It’s hard to find good pizza around here, especially one that delivers. We’ve been getting pizza from here and have been very pleased with the taste. Once we’d figured out to place the delivery order before they begin delivery service so that we are near the top of the list when they do begin, the wait for delivery has rarely been too bad. And even on busy nights, we haven’t minded to short drive to do pick-up as the orders have always been ready… until today. We ordered a pie and breadsticks for pick up. My husband went to go get it and was told it was just 5 more mins. Fast forward 20 mins later, they realized the pizza had been done and sitting on top of the oven forgotten. Irritable hungry toddler in tow, my husband grabs the order and brings it home where we find a cold hard pizza missing the cheese base(this was an order miscommunication that would’ve happened even if the pizza was fresh) and barely edible bread sticks. You may be wondering **WHY** this is still a 5 star review by this point, right? Well that is because when we called in to complain, the manager was very helpful and thorough in making sure the situation was rectified. We got a new pizza and bread sticks delivered very fast, plus a cookie and brownie! Anyone can have a bad day. I judge a place more so on how they react to complications than when things are going well, and they know how to take care of their customers.

I made a mistake in writing my last review. I have been getting my pies at this Pizzicato location for more than 8 years now. Weekly, if not more often. My regular people were on vacation or on their days off when my bad pie got delivered, AND when I called in about it, too. I was treated really poorly on the phone call– basically just told to screw off. That is what made me so mad that I wrote the review right away. I could have waited for a response from the owners first. Had I known that all my ‘people’ were out and that someone with no customer service skills(or common sense) was handling the phone calls that night, I would have handled internally just between me and the restaurant and never written a bad review. Take note, restaurant owners, sometimes you only get one try to get it right. The people who work for you are as important– if not more– than the overall quality of your food. Customer service training is in full mode now, I got a very sincere apology from both of the employees I know well there and my pie was replaced — with one that is at the five star level they are usually always at. I, in turn, apologized and felt very bad for not trying to sort things out first. Food is emotional and nutrition to me– whether it is for anyone else or not, I do not know. But, I do know that I am fiercely loyal to the places that I order from that treat me so well. The pie being the best in town is secondary to me. It is still very important. But, I refuse to accept good food served to me by a jerk, either. Thanks for reading–

As a new yorker.. I am picky about my pie. Reminded me of home. While I would enjoy slightly thinner crust, that is up to consumer demand. Counter staff was friendly and the premises was clean. Will return. Cheers!

I’m from the Camas/Washougal area and I was out here at the Columbia store. Found this place, sounded good. First time, I got the BBQ Chicken pizza and it was delightful! Pretty tasty. The middle was a little doughy so it probably could have been cooked for a bit more, but it was actually very decent! Like some of the reviews said, the inside sit down is nothing special so it is more of a take-out location I would think. The bad reviews should come back and try it again, it really wasn’t that bad at all! I’d definitely eat here again!

Horrible customer service. 45 mins of delay on your order is unacceptable. There were 10 other upset and hungry customers waiting for their pizzas. Don’t pay for your order or tip before you pick up your orders. Worst part of this is that all 3 pizzas had soggy dough!!!

I like to go here for the lunch special; a slice of pizza and a salad. Both the pizza and the salads are always good. I really like the selection and size of the salads. One of my favorites is the arugula pear. The quality seems to be consistent, so I’ll be there regularly.

Pizzacato does not have my favorite pizza. For me, it is always too salty despite it’s very interesting ingredients. I enjoy their typically very fresh and beautiful salads though. All of them. There’s: Caesar, House, Chinese Chopped, Arugula Pear, Spinach, Kale, and Greek in the way of choices in three sizes. Love that too. This Pizzacato is closest to my house. It’s teeny and pretty lacking in atmosphere to eat in. There is a handful of tables and some counter seating. It is a little blah. Take out is the way to go. Trust me. I called it in and it was ready in 15 min. Awesome. Paninis with a side salad are $ 8.25. You can choose from any of their salads, I like that. The turkey and cheese panini was fine. Tomatoes were removed and handed to me by the non tomato eating consumer. The house side salad that came with it was fresh and lovely(those pretty little grape tomatoes were tossed onto my plate as well. Shrug). The sandwich isn’t the typical ridged panini you might expect, it’s on a ciabatta roll thats a bit dusty with flour on the outside, but it’s ok. Everything was deemed good by the eater. My chicken club panini was tasty enough. It had chicken, tomato, cheese, bacon, and avocado. The avocado was a bit brown but I dealt. My arugula pear salad was delicious. It is hands down my favorite salad: pear slices, gorgonzola, candied walnuts(and I usually loathe walnuts), and a savory balsamic dressing. I wished I had gotten only salad and skipped the panini honestly. Pizzacato has some good options for takeout. Try it.

