Great little shop that has been here forever. Tons of cards and nick knacks to shop for. They almost always have Super Large Gag Cards for sale. I like buying them for people on their birthday so everyone can write on them. People really like that sort of thing. It’s nice to know people like you. Great customer service and low price makes this an easy choice.

I go here often throughout the year for little trinkets to give as gifts. They have the cutest things. I probably stop in once a month to get either magnets, calendars, blank packets of «thank you» cards, or wedding gift’s. I have never purchased anything for Christmas because my household is full of grinches so I can’t really comment on that. It seems like they always have decorations for each holiday, which is good for someone who decorates. They have decent hours and ample parking.

I love Christmas just as much as the next grinch, but when it comes to adorning the tree, I like things plain-‘n’-simple. That means plain metallic balls(blue and mirrorlike silver, preferably), white lights, and maybe an icicle or a candy cane thrown in for good measure. But some people like to have weird crap on their trees. Enter Hallmark. And granted, all throughout my childhood I thought this stuff was the shit, but now I see it as pretty tacky. They have lots of acrylic or plastic ornaments that make noises or have blinking lights. Lots of Barbie collectibles, convertible cars, and Star Trek figurines. I don’t like this stuff on trees. But if you do, you can find an okay selection of them here at Jill’s(well, before Thanksgiving, when they’ll surely be sold out). They also have an adequate selection of too-expensive cards. But we all know that if it has the Gold Crown seal on it, you obviously care. Not a huge selection of cards, but then again, I’m kind of picky and avoid the tack and go right for the cute. Other oddities include glittery candles, porcelain penguins, and angel sculptures. You can also get helium balloons here. But just for the record, they have a Moonstruck Chocolates sticker on the door, and I have yet to find any. Boo! Give a girl some chocolate, now. Damn! Oh, $ 5 minimum for the plastic, so if you need to get only one card, make sure you have cash or get something extra gaudy to up the price.
