I decided to try all the seasonal beers and to my surprise, they had quite a few sours on tap. Unfortunately the sour beers weren’t that great. A few off the top of my head was the peach sour, passion fruit sour, and an orange sour. None of them tasted that great and I was pretty disappointed. This isn’t knocking the brewery — I typically enjoy Rogue and their ales & stouts. The experimental/seasonal stuff wasn’t that good. The restaurant itself serves lots of food and has Rogue whiskey available too.

Star lost due to over cooked Reuben. Server Colleen was amazing and fixed it right away. Still a wonderful joint!

This was our first stop for drinks and snacks on our Saturday evening, and it was a great time. We asked our server quite a few questions about the beers and she was super helpful in steering us toward some excellent selections. We had a couple of drinks here along with a couple rounds of pretzels(super delicious!), and moved on to the next place. I wish we had just stayed at Rogue, though! The beer and food there was right up our alley and it was one of our favorite stops of the trip.

A little dirty, go for the tasty beer, but not the food. Crab cake sliders were an interesting and delicious appetizer, but burgers are overdone and low on meat, the pulled pork is too sweet for BBQ.

Awesome beer. I highly recommend the brown ale. All their glasses are $ 5. The fried cheese curds looked amazing.

Terrible service. Staff are rude and inattentive. Décor in the restaurant is unimpressive. The beer is only marginally better. Take a short walk to Deschutes where everything is actually enjoyable. Don’t buy merch here either, they actually don’t do returns, even if you have a receipt. That or the guy we spoke to was just being as impolite as the service we got the day before.

Surprisingly, the service here was fast. I’m used to slower service in the Portland/Beaverton area whenever I visit. The food here was dericious but I really can’t give a good review without coming back here again and trying something else(since I don’t usually eat fish and chips all too often). The cider was good! I ordered fish and chips; can’t say I was in love with it. It was a little too greasy for my liking. I wasn’t a big fan of the breading. It was good though, just not my favorite.

Terrible terrible service! It’s was so bad– we found a empty table outside but it took the waitress 30 mins before she came back to clean if for us! Finally she took our drink order it took another 15 mins to get them(btw she did apologize) so we decided to order food NO surprise another 20 mins before we got it– then it really wasn’t that good tbh we would of went to 10 Barrel which always have great food and service but we had our puppy with us & needed outside seating I don’t think we will be ever going back to this place

Their hazelnut beer is one of those drinks that you crave around the holiday seasons. The bartender told me to come ask him for a magic trick once I’m halfway done with my hazelnut beer. What he ended up doing was pouring another layer of beer on top of my remaining drink. I thought that combo was good and definitely enjoyed how friendly the environment here was. Overall though, I just thought my experience was just ok.

I came to Portland with the intention of hitting up Rogue and on my last day in town, I realized that I hadn’t! After a late breakfast, I moseyed on over to Rogue. Since it was early in the day, there weren’t many people there, so it was a pretty quiet environment. Matthew did make me a card carrying member of Rogue Nation. I ordered a flight of 4 beers and the only one that really stood out was the Hazelutely Choctabulous. Imagine a Snickers Bar in beer form. After my flight I went across the street to 10 Barrel Brewing. At this point it was a 3 star review. After a few beers at 10 Barrel, we decided to return to Rogue for one last drink before our flight home. Out of curiosity I asked Matthew what they made using the Voodoo Bacon Maple Vodka and he proceeded to make me a White Russian. I can honestly say that it was one of the better White Russians that I’ve had in a while. Using cream in lieu of milk and a piece of bacon as a garnish were nice touches. The atmosphere was considerably louder, thanks in part to a group of Warriors. Thanks for the great time Matt and we hope to see you soon.

Rogue is another awesome bar with tiny spaced seating in the bar area. If you see someone get up, shoot straight to the bar. They can get busy in here so make sure to stick yourself out there for a beer/food. They are known for their flights because they’re served in this rolling pin-type carrier which is unique. I ordered their Rogue Farms 7 Hop IPA which is refreshing and not too bitter as I expected. It’s a blend of all 7 hop varieties. It has a nice amber color with smooth takedown. A tall glass runs at $ 5 which gives you a bank for your buck. I recommend putting Rogue onto your beer list. It’s hip and has a this rock n roll type atmosphere.

