No problem.»
Guess what? It wasn’t a problem! We had a 10 minute conversation about my options for cut and color. We talked about what would look best for my face and my skin tone.
The result… Cut? Perfect for my oval face. Color? Spot on. No stripes. How do I know? I loved the way it looked. It was easy to manage myself (not too much work) and made me feel sassy. Other people loved the way it looked. I got compliments for months afterward. Not just from my family and friends but from strangers on the sidewalk in Chicago. Seriously.
If you’re lucky enough to live in Portland and you want to love your hair — make an appointment with Sandra. You’ll be glad you did (and I’ll be just a little bit envious).
