The pizza was great! Friends and I stopped here for pizza and beer right after the Portland marathon. Small selection in beer also available. I only gave it for stars due to the service — the poor staff only had three guys back there and people lined up to the door. **owners — give your staff members a break!

I have been there many times and will not visit that place AGAIN! I could tolerate the stoned-out teenagers but when one of them made me Alfredo pasta(I substituted chicken with tomato), I was sick afterwards. The pasta was made with weak Alfredo, as in the sauce was too thin… barely noticeable. And they served me an insufficient amount pasta. I vomited and now have a weak voice.

My review is solely based on customer service. I called this place at exactly 8pm to order to go and was told to call back in 15 min because the driver was out. I call back at 8:16 and was put on hold by the driver because he had customers. As I am waiting for him to come back he hangs up the phone. It is now 8:20 and I call back because I believed it was a bad connection. However it was not. The driver hung up intentionally. When I call back I am told the cook has turned off the oven and they are no longer serving pizza. I would not have cared if I was told this in the beginning. The driver is probable just lazr. Customer service here is a joke. Hire new people that know what they are doing and actually sound like they care about their job.

I’ve been wanting to try Pizza Schmizza since there’s one close to my house, so I stopped in for a slice at lunchtime. I’m an Alfredo junkie, so I opted for the«No Kiss Tonight» — garlic chicken, red onions, feta and Alfredo sauce. It narrowly won out over the«Popeye & Olive Oil» — essentially a vegetarian version with spinach & tomatoes instead of chicken. I give them kudos for friendly service and for heating each slice in the oven before serving it. Most places just slide it right off the buffet and onto your plate. The taste itself was decent — I enjoyed the feta particularly — but nothing life-changing. The crust was thick, chewy and a bit bland, and overall my slice wasn’t quite up to its $ 3.99 value. It’s a review based on one slice, so don’t be scared away. But I’ll try something different if I return — and probably won’t go out of my way to do so.

In a city rightfully renowned for its culinary delights, replete with artesianal ingredients and inventive recipes, it can be easy to find something lacking in life. Opulence breeds more opulence and food starts to be spoken of in lofty, critical tones usually reserved for the 1%‘s bickering over American or Blood diamonds. In times like these, reconnect with your roots and recognize: sometimes, what you really want is a big, no-frills slice of pizza. Pizza Schmizza is unapologetically unpretentious, and makes a damn fine slice of dough, sauce, cheese and toppings. Is it cooked in a wood-fired oven? No. Is it made with exclusively locally-sourced ingredients? No. Do I care? No. Throw in a pint of rolling rock with your cheese or pepperoni slice between 2 and 6pm for $ 5 and you have a perfect cure for all the overpriced bourgeoisie nonsense that, much like the ants in my house, infests the Portland food scene.

Slice of reheated New York style tossed pizza was excellent. Maybe some of the reviewers here have never had real New York pizza. Anyway, the two guys working, one tossing and the other on the register were very service oriented and got the job done. Make no mistake, though, this is a hole in the wall with good pizza. But don’t let the exterior or interior put you off.

This place is disgusting and they should be ashamed to call themselves a restaurant. The pizza taste like slime and the employees are rude and entitled. In a city with so many options do not cheat yourself by eating at this piss poor restaurant. 100% awful experience, never going back.

The pizza here is simply OK. I had a slice of the margherita pizza heated up. It came as part of a special that included a drink for $ 5. I ducked in to escape the pouring-down rain and blustery wind and I just wanted to regroup before heading back out again. What really made this Pizza Schmizza visit stand out was the excellent and friendly customer service of the two gentlemen working at the time. They work well as a team and obviously get along well, but not at my expense. They brought me into their conversation and totally attended to my order immediately. Once I was seated, they cleaned up tables and continued chatting with me. Every customer was treated the same way as well. I enjoyed seeing they could have fun while working and still maintain great work AND customer service ethic. If you need a port in a storm, this is a fine place to rest and rejuvenate.

We’ve stayed at the hotel across the street several times, but we never made it in until our last trip. We were pressed for time before a movie and needed something quick. I ordered the Chicken Thai Pizza and my guy went with the pepperoni. We both ordered a Widmer on draft, because PORTLAND. Why order anything else? Pizza was good for a nice cheap slice. Not the best in the land, but A-OK in my book. I’d hit that again. ;)

Four brews on tap. Macrobrew1, Macrobrew2, Macrobrew3, and Ninkasi. Welcome to Oregon, the microbrew capital of… oh, wait… What a waste of an Oregon liquor license! You get 3 free stars just for being a Pizza Schmizza.

Went here tonight and was pleasantly surprised. The food was ok(not bad not fantastic either) but the place was clean, the price fair, and the staff were some of the most friendly people I ever met. I’ll definitely be back.

Wow! Their margherita pizza is crazy good. That said the rest of the place is just meh. I took the last slice from the display and though I’d be good to go but it turns out it sits there kind of cool and has to be warmed up in an oven. Not a fan of that. The service wasn’t great either. Not terrible, just not helpful or friendly. There was a family of clueless tourists who kindly let me go in front of them while they decided but the guy working seemed exasperated with them anyhow. They weren’t busy so it wasn’t really a big deal but it didn’t surprise me when they left and went elsewhere. The place was super dark too. The prices were fine about 3 – 4 for a big slice. I’d come back for the pizza in a hearbeat but I’d take it to go…

Not great, not bad, but decently good pizza. The New York style slices did the trick. I was hungry when I got there and not hungry when I left. Certainly nothing to write home about, but it works when you want a quick bite.

I stopped in for lunch on a Monday at 12:30. My ‘Veggie baby’ slice was put into the oven for 90 seconds, emerging utterly tasteless and not hot. Half-cooked dough base covered by still somewhat frozen(unmelted, cold) cheeze shreds and one cardboard-tasting tomato. Slightly greasy. Worse than meh. Yech. Was hungry for lunch but could not finish it. Very nice counter staff however.

Very tasty pizza at a good price, we stayed across the street at the hilton towers and saw a few locations while we were in town so that seemed very convenient.

sunday afternoon brunch. met up with one of my old college friends there. hadn’t seen him in a long, long time. i thought he just moved to Portland, but it’s been over a couple of years. we’re not good at keeping in touch… anyways, i treated and the slice of cheese i got was pretty good. i would say the first few bites were really good, but then for some reason it didn’t finish very well. and the salad my wife got was again okay at the start, but then didn’t finish very well. i think it would have been a lot better if it had the dressing on the side. it was nice in there b/c it was fairly empty. i think they probably get most of their business during the workweek, but i was glad to have a place like this open for me and my old friend to catch up. i gotta do better about keeping up with old friends as they journey through paths that i won’t be able to take.

This is a review by a vegetarian Meh slice, ridiculously expensive. Something like $ 3.70 for a 1⁄8 of a 16″ plain cheese. I’m not going to visit any of the other locations.
