This food cart is understated and may not look like much from the outsude, but I am telling you, don’t pass this up. The Bahn Mi was life altering! I cannot stop thinking about going back and trying everything else on the menu! Friendly and fast staff too!

The food is amazing, but extremely slow. He only works on one order at a time. Prices are pretty good, but have gone up recently.

After walking around the block of food trucks in this location a couple times, I was almost-sure I wanted to come back to Rolls Plus for sushi. I am very happy I did! I ordered a combination plate of unagi rolls(eel on top of California roll), California roll, and inari(fried tofu) sushi. Everything was delicious. For $ 8 I felt like I got a very decent amount of food. Plus the owner was friendly and the wait didn’t take long at all. I would happily come back frequently if I lived in Portland!

The soft shell crab was yummy! The spring rolls was ok, not enough meat, so will only give three stars.

There are so many food carts in this area and so many of them feature asian food that it can be a little overwhelming. One day I was hungry, I couldn’t make a decision, and somehow ended up at this little, unassuming white little cart. I am so glad I did because I come back for one of their steamed BBQ pork buns about once a week and have to stop myself from going more often! The dough is so fluffy and warm and the BBQ pork has the prefect taste. Each one is less than $ 2 and they are big! I want to try their sushi because it looks good as well but I can’t get myself to order something other than those perfect buns. I told my boyfriend to stop by and he told me their phở is great as well. And this one is open on Sundays! Definitely try to find this little cart if you are in the mood for something light, cheap, and tasty.

I’m very happy I stopped by this cart for lunch. The ban Mi is made with very fresh ingredients and the bread is just perfect. It’s a small cart, so when they’re busy there’s a bit of a wait — but the food is worth it!

Although it appears at first glance to be one of the sketchiest food cart options… it is DELICIOUS. Om nom nom good. The sushi combo is perfect and the dumplings and bao are so yummy. I’ve had much better banh mi elsewhere but it was pretty good.

Bought a tofu bahn mi and two bbq pork buns to take to the airport on my way out of town. Almost two hours later the food was still delicious! Got the mild sauce on my sandwich but it was still pretty spicy for my taste, although bearable. The filling in the buns was really great too. I was lucky there was no line in front of me because the single guy working was a bit slow.

Vietnamese sandwiches are good(good, not great), but the sushi’s kinda… meh. Of course, you can’t beat the prices($ 6.00 for a rainbow roll!) and the people are really nice, which is always a plus for me!

This food truck place has darn good Bahn Mi’s for a very reasonable $ 3.75. The guy that works there is pretty funny and jovial. It can take a bit to get your food, as other reviewers noted, but its still pretty quick and its a pretty fun street to people watch, so no biggie, unless its raining, I guess — but there is an overhang.

My biggest blunder across my entire Seattle/Portland food-centric trip was that I underestimated the Portland food truck scene severely. SEVERELY. So severely, that I would like to go back to Portland and ONLY eat at food trucks. While my poor planning led to me missing much of what the scene has to offer, I was able to make it over to one of the main pods on a Sunday morning and take advantage of the limited offerings(many trucks are closed on Saturdays and even more on Sundays) to satisfy a Bahn Mi craving. At least on the weekend, Rolls Plus is operated by one guy. Yes, it takes some time to have an order filled and yes it’s a little too long, but at the end of the day I was satisfied with my purchase. The Bahn Mi was great and exactly what I was hoping for. I added a pork bun for good measure, which was huge and delicious, coming to a grand total of $ 5! If you’re willing to wait a big and craving something specific, it’s definitely worth it; however, if the full selection of carts had been available and/or I hadn’t had such a specific craving for Bahn Mi, I would have probably gone elsewhere.

I have been here for several months now and I am only now starting to discover the food carts. Not to say that I haven’t passed by on many occasions, I just haven’t had the wont to go, especially with all the other food and places to try. I enjoy food truck/cart food. I sought them out while down in Texas. Always great food. Well, downtown had a whole block of the trucks with every kind of food imaginable. Today was Vietnamese. I can’t pass up a good looking Bahn Mi. And one that was only $ 3.75 to boot. That’s the price they should be. If someone is charging you $ 8 – 10 for one, you’re getting overcharged. Go elsewhere, like here. Rolls Plus Grill. I will say, it’s not the most original name but if the food is good, who cares? There are four choices for bahn mis. BBQ pork, chicken, pork sausage and tofu/veggie. Everything that is suppose to be in this sandwich is there. Jalapenos, pickled carrots and daikon, cilantro, mayo and for me a healthy shot of sriracha sauce. They have steamed buns, phở, sushi and even dessert buns. All prices were really low and the gentleman running the cart was very friendly. It’s a good place to go back to. Enjoy.

