Amazing brew choice from the best Brewers around. These guys really know what they are doing. It’s amazing choices with a twist making for a unique and easily drinkable beer choices. One of my favorite breweries around.

It’s ok but I really liked the Mash Ton better. The beers are good but, not many to chose from for a «brew pub». The menu is small and not many choices that I liked. The sandwich was ok but my fries were over done and super hard. Also no wait staff and slow service. Had to go up to the bar to order my food and drinks.

Pleasantly surprised with this place. Not a lot of beers, but the ones I had were pretty darn drinkable. Generally impressed with the hopped beers, but really liked the Zest Berliner Weisse.
The push from 3 to 4 stars came from the food. I didn’t eat, but sat and drooled at the plates my 3 friends received. I’ll go back just to eat. Lots of veggie/​vegan options, too.
Nothing too fancy, the tables are park benches, but overall a decent place to grab a drink and a bite.

Wow! Great Notion is off to a fantastic start! Awesome beer and delicious food! We especially enjoyed the fresh cut waffle fries as well as the crunchy vegetarian tacos. It’s great to see a new, successful brewery on Alberta Street!

My friends and I went there to test the beer after hearing about their opening. Wow… their beers (only three now) were all amazingly good! The service was great and we loved the environment. Can’t wait to taste more new beers.

Probably my new favorite brewery. The bartender was so great and helpful. The beer was delicious. Just take a quick peak and see for yourself.

Amazing IPA I’m not used to seeing in the Pacific Northwest and from what I’m told, an amazing array of brews to come. Can’t wait to try the sours. Plus, fresh cut waffle fries!

Liked it better when it was the Mash Tun (much cheaper), but the current menu (assuming they haven’t drastically changed it) and beer list are simply outstanding. Looking forward to weekly visits this year!

New menu and tap list, cocktails and chalkboard table tops! The veggie burger (with fried plantain and jicama slaw) was one of the best I have found in Portland. House salad dressing is delicious and the kid menu has lots of options other than nutritionless crap with cheese. The charming light fixtures and great patio are still in place and the service I recieved was tops.
Great Notion is a solid upgrade.

This place is in the old Mash Tun spot. They have their signs up and it seems like a new menu. Beer started brewing and will be ready in January I think. They will have an official opening in 2016.
Cozy space and awesome patio. Dart board has lots of space.
I’m looking forward to trying their own brew soon!
