Salad and a slice is a great lunch special! Was actually surprised with with size of the salad! Loved the kale salad and pied piper pizza.

My wife and I feel that Pizzacato’s pizza is by far the best in Portland and in San Diego where we used to live. None of the other local pizza vendors comes close. We love the slice and salad combo for lunch. The combination of ingredients is always creative and delicious.

Since this Pizzicato location is superclose to my work, I get the pleasure of testing some of their new creations. Today I am trying the El Camino, and I hope the promise delivers. Last time I had the Puttanesca which has artichokes in it, my new try has gorgonzola on it. While I wait, to inform you of the Boylan gingerale, it is just that: gingerale with not enough ginger for my taste but plenty of sugar. So when the El Camino arrived, I bit into a thin, nice and crispy crust. From the garlicky taste I am guessing they use the dried form, because you had better beware, it is quite noticeable and probably on my breath now as well(and I have to work another 4.5 hours!!!). Plus it has fresh garlic on it as well – unfortunately I was searching for the gorgonzola. And the crust was plain dough, perfect but not an additional flavor. It is a cheap dinner for the quality so I will continue to get my pizza here. Next time I am going to try the Winter squash & chèvre. One more note: Pizzicato is supporting P: ear(for creative mentoring of homeless youth) by matching your donation. Unfortunately no one told me while I was paying.

Best pear arugula salad ever ! Love their artisan pizza and salad/pizza lunch deal but it’s that salad that keeps me coming back. Not to mention pretty great customer service. Can’t beat the location either. 23rd rocks

Pizza was okay, the service was okay, Caesar salad was floating out of the plate was too much dressing,(not very good). Asked for another bottle hot sauce and said that’s all they had(empty) and noticed an employee on break with a fresh bottle, didn’t even bother putting it out for customers, took it right back to the kitchen for them to use. Very disappointed because I won’t be coming back.

Yuck. Cold, undercooked, greasy, and the crust seemed like it was made days ago and(barely) reheated. Very unfriendly service from the counter dude also. This place has definitely jumped the shark. Used to be good way«back in the day», but now it’s just a lingering presence on 23rd. Sadly, the only other pizza choice in NW is Escape from NY, and it is marginally worse on all accounts.

We are in town to house hunt from Dallas, TX. Stopped in here and had a fabulous Spinich and Feta and a tomato and mozerella Paninni. My wife’s was on gluten bread that was awesome. Really fresh, really fast, really good.

Good quality pizza with nice crispy bottom crust. Arugula pear salad was delicious and service courteous.

Wow, wow, and wow. That’s all I can really say about Pizzicato. I wandered in here because my trusty Unilocal app told me it was Vegan friendly and I was starving. While their menu doesn’t have a lot of Vegan options(one Vegan, many Vegetarian) outlined, there are plenty of custom options that you should take advantage of, should you crave a plant-based pizza. I started with the kale salad, which was literally one of the best salads I’ve ever had. The kale was crisp and fresh, the dressing was tasty, the shredded carrot, pumpkin seeds, and cranberry gave it the perfect crunch and tartness. Simply excellent! But the main event came when my pizza arrived. I ordered the mushroom pizza sans cheese with spinach, onions, peppers, and garlic oil that took the place of tomato sauce. The crust was crunchy and delicious and the toppings were fresh. From start to finish, Pizzicato was a mouthwatering experience. There is plenty of room for seating both indoors and outdoors and this location is situated in the most charming part of Nob Hill, where you can shop and stroll around the entire day. Enjoy!

Ok, so after I had my negative experience at Pizzicato, I received a phone call from a manager in Austin, Texas and we talked about my experience. He gave me a free pizza coupon and asked that I try again. So I did and I have to say, the pizza was MUCH better. The crust is still a little bland, but overall I had a good pizza experience. To be honest, I was too scared to try delivery and opted to pick up in the store. Again, good customer service there. I probably won’t order the kale chicken pizza again and stick to the basics, but I’lll definitely continue to give them my business. I appreciate their willingness to reach out to their customers. Maaaybe, just maybe, next time I’ll try the delivery.

Terrible service, good couple bites of my panini before I lost my appetite from the wait for the rest of my food. Salad came with spilled messy dressing container and I waited 20 minutes for 2 slices of pizza while my wife received her messed up slice of pizza supposed to be goat cheese and came with 2 types of dairy on it. Gave up and got full refund. Won’t bother ever trying there again when there’s respectable food joints everywhere. If I could give negative stars I would. :(

Ordered and paid for a three topping pie and salad to go. Got a two topping pie missing one topping I paid for. Good news is that pizza and salad were pretty good. Bad news is that my entire family of four had food poisoning and we were all sick that night. Never going here again. Miserable night. Ruined last day of an otherwise good vacation to Portland.

After personally stopping at the store to place my delivery order(I was rushing to a meeting and couldn’t wait to take it with me), I was told to expect an hour to 1:15 minute wait. Ten minutes shy of two hours our pizza arrived. We frequent this restaurant. I asked the delivery driver — who was not at fault — to convey my concerns to management and have them contact me. No follow-up or call today. Very dissatisfied.

Have only eaten on the to go area,(left side when you enter the room) so this review is for that. Pizza was really good. Fast. And friendly staff.

Not a huge fan of the wait time for the pizza but I am, however, a fan of their pizza. It’s not as good as SFNY pizza in my opinion but it’s close enough for me to finish it all even though I wasn’t even that hungry. Also, it came out super hot and fresh so of course I’m happy about that. Only thing is, I would not come by here if I’m super hungry because it takes almost forever for the food to come out.

I thought the pizza here was decent, not bad and not good. +Crisp, thin crust pizza but nice large slices. I like that it was not oily. +Pepperoni was tasty. –Just didn’t feel like it was anything special. –Service was subpar. Kind of felt like serve yourself but gourmet?

My first thought is, it’s a solid lunch choice. They offer a slice and a substantial salad for $ 7.25. You get to pick the slice and the type of salad. The place is conveniently located in the middle of fashionable 23rd Ave. I enjoyed the super thin crust and the salad(I had the pear Gorgonzola) was really tasty. If I lived in the area I might frequent the place, but it’s not really a place I would go out of my way to get to. Again, it’s a solid lunch choice.

Have tried Pizzicato«Gourmet PIzza» two times now and I’m not a fan. The first time I tried a basic slice of pepperoni and it was cold, undercooked, flavorless, and somehow even the dough was greasy. I thought I’d give it a second chance and go the safe route custom ordering my own to go, a sausage, pepperoni, and spinach, my go-to classic. Unfortunately though the complaints were exactly the same as before! The pizza was so greasy I felt like it was eating through the box, none of the ingredients had any flavor, it was overloaded with so much cheese it was inedible, again the pizza came cold, and worst of all well undercooked. I’d steer clear of what PIzzicato is calling gourmet pizza and just go grab a slice from Sizzle Pie.

Margherita Pizza is my favorite. Their Margherita pizza kicks some major ass. They deliver to our apartment in NW, prices are decent, and the food is awesome! I highly recommend Pizzacato when you get that pizza craving.