This place was great! I was excited to try their ciders but they were all SO sweet even I couldn’t do a full glass of them. We ordered some pretzels and wings for the table and ended up ordering more pretzels cause they were so good! Their spicy mustard was so good with the pretzels that we bought some to take home but my husband says its not as good as it was there. They have a lot of really good shirts as well!

Beer tasting is apparently the thing to do in Portland so if you love that, you’ll definitely be able to check out a bunch. Met up with some friends in town here. Had the beer flight which was good but they kept messing up our order. My favs were the chocolate stout and the Hefeweizen. Both really yummy

This location is very similar to Deschutes in the fact that it is more restaurant/bar and not a real showcase of the food. However, this place was a bit quirkier and more comfortable surroundings. I got a kind of old«dive bar» type of feel here where the furniture and surroundings were a bit old but that they had a lot of good beer and food available to try. They had a lot of special brews available to try and I generally felt like if I had a choice earlier in the day, this wouldn’t have been the last stop of my Portland trip since my stomach was literally all beered out. Although I didn’t see anything bottled worth buying, I did try their non alcoholic root beer and an order of fish and chips, the fish being ahi tuna It tasted different but odd in the fact that I usually eat ahi tuna rare. The fries were good and our server was also very helpful. Big picture: I took out of my Portland experience that the customer service in restaurants and bars was a notch above any city that I’ve been to. They definitely get it here. I did find a cool Rogue green dry wick shirt for my workouts. Yes it may make me look like a University of Oregon student but it really was a cool color. Most likely, I will see their Newport location if I ever do go to a Rogue location again.

This place is awesome. Beer lovers paradise. Came in on a Wednesday evening and sat at the bar. Bartender was friendly and helpful. They were doing trivia and I tasted a few of MANY beers in draft Had the fish and chips, was very good albeit a little on the small side. But that’s funr., more room for beer! Prices are affordable and they have a lot of swag available for purchase.

Funky brew pub! Walked in and the bartender was very friendly and helpful. I ordered 4 different beers to try and a pizza to share at lunch time. I took home two bottles of the spicy siracha stout. If you like experimental beer this is the place to go.

By far my favorite brewery out of all the ones I visited during my visit to Portland. The environment was super down to earth and chill and our waiter was extremely helpful and friendly! Each person in my group ordered our own custom made flights depending on our preferences. My flight consisted of the Cold Brew IPA, the Fruit Salad Ale, the Oatmeal IPA and the Good Chit Pilsner. The Cold Brew IPA was amazing and I’ve never tasted anything like it. My friends and I loved the beer so much that we ended up getting growlers of our favorite beers to bring back on the plane. I wish they had Rogue down in San Diego because I truly loved all the beers I tried. I’m definitely making my friend bring me a growler when she comes to visit next!

This place was AMAZING!!! Definitely coming back soon. When I first had a look at their beer list I was incredibly overwhelmed. So many options that looked absolutely delectable. As a result I ended up going with a sampler tray so I could try multiple options without getting belligerently intoxicated. I made sure to get pretty differing beers and all of them did not disappoint. Though I had quite a few different beers, there are plenty more I’m dying to try out. You don’t have to be a beer connoisseur in order to enjoy yourself here. They posses plenty of alternatives that I’m sure you will enjoy. The ambience here was your typical relaxed Portland themed weirdness. I thoroughly enjoyed this establishment and the great service further ensured my good time. Great for a night out with friends as well as a chill night with your significant other. You have got to check this place out if you’re in Portland!

This place was great once long ago. I have tried to come back and love this place again in recent years but holy crash and burn. The food is «meh» at very best. The beer is fine. The service is awful. The bartender that has been working there for years and years seems burned out, forgetting orders and being rude as hell when corrected or asked about orders that he forgot to put through. This place used to have a special place in my heart, I had my college grad party here, now though… you couldn’t pay me to go in. I just hope the Rogue at the beach hasn’t dumped too. That would be a heart breaker. Two stars ONLY for decent beer… ONLY.

Really funny bathroom signs. Hops is Mens and Barley is womens. You’ll see when you get there. Love the flight trays and they’re reasonably price. Crowded on a Friday night but I was seated with my party of 7 in about 5 minutes.

