This place is about a half hour walk from my home, and when the weather is better, I plan to walk so I can drink several of their lavender-infused vodkas. They have a bunch of infused vodkas, but the lavender makes me super-happy. Also got a ribeye there with blue cheese butter. That was not the best ribeye I’ve had, but it was still pretty good. It was a nice size. The menu said 10 oz., but it seemed like a little more than that. I’m not complaining. There’s tabletop shuffleboard in there and a good menu. Come for the vodka. Stay for the food and games.

I met at this restaurant for a bite with friends before a movie at the theater next door. It took a long time to get service, some errors were made in the orders, server was very unattentive. I was expecting more out of the food as the reviews and reputation of this restaurant make it a local cornerstone. It was odd our servers sat at a table near by to visit with other employees while we could have used a little more attention at our table. I was disappointed with the greasy fried foods and limited menu choices in general, the tap selections were basic, décor was sticky and in much need of updating. I’m not sure why the place apparently has a great rep, we were left puzzled and won’t be going back.

This place is the worst. How it is still in business stumps me. Awful service. They act as if they are gods gift to this world with a bullish arrogant attitude. food is shit. Beer selection is god awful. Smells like piss and shit. Plays terrible music all the time. Lotto crack heads block the entrance. My suggestion is avoid at all costs. Just walk down the street for much better choices.

This is another example of the disappointing dining choices that are available in Sellwood. Please don’t get me wrong the staff is super nice and accommodating, it is the food and prices that really get under my skin. A perfect example is a burger for 13.50. That would be fine if it was a good burger, however it came out a little over done and somehow it was still cold. When I complained about it, The remake took 20 minutes and it was a slow night. The plus side is that they are always open and have super cheap drinks. This is a good place to grab drinks before a movie at the Morleand theater

There’s is nothing quite like being cut off after 3 beers(3PBR’s over 4 hours)… While calmly sitting at a table. After I just brought 8 of my friends to drink and eat at the local dive bar. When asked politely why I wasn’t served, I was simply told… «I don’t have to explain anything to you. Get the f*ck out of here.» Enough said. The feeling is mutual and I will take my business elsewhere. Very sad to say since it was my favorite neighborhood bar.

Great food and awesome staff. Really enjoying the new items on the menu and finally a hummus plate! Top notch. Goes great with a house infused ginger drop. Thanks for being consistently there for me all these years. Love you Limelight!

Nice little place… much better then in the past. Was very impressed with the happy hour menu, and food seemed pretty good(my Cesar salad was way over dressed)…my girlfriend really liked their hamburger though. I would definitely come back… especially considering I wasn’t top fond of this place in the past. They are doing a good job. *had to change to 3 stars, as we sat with empty drinks, and in need of a bpx/check for a good 10+ minutes… too bad.

Love the Limelight! I am biased as a neighborhood local but the proximity coupled with the chill atmosphere, solid service, good food, and great drinks make it a no brainer.

It’s a dive bar. I dig it for late night beers and fried food. Bartenders are good. The restaurant on the other hand kinda sucks. The food is decent. The servers are nice, but completely inattentive and amazingly slow for the number of patrons in the joint. I’m glad it’s in the neighborhood though.

Good happy hour! Nice sunny sidewalk seating. This place is very dog freindly. If my dogs are happy than I am too!

Come here for the stuff drinks and awesome chicken wings. The wings are seriously delicious. Great service and nice artwork. Hipster but not pretentious. I’ll be back for wings and the drink special.

OK, I know how this sounds but I only ever find myself here if Kay’s is super busy. but I really like this place. I don’t go out of my way for it, but I’m not disappointed afterwards. Anyway. My favorite thing to get here is the French Dip. I mean, it’s totally diner fare. And in that context, I will always get the Dip, and it’s always good. Except these guys do it really well, and really consistently. Which is important. Also, they have GREAT daily drink specials. So keep that in mind if you’re out on a Monday and all you need is a $ 2PBR. Grab that + their truffle/parmesean fries. You’re set for life.

This is a decent bar, but the stuck up crowd that hangs out here is rather annoying. Very clicky when you’re there during slow business hours. The atmosphere is modest, prices are reasonable for sellwood. It’s slightly divvy, but to trendy to be reckless and fun. I’ve taken dates here, drank a lot of beer here and been kicked out of here in the last 10 years. I like the place to an extent, but only go to the extent that it has a good location. The place used to be called the intermetso. Try cosmos across the street if you want a real friendly drinking bar.

5 stars for this awesome dive bar who makes really tasty White Russian. The bar was kind of tiny, but there are some tables near the bar. The lighting is good and fun. The bartenders are awesome, and the highlight is the cheap price of their drinks. So awesome! We should all meet and hang out here sometimes :)

Fiiiiiiinally, a breakfast joint that has iced coffee in the summer! I’m so thankful for that! What’s with these places that only have hot coffee in hot weather?! The servers were sweet. The food came out fast but wasn’t anything special … at all.

Perfect Sellwood dive bar, VERY strong drinks! Dark inside, fun, friends. It’s a bit loud in there but that goes along with the environment and my friends and I were still able to sit at a table and chat. Bartenders were nice, we didn’t have any food so I can’t speak to that. I would definitely frequent Limelight if I were a PDX resident again.

The bar is fine, classic dive, and clearly where they make their money– which must float the restaurant. This review is for the restaurant. Nice waitresses and good spot to hit before a movie next door, but don’t expect good food. And please don’t order the ribs. It’s my own fault for trying them here I suppose, but it was calling. The fried artichoke hearts were ok, but isn’t everything deep fried tasty? I’ve tried lunch before, and it was also average. I live nearby and wish they served better food, which shouldn’t be that challenging, considering their prices aren’t low. Most everything is $ 9 – 10, or so. If you’re in a hurry, this will fill you up, but personally, I’d eat somewhere else nearby and come back for drinks after the movie.

We had a good time here. My wife and friends drank a ton. I as the designated drive had one drink early and then water until we left many hours later. We ate dinner. The food was totally acceptable. Most of the drinks were enjoyed. We did get one martini that tasted like someone pissed in it. but all in all a good time was had.

This is a great little dive bar in the West Moreland area. It’s dark, there drinks are cheap and incredibly strong, and the service is pretty good. I’ve been here three times now and two were fairly recent. The first was about 4 years ago and we just stumbled upon it. They had a long island iced tea deal the night we came. I believe it was only $ 4 and strong and delicious. The second time I came was during a very snowy day where my friend and I decided to bar hop midday. This was our last stop, so it’s a bit fuzzy, but I remember the chicken strips and fries being really good. We were there during happy hour and the food menu for HH was right up there! And cheap prices! The third time I came was last Saturday and the waitress never left our drinks empty. It’s a great spot to chill with friends and people watch or have people watch you, depending on how many drinks you have had!

It’s okay. Some people think it’s a destination, but it’s just a competent neighborhood bar. It took a long time to get our drinks(and there were three people working the floor) and one of them was quite possibly the worst old fashioned made in the history of bartending. It’s like they forgot to put a spout in the bitters bottle. Our server did split the check without being asked. So that was pretty cool. That would normally be worth an extra star, but the Long Island Iced Teas in carafes is such a bad idea I’m going to withhold it.
