Pretty awesome place. Good organic comfort breakfast. Everything I like with a yummy unique twist that made me want more than one dish but I could only choose one. Lil red house converted into a super cute restaurant with six or seven tables. Outside seating available. Fun atmosphere with local artist décor. Super happy found this place wish it was closer because i would be a weekly regular.

Went there on a Saturday morning. The place opens at 8am and since we didn’t arrive until 9a, I expected a long wait. Maybe it was the rain that morning but there was only another couple in there joining us. We walked in and the friendly staff put a few tables together(there were 4 of us adults and 3 kids) and immediately sat down. We didn’t even have time to play ping pong before we sat down! :) We made up for it after breakfast! On to the food. They had a pretty good selection. I had the bacon tacos(bacon, eggs, cilantro ans probably some other stuff). They were decent but missing something, not quite sure what. After a little salt and hot sauce, we were in business! The rest of the group had different scrambled eggs plates and hash browns(red breakfast potatoes). The potatoes were great! Others have commented on the amazing cinnamon swirled french toast which we also had to sample. I have to admit, it was pretty delicious! Since I don’t live in the area, I’m not sure if I would go back since there are many other places to try out. For us it was OK, but not amazing. Maybe our expectations were set high because of all the great reviews?

Closed!!! I am beyond sad. I wanted to bring my parents here when they visit in May. Bumblekiss, you were my first brunch experience in Portland, as I live in the neighborhood. I loved your molasses pancake syrup over those blue corn pancakes. The I Heart French Toast was always amazing. And your scrambles were always very good. RIP.

They’ve closed! What a shame! This has been our favorite breakfast spot in Portland since we moved here.

I really enjoyed eating at this quaint little breakfast spot. I almost felt like I was sitting in my grandmom’s kitchen as the seating area is about the size of an average dining room. The menu was full of great options for around $ 10, and well worth it. I got the chicken in a blanket which was apple chicken sausage wrapped in pancakes and a side of scrambled eggs, cheese, and bacon. Yum! The service was friendly, the ambiance was light and airy with a touch of Portland whimsy, great place for breakfast with a friend or to take an out-of-towner. There is street parking aplenty as this place borders a neighborhood with plenty of free parking. I would definitely come back here again.

So it’s Black Friday 2014 and everyone is jam packed into the malls and big box stores across Portland. Where am I? Not anywhere near it. That’s what shopping online is for. Much less hassle. The evening before, Thanksgiving, some new friends mentioned Bumblekiss as a great breakfast spot. I had to think where it was. Bumblekiss is a hidden spot just off Fremont in the Beaumont-Wilshire area of town and unless you know it’s there, you don’t know it’s there. There is a placard on the corner but you’ll find it if you really want to. It was raining, of course, and a couple had just walked out so I was it for the moment. The woman serving was like your mom. Welcoming and friendly. The menu had quite a few great items on it and some pretty good homemade biscuits. The only low point was my hot chocolate. It was small and mostly made with water and not milk. There was some great pancakes, corncakes, and egg scrambles. That is what I chose and it was a lot of food and I couldn’t finish it all. I ordered the Buddy Scramble with bacon, sautéed onions, Havarti, and kale.(I switched out the kale for spinach.) It came with potatoes and choice of bread. Grand Central bread, English muffin or biscuit. The biscuit seems like a good choice. The food was great, the place soon filled up with more customers and I was stuffed. $ 2.50 for the hot chocolate and $ 9.75 for the meal. About average for here but the hot chocolate needed more too it. I will return and hopefully soon. Enjoy.

Small little place here but they were super friendly. I got the pear oatmeal and it was delicious. I also got an egg white scramble and it was just okay. Little tasteless, but decent. They have outdoor seating as well. I’d go back again to try some more things on the menu if I were ever back in the area.

We were told we had a 30 minute wait. We waited 45 minutes, walked inside to have a server tell us ‘you’re up next! It’s just a matter of clearing tables.’ 15 minutes later, we were worried they forgot about us. Turns out they did. Then there was a long wait for the food. We ended up eating breakfast at 1:30, even though we got there at 11:30. Food was good though.

I really like Bumblekiss for their fresh and clean ingredients. The menu’s fairly simple, but the food is just perfect. I think I like it because it reminds me so much of the food I love to make at home, but someone else is making it for me and it’s such a treat. I’ve eaten both breakfast and lunch items and was very happy with both sides of the spectrum. They’re breakfast potatoes are delicious, but not greasy at all. I highly recommend their soups. I’ve never been the biggest fan of cream of mushroom soup, however Bumblekiss’s changed that entirely for me – it’s truly incredible! The service is good, every time I’ve gone there’s only one server and she’s typically working her ass off so I give her a break.

With a name like Bumblekiss how are you going to go wrong! The name give you a preview on the homey and comfortable feel you should have when going out to brunch. Every employee was beyond considerate and sweet to myself, my mother and grandmother. There are many vegan options in regards to their scrambles. Tofu options and gluten free bread(udi’s brand) available on request. Their vegetables and fruit were fresh. Their jam was delicious. It was also an alcohol free establishment. LOVEDIT! I loved everything about this place. They did brunch just right.

