A screw snapped off in my motorcycle head, and I was convinced it was going to need drilling and rethreading at a machine shop. I called Ron and he said he could easily fix it (on a Saturday morning no less). He welded a bead on the screw and pulled it out with no damage to the bike, saving me hundreds of dollars in repairs. Really nice guy, fast efficient service.

Curtis helped us with a copper garden fountain that needed repair. He was easy to contact and got on the job right away. As the metal was a soft metal, he needed to be extra careful and come up with soldering, not welding, that would not damage the delicate coop[er art work.
And he did. His charge for his work was very reasonable too. Back we go to Curtis if we have any further need for his services!

I guess I should have read the reviews before I went. Some are good and some are not. My experience was puzzling to say the least. I called Curtis to do a repair on a BBQ grill part that needed about 5 – 6 welds. He got me in on a Friday night which was the start of the Memorial Day Weekend. He was quick and efficient. However, I now have the part home and it looks like the welds didn’t take on all the areas. I’ll see how it works out and update if it fails. My bad for not asking how much he charged. I figured it would be 15 to 20 dollars. He stated it was $ 40. The look on my face must have been priceless because after he took my money he wanted to show me his garden. Which I must state is impressive. Fair pricing is always good and would have got this craftsman a few more stars. Disappointed in his pricing. And, yes, he wants cash.

Needed a simple repair on a bed frame. I called this morning and he was able to fix this the same day. I honestly say, Ron was was one of the most interesting people I have met in years. He is well equipped to fix nearly anything!

20 years ago I made a keychain for my dad. It’s copper on top of brass, with the copper spelling out «DAD». Last week my dad called me to let me know my brother broke the keychain. Actually, it could have been anyone as the keychain whole had worn so thin over time.
My dad was very upset about this, so I found Ron who was able to weld the key whole closed. He is friendly quick, and if you ask nice he will show you his organic garden.
I picked up some sand paper and smoothed and shined that keychain back to life!
I will use Ron again.

Ron Curtis is one of the nicest guy’s around. Called him on a Saturday and asked him his availability and he replied ‘how about right now.’ He did a great job and was very reasonably priced. This is my new welder for sure. Then after he was finished he walked me out to my car and saw my wife was waiting for me and invited us to his back yard to show us his massive garden and chickens. Great people!

We want to break more things so he can fix them for us.
Had a last-​minute/​after hours job (on a Friday!) that we needed done that night, and Ron did it in a jiffy like it was no inconvenience at all to drop what he was doing for us. Definitely a skilled tradesman, and so friendly. Was all about showing us what he was doing, and sharing his knowledge. We know zero about welding, so it was an educational delight!
His shop is a bit farther out in SE, but we’d pass towns to come back to him, so was no inconvenience at all.

We have a modern dining table of powder-​coated steel and glass that needed repairs. I made an appointment and brought the parts to Ron that very afternoon. He welded the damaged joints and restored our dining table to its original stability WITHIN MINUTES. We are all VERY HAPPY with his work and wholeheartedly recommend him. If you are looking for more info on Curtis Custom Welding, I found their excellent web site very helpful…

This guy is *good* and highly recommend him. I had a kind of fiddly custom frame for a vacuum former I’m building that I had cut all the pieces for but needed welded. He welcomed me into his shop, let me explain what I wanted done, handed me a welding mask and let me watch him work. He had my frame knocked together perfectly in no time and charged me a very reasonable price.
Make no mistake, this guy is a pro. If you need something welded, this is your man.

Mr. Curtis did a great job welding the hinges in my circa 1917 Stove. He welded metal that two other welders said was «un weldable» the hinges have held up since the repair and he lined up the broken halves perfectly– and he was super reasonable about the price too. I would def. use his services again and reccomend him to others.

I asked this guy to modify a hitch for me and he could not weld it in a straight line, could not drill the hole for the pin right and grind-​ed down my part without my permission that I gave him to fit the hitch to because he could not make it fit. To top it of I still had to pay him to get my messed up parts back, then I took to a place where they knew what they were doing and they actually cut apart his work, did it the right way and still charged me less than what I had to pay this no good useless guy.

This past week we paid our normal dealer to have the boat «winterized for the year,» and were shocked to learn they found the «old» metal flapper valves (that we had paid Ron to replace) floating around the lower unit.
The new valves Ron installed were still functional and in good shape, but he apparently left the old ones in the lower unit — where they were rubbing up against the gears. Fortunately, they had not yet been shredded small enough to enter the main gearbox, although you can see the scour marks in the picture I uploaded.
Again, let me state that Ron is a fantastic aluminum welder, however, he SHOULD NOT be categorizing himself as a boat-​repair operation.
Had we not caught this mistake until later, we would have been out thousands of dollars in additional repairs!
