Solid beer selection, pretty damned good pizza too. A little too much cheese for me, but if you like cheese, this will be great.

This is an ok Pizza Schmizza location. Dark and depressing inside, one crappy table outside. A good representative of how mediocre NW21st is in general.

Paid full price during happy hour. Nuff said. All I got was a cheese pizza and the crust was dank but I wish I didn’t have to pay the extra 75 cents. It’s the principle of the thing

The BEST Schmizza in Portland! Great atmosphere, great customer service, great selection of brews on draft, Super Nintendos, fun event nights… the list goes on! Love this place eat in or take out. It’s all amazing, low-key loveliness. Decent amount of seating inside and a pinball machine resides here.

From getting to hear staff complain about each other and managers at other location, to the laissez faire style of ‘waiting’ on people, last night(8÷31÷15) really took the cake. I sat at the bar. And waited. And waited. The person behind the bar was washing cups and talking to a couple of patrons at the bar. She looked over at me a few times. And I waited. After about 5 minutes I went to the register and just got pizza to go. I pointed out to the woman that she didn’t wait on me at the bar and she claimed she didn’t see me, despite making eye contact more than once. I waited tables/tended bar for the better part of 10 years, legit, unless you’re blind the only reason to ‘not see’ someone is because you don’t want to do you job. Over it.

Quality Pizza! My personal favorite is the Genoa(Pepperoni, Sausage, olives, mushrooms, and genoa salami) But you really can’t go wrong on any of the pizzas. Jesse, master pizza guy is the man! They have a wonderfully friendly and professional staff. Big projector screen for major sport events. Super Nintendo by request. Theme nights every night. My favorite nights are Friday and Saturday nights KARAOKE nights. Public singing and tipping gets you up singing quick! Best system and selection in the area and their KJ(karaōke jockey) Jessica rocks! This place is my Cheers… Great selection of beer on tap, late night delicious pizza, you can’t go wrong! I would highly recommend the Schmizza experience to any lover of great pizza, great drinks and a lot of fun!

The pizza was pretty good — I’ve found that Pizza Schmizzas consistently have good pizza. The Karaōke here was a bit weird. It’s in a corner and the song choices were very selfish. The staff seemed a bit all over the place and confused. Good pizza and decent beer selection. My impression is that this place is a hit or miss depending on when you go.

Environment: Great for an after Timber’s party if your down for some Karaōke. Food Quality: Good beer selections, but food is generic. We did order a traditional pepperoni pizza which could explain that comment. Service: Fantastic! Quick and friendly.

The pizza has improved a lot over the years — now the flavor is very fresh and interesting, without being some crazy expensive artisan situation. The cosmetic updates and change in layout are wonderful as well. This used to look like the place the high school kids would make a mess after school; now it seems like a friendly neighborhood pub for adults that’s more relaxed that several nearby choices. There’s quiet-by-myself seating, and ballgame-with-friends seating(with bigscreen TV). Well done, Schmizza!

Went here after a Timbers game. The Genoa pizza slice was good and fresh, and the atmosphere was cool. Not a gamer or karaōke-er, but both were well utilized when I was there. Next time I’m in the area I will probably stop in. My experience deserves five stars.

Regarding a recent review in which the patron was supposedly snubbed by the owner… I was at Pizza Schmizza during the supposed incident and everything that my fellow Unilocaler posted is completely fabricated. I was standing at the end of the bar between the owner and the disgruntled patron talking to the owner for at least 45 minutes. Never at any point did the owner touch the gaming system or the patron’s beer. When you leave your spot at the bar without leaving a jacket or covered beer, you can’t expect to get your seat back when you return… especially on Saturday night. I’m not sure why this person is creating lies to ruin someone’s business. But, I will tell you with all honesty that Pizza Schmizza has become an amazing place to unwind EVERY night of the week. Tequila Tuesdays, Ladies’ Night Wednesdays, Trivia Thursdays, Karaōke on Fridays and Saturdays, and you can always count on the games to be on(Go Blazers!!!). Super friendly staff(I call many of them friends), tasty beer, good Happy Hour, and as always delicious beer.