My all time favorite pizza! I eat here once or twice at least every week and we love it. The menu is not overly huge which is a good thing in my opinion because everything I have gotten from here is always fresh. Their veggie pizza is especially good. Because it is such a busy place I find that it’s best to order an hour before you expect it if you’re getting delivery especially on the weekends unless you live extremely close then maybe it’s faster but it’s always been about an hour or more but I don’t mind because it’s literally that good. I will say they have gotten the order wrong once but they were so quick to fix their mistake and make it right. To me THAT is customer service and why I give it 5 stars.

Giving 4 stars for taste. The pizza is always good, pizzicato offers a wide variety of flavors. Lots of vegetarian options! I knocked off a star for waiting time. I’ve never waited less than an hour after ordering. The quality is worth the wait for me but still inconvenient. Free delivery is a plus!

We ordered a pizza on Holloween… granted it was a busy night. But when our pizza arrived it was floppy and soggy. By far the worst pizza I have ever ordered for delivery.

I LOVE Pizzicato. I have been in Ausitn for the last year and a half and have been craving Pizzicato for a year and a half. October special is always my fav, so I got here just in time. They have had the Italian sausage on the special in the past, and now they have bacon. I had them switch it out for my Itialian sausage, and it was fabulous as always. I love their crust, I love that I can now order whole wheat crust if I want. I also love the chopped salad. I didnt get enough dressing on it this time, but have been ordering it for years and it is usually perfect. Good to be home.

This location specifically is a 3. Pizzicato in general is a 5 star chain. My favorite pizza in Portland. Love it. This location is very clearly to — go only– and the staff makes sure you know that. The counter by the window isn’t comfortable to sit at, even while you wait. Service was brusque. We got a large BBQ chicken pizza to go– one of my standards. Not as much chicken or bbq sauce as normal, but still delicious and it was quickly devoured at home. We also had the house salad, which was excellent except for the dressing; the balsamic that they normally serve with it seemed unusually acidic. My guess is that it was a slightly«off» night, and my pizza addiction won’t keep us away. .Hopefully they are back on their game, and more welcoming, next time.

This place is such a great find for a newcomer to Portland. We visit or get delivery about once a week. The only downside, but a reflection of their quality, is they’re always busy. I mean always. We’ve tried several different pizzas and they have all been great. My personal favorite is the pepperoni supreme. Breadsticks are always fresh and delicious when you dip them in the marinara. We also always get a side salad and there are a variety to choose from. On the service side, the employees are always so nice and easy to talk with. Delivery person has been super friendly every time as well as they person manning the cash register. The one time my order went really long they proactively gave me a card for a free pizza. I also noticed them buy another customer a beer for his order taking some time. Lastly, I’ve noticed they do events and donate money to a specific local school for each event. Great food. Great employees. On top of it all, they’re great community members. Trifecta if you ask me!

My favorite pizza place! Their pizza crust had the perfect blend of chewy and crispy. I also love their arugula pear Gorgonzola salad.

It’s unfortunate how rude they are here, the food is good and it’s super close to my work but the employees seem so inconvenienced and annoyed by costumers that I won’t be back.

Pizzacato just gave my preschool class at Prince of Peace eight pizza boxes for letter P day! I will have a pizza parlor set up for them. Knew they would help out the community because we’ve been getting yummy food there for 19 years. My family’s first choice for pizza and salad always. Thank you Pizzacato!

My family loves the pizza here and the pizza(very veggie and putinisca) was very good. But normally is a half hour wait I ordered half hour out on my way home and had to wait over an hour. This is messed up. The problem I see is they now deliver. So if you love good pizza you better plan on waiting.

Visiting from out of town and wanted to grab something quick for lunch — this is anything but quick! I’ve been waiting 20 minutes and counting for a panini. Customers in front off called in their order and have been waiting for their order as long as I have. Finally after 30 minutes asked where my order was — still not ready. Asked for money back and left. It wasn’t even that busy! This doesn’t even deserve one star but must give at least one to post review. Lucky I don’t live here or I would tell everyone I know never to come here.

Good pizza and decent price. There are numerous choices if you order by the slice. Service at the location is friendly and fast. I do not know about delivery due to never using the service. I like the location on né 28th also. The Cornell store has limited seating in the cold months and plenty in the summer counting the outside area.