Food was just okay, but it was REALLY slow. Only one guy working, and it had to take 20 minutes to get a Bahn Mi and Spring Roll. The food I got was fine, but nothing amazing. A friend got some sushi rolls. Not sure which roll, but it had crap in it. She didn’t like them and gave them to me. At a couple, but ended up tossing the last piece. Maybe their other rolls are better. These weren’t. Prices were good, but I couldn’t justify that kind of wait most days, especially given the quality of the food.

When: Saturday afternoon, 12PM Group Size: 2 Total Bill: $ 6.50(not including tip) Experience in a few words: Not bad We definitely enjoyed their banh mi sandwich! It had fresh bread, lots of cilantro and a nice amount of spice(sriracha) to it. It was really good, but nothing super spectacular. We also order a «spring roll». We were expecting the fried type of spring roll, but when he gave us our order, it was was we know to be as a «summer roll»(the kind with fresh veggies, rice vermicelli noodles, and shrimp, with peanut sauce). Although it wasn’t what we originally wanted, we aren’t the type of people to send anything back, so we just ate it. And it turned out in our favor. It was nice and refreshing and the only thing I would change is making the peanut sauce a bit thicker for the summer roll. If you want the fried spring roll, make sure to ask for the«fried roll» so they don’t give you the summer roll, as we received. But if you DO get the summer roll, give it a try anyways, since it was really good. =) If we are ever in Portland again and around the area, we would be back for the banh mi if anything.

The grilled chicken banh mi hit the spot after a long day of errands. Their baguette was OK, not a whole lot to rave about. The grilled chicken was tasty and blended well with the other common ingredients. At the bottom of the banh mi, it had two different sauces, bbq and mayo? They could easily get away by just using one sauce. The spring rolls compliment the banh mi pretty well. They are portioned pretty big for $ 1.50. The only down side about the spring rolls that they’re served in wax paper, which made it impossible unwrapping without destroying the spring roll.

Tried the pork banh mi. Great taste with lots of veggies and a little kick. The bread is a bit crustier than I like. I’d definitely recommend!

For a food cart, the sushi is pretty good. I had sushi combo #2 that included 4 pieces of California roll, 4 pieces of eel and 3 pieces of tofu skin for $ 7. I also ordered a side of seaweed salad for $ 2. The sushi was fresh and tasty. I didn’t get a chance to eat it right away but it still tasted good when it was cold. I particularly liked the California eel roll. So basically it’s a California roll with eel on top. I think it’s better than just a plain eel and avocado roll. The seaweed salad was just right, not too salty or sour. I also tried soft shell crab for an amazing price of $ 3 a piece. You might have to wait a little for them to freshly deep fry the crab. It’s very tasty. It’s something that you would pay triple at a decent restaurant. The beef phở here was decent as well. The broth was clean and the meat was tender. The portion was a bit small though for phở. I also had a salad roll here. I didn’t like it too much. It was premade but it must have been a while ago because it didn’t taste’t so fresh. They added pickled carrots to the salad roll. It made it taste weird and soggy. Overall, the sushi and soft shell crab were my favorite. The sushi combo is enough for 2 people and with the price, it’s hard to beat.

To balance the fried chicken lunch, I decided to get a couple other favorites of ours for our food truck picnic. Roll Plus Grill is a tiny little cart that has japanese and vietnamese foods. Everything from sushi and sides to phở and bahn mi sandwiches. I ordered a couple small items: *$ 3.508″ Pork Bahn Mi Sandwich, cut in half, *$ 1.50 each Tuna Nigiri, *$ 2.00 Seaweed Salad, *$ 1.00 Diet Coke We enjoyed everything they had and only paid $ 8.00 total for everything. I thought it was an excellent balance to the other food I collected and we had a sweet little picnic for two.

Not being a sushi eater, what caught my attention at this cart is the banh mi(Vietnamese sandwich). The price was very much right at $ 3.50. For anyone not familiar with this food item it’s basically a baguette often with some meat(chicken or pork being most common) and filled with vegetables like carrots, cucumbers, cilantro, tomato, and sometimes some mayo. The owners offered me a spicy version and I couldn’t say no so they added some peppers to the sandwich. The sandwich itself looked pretty good, all the requisite items were present. It even had some pretty good flavors to it, nothing super exciting but totally edible. Hard part about the meal was the baguette was sort of… empty. They hardly put any ingredients into it. If you sat this banh mi next to say, another one from another cart/restaurant, this one would look skimpy. I actually did this, with another banh mi from a cart right around the corner(with the same $ 3.50 price tag) and found this sandwich contained about ½ the amount of food. I know, each place is going to be somewhat different but there was hardly any chicken in my chicken banh mi. I left this sandwich pretty disappointed.