This is just a nice casual place with plenty of seating inside and out for a small place. Always cheery waiters. Nice selection of breakfast options. But get here a bit early cause it’s popular or you’ll get stuck waiting behind a big group’s order. The waitresses were kind enough to tell me to order quickly so I won’t have to wait behind a group order. It’s great they can accommodate groups and family’s. I highly recommend this place for the delicious food and a nice, bright, feel-good atmosphere.

My favorite spot for brunch with Butters! Nice outdoor seating outside for dog lovers. They even provide water bowls for the dogs. The food is fantastic. My favorite is there their Benedict’s. Definitely coming back to try out their other dishes.

Got the Kayla– really flavorful and I loved that it felt healthier than other brunches because it was so much fresh kale. Even the potatoes were a healthier variety– some purples, etc. Fresh & yummy– and with poached eggs– which I dont usually eat but they were perfect! The english muffin was perfect and didn’t make it too carby as it was mostly kale. Got a side of the cinnamon french toast– bonus points for the cardamom infused syrup!(much preferable over maple). You can get coffee while you wait too, which is a favorite option for me at brunch places in Portland. Glad I tried somewhere new!

Despite one of those notorious Sunday brunch crowds outside, the staff powered through the wait list(without rushing anyone currently seated) and had me seated for brunch within 10 – 15 minutes. They have a simple but inviting menu of scrambles and other breakfast plates, with no plate more than $ 10. I had a full scramble breakfast and coffee for less than $ 12+tip. The staff were all super chill and super nice, even with things as busy as they were. The food wasn’t orgasmic or anything too far out of the ordinary, and yeah it’s never great to have to wait for a seat, but I did really enjoy it and liked the experience enough to know where I’m going for brunch next time I’m in town.

This is a cute little brunch spot, although it was a little too quiet when we walked in so I’m glad a cook eventually turned on some soul tunes. Had delicious coconut/blueberry pancakes that were really big + scrambled eggs, took the 2nd cake one home for the next day. The BF had steak and eggs and really liked it. I had a bite of his skillet potatoes and they were seasoned really well, actually quite delicious. And the biscuit they gave him? SO good. I’m a huge fan of biscuits(duh, my fans will vouch) and homemade jam, we had strawberry but I heard her mention fig something, which ran out before we could order it. Décor was pleasant, and bright inside. There is a great outdoor patio that was slammed. I wouldn’t say it was anything ABOVEANDBEYOND other proper brunch spots in P-Town, but it could be thrown in the rotation. No alcohol, but good juices & iced tea.

I love this place for brunch. I ordered the steak and eggs and it was very good and inexpensive. Great place for kids as well and the service was impeccable. Will definently be back in the future.

I have eaten at Bumblekiss twice, once for lunch and once for breakfast. Both times, it was a great experience. Service: Both times I had great service. The staff is friendly and efficient and, actually, fun. They enjoyed the fact that my 25-yr-old son loved the books, etc for kids waiting! Food: Loved the Benedicts. The pancakes were also really tasty. For lunch, I’d had a veggie sandwich that had really good fresh ingredients and an interesting sauce/mayo. Atmosphere: The place is small, but they have a heated, covered outdoor space. They always seem to be busy, so they have a following. They move people through without making one feel as though they are in the way when they finish their meal.

Good solid breakfast at a decent price. No wonder they were busy! The four of us had breakfast here and lucked out to be early enough to get a 4-top without waiting. The menu is reasonably extensive and the offerings all sound pretty tasty. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of frill just for the sake of it. I had no idea where my bacon came from or what the pig’s name was. The pancake syrup might have been Aunt Jemima for all I know. But the food was good and well cooked; aka soft scrambled eggs and crispy pancakes. The coffee was solidand I never had to ask for a refill. As has been noted in other reviews, the service is timely and communicative; you don’t sit wondering if they’ll come back with water, they tell you. The only real down side to the joint for me were the tables and chairs. Our table was a bit wobbly and small, which is tough with two kids and two coffees. The server and I tried to fix it, but never quite got it stable. And the chairs are higher quality plastic chairs but they don’t slide easily. So letting people out to use the restroom was a bit more challenging than usual with the table and chair combo. There seems to be more outdoor seating than in, so if the day is lovely, you’ll have a better chance of sitting quickly. If it’s rainy and 9AM, be prepared to wait a while. The interior is small-ish.

Small and charming place for some scrumptious breakfast. After IHOP, this place is like gold! Due to small size, tables inside are limited so you might have to settle for outside seating. Food is excellent. I decide to go the healthy route and had the oatmeal with pear and brown sugar. Instead of brown sugar, I ask for honey which they happily oblige. Oatmeal is oatmeal but the addition of cubes of pear and honey make it somewhat of a comfort breakfast. Breakfast partner had the Pope Benedict which had thick sliced ham, spinach, poached eggs with hollandaise on English muffin served with a side of fruit. The Hollandaise is nice and rich but not overwhelming. Perfect complement to the eggs, ham and muffin. Coffee was also good which isn’t the case at many breakfast places. I guess this is Portland so they take their coffees seriously. Will visit again if I’m ever in Portland again.
