It’s 3:37pm. Sign says closed. Boo! If you’re going to have specific hours posted best practice is to be open during those hours. I’m bummed I drove halfway across town.

Delighted! Bought a pair of gorgeous heels and two lovely skirts. Shoes were $ 40, stuart weitzman, excellent condition! Skirts were each $ 14. Reasonable thrift store prices for great quality. Come and shop!

I am always thrilled when a new vintage clothing shop opens up! And this one is right around the corner from where I live! Owners Bridget and Peter are such nice people, and always chat it up(in a good way! They are never pushy!). The shop is full of awesome goodies including 1940s dress all the way up to 1980s concert t-shirts — all at really reasonable prices! The place is always clean, and well stocked with fresh merch rolling in every few weeks or so. And did I mention this joint has a pinball machine? Yeah. Awesome.

I’ll keep this short. HOLLYWOODBABYLONRULES. Its a hidden gem of the otherwise mediocre Hollywood District. They have a impressive selection of vintage clothes for men and women, with prices that cannot be beat. Its clean and well organized and friendly. They also have some unique items like hand-tailored rock shirts for the ladies and suitcase stereos(!!!). And if that doesn’t sell you, there is a PINBALLTABLE in the store. So next time you’re at Wholefoods eating the overpriced salad bar, save some money for Hollywood Babylon.

I discovered Hollywood Babylon last year and every time I walk in there I find amazing gems at great prices. They put new stuff out all the time and the selection is well edited. A highlight would definitely be the t-shirt dresses that they reconstruct from vintage tees. The owners are always fun to chat with and they also host instore live music and entertainment from time to time.
