Here were the steps I took to try to get a quote on a granite countertop: Call 1: Told by the person(Michael) to measure the space, draw a diagram for what I want, and email him the dimensions, diagram, and material of choice(after selecting the material they have on their website.) Call 2: Michael calling back to apologize about his unprofessional call and to get my contact information. Email: dimensions, material type Call 3: A lady(Rachel?) called to ask more specifics regarding different material options as the ones on their website were inaccurate. Also wanted to know where I lived, how much overhang for the countertop, what kind of back splash, where the sink was going to be, and what kind of edging I wanted. At this point, I wanted to know if I was going to get a quote. She told me someone else would call me as she didn’t do that. I told her that I did not know what these decisions meant in terms of pricing, timing, or if it was even a good idea with the material I chose! I shared that for all other services in my bathroom remodel, someone came out to see the space, talk with me to give me information, and later give me a quote. She told me we weren’t a good fit and ended the phone call. If you want someone to come and give you an estimate with minimal hassle, go elsewhere!
