Louie’s is the best local pizza place, hands down. We go there frequently and enjoy the consistency.

Super nice owner — he really appreciates his customers. Says he is worried about his rent rising and forcing him out as NoPo gentrifies. I certainly hope not. Their regular pizza was so-so, but the small personal pizzas on thin crust for 4 bucks are simply amazing. I hear the calzones are the bomb. I’ll try one next time and update this review.

We decided to get pizza for our lunch break from a seminar. We ordered the marinara tots and a medium chicken pesto pizza. The guy working there was super friendly. The pizza came out in about fifteen minutes. He said he ran out of tater tots and only had half a servings worth left, so he gave us the half serving and gave us our money back them. The pizza was pretty good, but there were too many tomatoes on it. It was also really big for a medium and more than enough for the three of us. The tater tots were crispy and seasoned well.

Just order anything and Louie will craft your order with love. Mini pizza’s, calzones and regular pizzas are great. The cheese tastes so good!

If you don’t know what good Italian food tastes like this is your place. Overcooked spaghetti, cardboard crust pizza, not a single fresh ingredient in the whole place. The meatball in the spaghetti tasted decent so hence the extra star. Don’t put the leaning tower of Pisa on your menu if your food tastes like this. It’s very misleading.

Louie’s may not look like much from the outside but we were so lucky to find it. With rock bottom prices and the biggest calzones I’ve ever seen, this was the spot during my time in college. That’s not to say it isn’t family friendly either. Between the great service and low prices, I’d recommend Louie’s to anyone, broke college student or not.

Omg! What a great find in St. John’s. Came upon Louie’s Pizza while on Lombard. They owner is super friendly and makes a real Italian pie. I had the pesto chicken with the freshest tomatoes. My date had the classic pepperoni… sooo yummy. The girl at the counter(with a Portland Pilots T Shirt btw) was sweet and offered to make the pie half and half. Everything about the place was perfect. If you want a friendly neighborhood pizzeria with tasty pie you won’t be disappointed.

Got some pizza to go from here a couple weeks ago. While I didn’t actually go into the store, reports from my dad and brother who picked up the pizza said the guys working were super nice. We had two pizzas and both were pretty great. I’ll go back for sure!

It’s local, and has a authentic taste. I would highly recommend their Kitchen Sink Pizza, Spaghetti(bested only by my mother) and last but not least, The bread. I cannot stress enough that it’s SO much better than crazy bread, or Olive Garden breadsticks. Louie’s is simple, delicious, and the serving sizes are appropriate based on the price. I do think the owner’s wife could try to be a bit more friendly. The food is worth 22.00 and dealing with a scowl.

Pizza is the bomb. Louie is a great guy and a neighborhood favorite spot for good doughy pizza. Get a meatball sammie on texas toast. You will not regret it.

Super delicious pizza! Louie’s is owned by the same guy that owned Nicola’s(the restaurant that closed down a few blocks away) so if you liked Nicola’s it’s pretty much the same food, just not a full service restaurant. It’s reasonably priced, the owner and other staff are friendly, and it’s truly some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. And they have other options too even pasta! It’s easy to pass this place up when you drive down lombard but it’s definitely worth trying!

The design of the sign and painted windows make this look like a pizza place you might find on the east coast from the 70s(or 80s or 90s or today). That’s a good thing. And this is the real deal NY style pizza. Good cheese and good sauce. I’d say the crust is the weakest link, but I wouldn’t say the pizza is weak. It is good. I’ll be back. Close enough to home to be very dangerous and I’ll bet the other food is good. Not a place to go eat — take out only really(though you can eat there, it isn’t really set up for it).

It’s not one of these fancy wood fired places where they put an egg in the middle of your pizza and top it with arugula and chantrelles. It’s just a standard pizza joint, with the standard cast of characters as toppings. But, ya know what? The crust is really nice and chewy, the sauce is bright and flavorful, the toppings are fresh, and the staff is very friendly. There is something comforting in just a nice regular pizza executed really well. For the price, it’s great. The only thing I wish is that they had chopped up the hot peppers instead of leaving them whole on the pizza, but I won’t dock em a star for that one minor detail. It’s my new go to neighborhood pizza place.

We wanted to try some local food while in town for the weekend. We got the Louie Special which is basically a supreme type pizza. The ingredients were all high quality and I loved the sausage and pepperoni. We got some hot wings were a bit overcooked and tough, the garlic cheese bread was also a bit overcooked and hard. The specialize in pizza obviously and I give that 4 stars, the other foods I would not recommend, The prices are on par for local pizza joints. Staff was friendly and they had nice open kitchen area to see them work when you pick up.

I’ve lived in this area for a year and why, oh why, did it take me so long to try this place out?! I’ve been living under a rock! I get so tired of that chain pizza taste. It’s all the same. Louie’s pizza is delicious. Fresh veggies, plenty of meat, and home-made dough. I have to recommend the pesto pizza! It’s my boyfriend’s and my favorite. I’d say it’s some of the best pizza I’ve had in Portland and even better that it’s a local business that I can support. The staff is extremely friendly and FAST at making their pizzas! You’ve got to try this place out! *** I’d also have to say the pictures on here don’t do the pizza justice.