I visited five breweries on a weekend trip to Portland and Rogue was my favorite one. The vibe in this place was very casual and everyone was super friendly and helpful, including our server! My three friends and I each ordered a flight that came with 4 beers each & shared the tater tots. The four beers in my flight consisted of the Cold Brew IPA, the Fruit Salad Berry Hop Ale(not sure if that’s its exact name), the Oatmeal IPA, and the Good Chit Pilsner. All of the flavors were unique, tasted great, and had flavors that matched their names perfectly. The tots were amazing, my favorite appetizer to get at a bar! I liked the beer I had so much at Rogue that I went to their store in the Portland Airport on my way home to get a souvenir for my boyfriend. I ended up getting him the PDX Carpet India Pale Ale & he loved it when I brought it home. If visiting Portland, you have to come here! I had a great experience & was able to bring beer home with me on my flight home. Helpful hint: you can buy a bottle of beer at the PDX airport for $ 7.25 or you can buy a 64 oz growler & have it filled with the Rogue beer of your choice on tap for only $ 20! Definitely a bargain considering how good & unique their beer is!

This is a Portland staple producing some the best beer out there. Their flights are definitely the way to go! We got two flights of four since the night was long gone and this was our last stop before calling it. Like expected their beers was all off the chain. Their Jalapeño beer was definitely one of my favorites. I remember the first time I tried a jalapeño beer at Banger Brewing in Vegas and it was the cat’s meow. This one, same reaction. Maybe I just really jam on jalapeño beers? They also had cold brew that was just that. Not my favorite but probably b/c I’m not exactly Juan Valdez if you catch my drift. All the others were really good. Don’t remember all what we had but I just remember the cold brew being the only one that I didn’t really care for. Oh yeah, that one and the sour. It tasted flat and was warm. My bud said it was suppose to taste like that which if it was, I’m not much of a fan of.

If your looking for great beer and great food this is the place! I’ve been with my family twice and have always had a good time! The poutine is amazing as well as the fish and chips. The fish was battered and fried to perfection! Our waitress was upbeat and happy to help with anything we needed! Definitely check this place out.

I’m a Citizen of the Rogue Nation. I enjoy the Stouts and Porters — and the nut brown(Snickers is a good way to cover all bases!) We came for a co-worker’s retirement party — had made arrangements ahead of time so hade reserved spots. Our server(so sorry I can’t remember her name — Cathleen? Colleen?) was super fantastic — perfect amount of sass and tolerance for a big, hard to wrangle group. The beer was tasty, the atmosphere was just right for our occasion and the food was a ½ step up from the usual pub grub. Thanks Rogue!

Solid 3.5 stars. Not sure my thoughts about this place. I think people are largely driven here because of their cool bottling, but their beer is a bit lacking. Both times i’ve been here, I’ve opted for the beer flight and tater tots to share. I’ve tried some good beers, but it is just alright. Those tater tots are perfect though! I definitely come here for touristy reasons, but there are many other good breweries to take advantage of.

The beer is pretty good, that’s the only reason that I’d ever go back to try it out again. My husband and I sat at the bar and had to greet the bartenders before they acknowledged us, one bartender ignored us completely. We weren’t offered food menus, they didn’t answer questions I had about the beers and overall they weren’t friendly. We were pretty bummed, there are so many cool pubs and breweries in Portland so spend your money somewhere more enjoyable! I did appreciate the signs they had saying«No cellphones aloud at the Bar» people need to put them away every now and then!

8-Hop IPA was bright and went great with the smokehouse stack burger. Tots are always going to earn a star in my book, too. Our server was nice and friendly. It was purely coincidence, but happened in on opening day of the holiday ‘garage sale’ and scored some bargains on cases of 22s. Nice.

Thank your waitress Colleen for that. How rude. Yes our party of 15 just got off a brew bike tour but none of the bars on the tour had the gumption to make assumptions like you did. I happened to join my family for a post thanksgiving adventure but only had one beer this whole day. Thought we’d give your establishment some business seeing that your next door to the end of our tour but rest assured I will not be back(and I only live 2mi away). Some of us may have been rowdy, but some of us were pregnant, there were definitely DDs sober and here for fun. For you to take everyone’s order, get to me, ask what I wanted, end of the night response: Jameson’s, then rebut to me: «how about some water instead» is presumptuous and RUDE. I would have walked out if my cousins didn’t ask me to stay. Rude. Rude. Rude! I cannot believe you said that. You must not like customers, or tips… Offensive and appalling… Tsk tsk tsk.