Mediocre pizza. Mediocre service. Warm beer. Douchy 21 year olds. Great if you’re starving and need a late night bite.

My husband and I were just driving around downtown area and came across this place. The food is really good! They have pizza by the slice or you can order a whole pizza. They also have other food options if you don’t want pizza. This is a cool bar. It’s loud because they have the game on but if you like that then it’s not a problem. If you want a quiet table then this isn’t the place for you. Randy was one of the guys working when we came in and he was so nice and helpful. I would come back!

Good service and friendly staff. Good selection of drinks. Sadly, pizza itself is mediocre at best. Greek salad was okay. Wah. :(

Went here last night with some friends for a slice and salad. We walked in to order and there is a booth seat next to the counter where all the pizzas are that is by itself. My friend went to sit on it and it literally fell apart causing my friend to fall into me and then onto the ground. Her knee is bruised up today and the guy working said sorry but didn’t even acknowledge that she was hurt and continued to take our order. All of us laughed at first and then she said her knee was really hurting. The guy even admitted liability but didn’t do anything about it. For something to happen like that, which I’m sure is a common thing… They should remove the defected seat as a precaution to their customers. The guy said to not be embarrassed but didn’t even bother to offer a free drink or salad for the mishap that is obviously schmizza’s fault. There shouldn’t be a booth that comes apart without a sign on it saying so or saying to not sit on it. As for the pizza, I killed a spider headed towards one of them and there were more than a few flies crawling on them. Overall I would say service was hardly any and the common decency of being a good employee is making sure your customers are taken care of. I will not be coming back here until that effing booth is fixed or taken out.

Great pizza, and great beer. I docked one star because there were only two guys working, and it took a really long time for them to take the order. I will definitely be back, and hopefully they have a little bit more staff working.

This is a 3.5 Star Review. I do like this place. Mel P. and I were looking around at Midnight for a place to eat in Portland“s «Hip“ster neighborhood, the«Alphabet District». Say Wah?, what evs, we were STARVING! We had just pushed our Carts all the way from Seattle to Seattle Lite. Of course we Unilocal Apped our way around the ‘hood. The first place we wanted to go to had closed their kitchen. I was fine with dining A’ la Carte from their cans out back. But Mel wasn’t having that this night. Next up was the Silver Dollar Pizza Company. WE could hear this place 2 blocks away. We went in anyways. Damn, 90% of the women in there had Blonde hair, Fo Reels! We got a seat, no waitstaff, very loud, we left. Unilocaled again and decided on Schmizza. Walking in, it looks like a Franchise kind of place. Maybe it is? But the space is nicely laid out. Was clean too. They had the usual kinds of pies on display. We picked a few slices out, they warmed them in the oven. Then we started eating. It was good pizza. I was switching between slices. Mel was eating hers one at a time. They have a bar on the left and booths on the right. They have Flat Screens for watching Sports. The Pizza is in the back. Is there table service? Thrill don’t know. We walked straight to the food. We were that hungry. We didn’t drink anything but water. We were tired. We ate our slices and left. We were there late at night. How it is at other times? Our experience was good, Slices good. Place was clean and service friendly and prompt. I’d definitely go again. Their trash cans gots to be a Gold Mine of half eaten slices! I’d push my cart there again for that! This place is Thrill Killer Approved. Check It OOOUUUTTT!!!

Bad pizza. Decent service. Good location. I swear they made 3 pizzas at 9am and cut slices off of that for the next week. Not only was the pie old, they burnt it when they reheated it for our order. It was also too expensive for generic, fake, phony, bad, burnt za. I had a bad time, and it was also stuffed with annoying sports fans. If you want good pizza without a headache go somewhere else.
