GO SEE KASEY. He did an OUTSTANDING job on my hair. I came in looking for a nice under buzz, and a lot of crazy layers.
*also I have VERY VERY THICK LONG hair*
I was so nervous but, He took his time with my hair and made me feel like a human being, had a very great conversation, and kept checking in with me. The ladies at the front were super friendly too. Thank you B crew, I will only be coming here from now on. Thank you thank you!

Brit and Mini are both two of my favorites, all tho there are many and would trust any of them with my families hair. Always great service, great prices and do amazing work. Def a go to when I’m in the neighborhood and my girls are at work! Plus you get beer, come on!

I’d visited bishops on and off for about a year after moving to Portland, the haircuts were always decent and affordable, but it wasn’t until meeting Jamie at the pearl bishops that I made it my go-​to spot for a haircut. Before moving to Portland I’d always used relaxers to control my curly hair, Jamie convinced me to drop the relaxers and has been cutting my hair ever since! Thanks Jamie!

When I’m not avoiding hair salons I’m usually leaving them in tears, but not this time! Bree Ritter gave me the best haircut of my life! And that’s saying A LOT. I have a crazy, curly mess of a head and no one ever knows how to cut it! In my 26 years on this planet I’ve never liked how my hair looked, until now! Not only did she give me a great cut but great conversation! She’s the most vivacious, fun, warm-​hearted and talented lady I’ve ever met! She’s easy on the eyes too, if you know what I mean :) I give Bree a 10⁄10 and would recommend her to everyone!

This place is great! Tommy Hartman is who I see everytime. Its nice sitting with a stylist that actually can hold a conversation. Nothing worse than sitting there for 30 min while no one says anything. Also a great hair cut, and i get compliments everytime. Great place in general!

This review is specifically for Tommy Hartman. Tommy was great! I really appreciated how he LISTENED to me and actually cut my hair the way I wanted. We had a great conversation, but not at the expense of him doing a good job. I grew my hair out for many months after a previous bad haircut from someone else, and I didn’t want him to cut it too short. My hair looks great — no need to wait for it to grow in to look good. He’ll definitely be my new go to guy.

I have been coming to Bishops for several years, ever since I was lucky enough to find Isaiah. He is absolutely amazing and has always done an incredible job with my hair style and color. All of the Bishops staff are always incredibly friendly and welcoming, they make a person feel like a part of a fun family. I am absolutely thankful that I was able to find a place that understands exactly what type of hair style and color I want and gets it right every time.

I have longer hair for a guy and it’s difficult to keep it looking sharp for my bank job. I checked out bishop’s based on the reviews and it was a good call. Adam listened to me about what I wanted and totally cleaned me up without losing much of my length. She also did a great job on my beard.
Price is higher than I’d like, but…
The atmosphere is open and airy with lots of natural light coming in from the skylights in the ~30′ high ceilings. That coupled with good music, cool art on the walls, and the COMPLIMENTARY BEER, made the short wait totally relaxing. There are closer barbers to where I live, but I think I’ll keep making the trek to bishop’s in the pearl for the atmosphere and Adam’s talents.

Hannah is the best I don’t like people touching me really and I’m especially sensi about my hair but it’s ok 4 Hannah to cut my curls she listens carefully to my indirect instructions and always gives me a trim that makes me look gd in front of the other puppies!!!

My haircut doesn’t look terrible, but the guy bizarrely clipped my eyebrows without asking first. He put his comb through one of them and all of a sudden *ziiip*, then before I got over the surprise he was on to the other one. Now they look really weird, and I’m pretty upset.
I’m not sure why he defaulted to «every guy wants his eyebrows clipped,» but if you go in and you want the same eyebrows you came in with, be sure to tell your stylist.

What’s not to like? No appt needed (works great for me), skilled stylists (Terrific Terresa and Incredible Isaiah), casual and hip atmosphere, and a free beer (so I guess I do like an occasional Sessions now and then). Terresa has done a wonder transforming me: from a hairdo like a bad 80s video, to the chic of a J-​Law pixie (tons of compliments!!). Isaiah did a great job giving my 10 year-​old daughter some lovely highlights (oh, how the young like to experiment!). Don’t be misled“barbershop” in the name; they’re definitely a salon and very professional. Try them out — you won’t be disappointed.

Buzz cut by Wendy just the way I like it. Nice and tight, about 1⁄8 of an inch short, sideburns even and straight line in the back. I don’t have many hairs but I like it a certain way and Wendy made my hair day, except for too many extraneous neck hairs (no big deal) I trimmed at home (my fault, should of had her show me my neck in the mirror) – next time, I’ll be back! Nice shop. Use your Unilocal check in for $ 3 off. My cut was $ 9.
