We bought a home in unincorp Wash. Cty(Hillsboro-Beaverton-Aloha) in March 2011 and got busy landscaping a truly horrendous front yard. I «accidentally» happened on Bethany Nursery shortly after our move when my son started taking classes at PCC-Rock Creek. What an amazing, incredible, blessing this nursery has been! I bought 3 of my 5 roses at Bethany last year. The two I bought at Cornell Farms have totally failed. These three are glorious! EVERYTHING I have bought that adorns the front yard has been at Bethany. These ladies(particularly«Terry») really know their stuff. They know what grows where, they troubleshoot problems I can’t solve using the internet; heck, I left there 6 weeks ago with a set of Walla Walla onions for free because they needed to be planted and a few looked spindly! They have suggested flowers and shrubs that you can’t get at Home Depot, etc. and which you rarely see in other people’s yards — my front yard this year is tasteful and abundant and utterly stunning! I bought my vegetable garden starts from them — when I had trouble and described it to them, I got advice that worked. I now have a totally organic garden, mostly free of pests and totally free of disease. The prices can’t be beat. If you’ve never been here, you’re missing out on the best kept secret I’ve ever known! Go to Bethany Nursery — you will NOT be sorry!

A diamond in the ruff can be found at Bethany Nursery. I purchased a Japanese Maple for $ 9 that normally costs $ 30 at other nurseries. There is a good selection of plants but the real jewels are the discounted plants. The staff is friendly and helpful. If one lives near Bethany then this is the nursery to hit before wandering out to others.