Rogue is a great spot to have a beer, upscale bar food, and you can bring your kids. They are very kid-friendly and have changing tables and toys available. Service was great and we both enjoyed our cider and beer. We had the kobe burger and the steak tacos– both were very tasty and a good portion. I like their fries. Nice and crispy The blue ball appetizer(meatballs with blue cheese) were so incredibly salty they were actually inedible. We told the server that they were too salty when she cleared our table and she had the cook make one for her and agreed there was a problem with the recipe. They were over the top salty. She kindly comped them for us although we were just letting her know– we didn’t expect anything in return! They make their own Rogue blue cheese which is creamy and delectable. We loved the cheese. All in all Rogue is a good spot and street parking is abundant. Especially a good spot– even a destination– if you have a baby or kids.

Snapshot: Beer Options: 5/5, Food: 3.4÷5, Service 3⁄5. A Portland main stay that offers a wide variety of beers. Plus, they are a distillery. Get a shot of the Maple Bacon Vodka, it’s like breakfast! The food was not bad for being a bar. The tots are a must. The Halibut Fish and Chips were good. I wasn’t impressed why the Burger. Ample seating and tons of swag. Try the 7 Hop, Pumpkin, the Yellow Snow IPA was ok.

Well, I love Rogue beer, but sadly this was a bit of a disappointing experience. After checking their food menu online, and salivating over their salmon particularly we gleefully headed over. The space is pretty rustic, feeling like a kind of divey tavern — not necessarily a bad thing at all, but not what we were expecting. Our server was very friendly and I was pleased by their variety of drinks — really cool that they have so many of their spirits too! However, when we looked at the food menu it was COMPLETELY different from what was online and sadly there were none of the things that we had been excited about eating. We had a couple of drinks and moved on somewhere else for dinner. Please keep your website updated with your menu — it was a disappointment that could have been easily avoided.

Incredible line-up of Rogue beers. Tough to find Rogue beers even on tap. TV in the main bar room and a huge gift shop with tons of tee-shirt designs and Rogue swag for the craft beer memorabilia collectors. Flights are available at a reasonable price(flights of 5).

Came here on a Saturday around Noon to check it out. Taster glasses are 4ozs each and a set of four costs $ 7.50. Here is what I thought: Liked: 1. Brutal IPA Indifferent: 1. Dead Guy Ale 2. Marrionberry Braggot Didn’t Like: 1. 7 Hop Cider The service I had at the bar was very good and it wasn’t a problem to use my phone to take notes about the beer. They just don’t want people talking on the phone while at the bar – which is a totally reasonable request. I would come back again.

This was one out of five breweries we hit up. We walked here from Deschutes as most of us were already inebriated. Small(ish) location, amusing fake bathroom door for Gentlemen,(guess none are really welcome here, lol). I thought the bottle with the raw material was pretty cool to show how much goes into one beer. I didn’t care for what I ordered but that’s just my dumb opinion.(I had one of those pink Voodoo bottles). Anyway, they have tots here that was pretty popular with the group, but then again, we were all pretty drunk, lol. I’ll come back again and try something different :)

This is the 2nd brewery we hit up on our brew crawl and it was pretty good. I started out with the taster’s tray which carried an assortment of 4 different beers and all were good. I then decided to go with the double chocolate stout & the imperial pilsner and both were pretty good as well. We drank so much we became hungry again… I went with the sriracha wings and they were pretty good also. Place was pretty packed as most people were getting off of work… we were lucky to find the last 2 seats at the bar. Good brewery!

Rogue is like the hot bad boy you had a one night stand with, regretted, and never wanted to look back. But when you bump into him again a year later, your heart skips a beat and you’re tempted to go for another round. It could go great, okay, or worse than before. My second chance with Rogue? It was just A-OK. Hitting up Rogue twice(gasp!) during my latest Portland trip, I noticed service was nothing like my first time. We actually got our beers in a timely manner! This may be because we went during off times? Rogue is definitely very divey. The place ain’t the cleanest, but hey, they have a huge selection of beer… so that’s awesome. PS. Get the Rogue Hazelnut Nectar!

I always get the Dirtoir, unless they’ve got the Russian Imperial Stout. Both great and pack a punch. They’ve got good Kobe burgers and all the normal pub grub. But it’s the beer.
