One chilly Saturday morning, I was taking my daughter to an appointment to get her hair braided. The following Monday was her first day at fancy-​schmancy ballet academy that demanded buns in every ballerinas head. So imagine my dread when the braider texted me when I was 10 minutes away from her house saying she had to leave and couldn’t braid my daughters hair.
I pulled into a Walgreens parking lot and began texting everybody in my phone looking for a braider. I was just about to hit full on panic when a woman getting out of her car told me I looked like her cousin NaeNae. I asked her if NaeNae could braid. She said no, but gave me Devitas number. I called her, fully expecting her to tell me no since it was a Saturday, but she asked me what style I wanted and said that if I could get there fast she would do it. I flipped a u-​turn and as I started to head east on Division, I saw a huge billboard that said «It Was God»…and it sure was.
Devita has started braiding by younger daughter and maintaining my husbands dreads and we have never been happier. Devita is dependable, talented, and very fast at what she does. She has taken my daughters’ hair from brittle, dried out, and terribly painful to work with to soft and manageable. She has taught me so much about how to care for their hair, and I (not to mention them) will be forever indebted to her.
And let me not forget, this woman is honest. I took my family in on March 14^th to get their hair done and was in a rush to leave so I over paid her by $ 65 and didn’t even realize it. She called me as soon as she realized it and I got my money back. I was already loyal to a fault because of the great service she provides, but this took it to a whole new level. I highly recommend Devita and Twice the Texture… integrity and service like this is rare.

Iman has been doing my hair for about 4 plus years. Many of us have dubbed her the growing queen. She does wonders with my head from color to relaxing and general maintenance!
