Nice people! Good food. I got the Indonesian egg scramble. Not too spicy & it has a sweetness to it. Unusual flavor. Worth trying. Unlimited coffee. Some really lovely vanilla sweetener. Ice cold cucumber mint water. Did i mention how nice these people are? They just gave me a shot of the kale super smoothie. Yum! I’m coming back for a big one

The break fast sandwich was delicious. The owner was sweet and explained that the food is always fresh ingredients and healthy. Not too expensive. Didn’t try the coffee but I would be down to come again and try.

Great coffee, wonderful atmosphere, and excellent staff. So very Portland. Kid friendly, but if you have a stroller you’ll need a friend to manage the stairs(or order while you are on the patio).

Spectacular experience here. Can I give a place six stars? Good food, great espresso, and the best service I’ve ever had in a café — all in a quirky little spot with charming patrons and staff!

Best almond latter I have ever had. Master milk steaming, not to mention the fresh salmon berries we had with breakfast!

Quick, simple review for a quick and simple coffee spot in NW Portland. Had a simple $ 5.50 breakfast of eggs, toast and coffee — with a to go coffee to boot. Tasty and served with a smile and a story. Learned its the oldest coffee shop in Portland… great people here. Highly recommend.

Amazing folks working there! I loved the quality of service and the personal interaction. I felt very welcome for being there the first time. And, of course, the food and coffee was phenomenal!

Fantastic little café, the oldest in Portland. Friendly owners, chill environment and tasty food. Don’t think about it just come and enjoy. I came to Portland for work and stayed at a nearby hotel but with Anna’s Bananas I feel like I’m at home. Owners are super friendly, Johnny Cash on the radio with tasty food and drink to boot. I’m sure they had wifi but I spent my time chatting with friendly folks about places to walk to in Portland. Highly recommended!

Just finished breakfast, I love Anna’s. A small business who supports other local small businesses. Farm fresh produce farm to table. Great customer service and affordable prices. I eat here every week sometimes multiple times a week.

Nice small little breakfast place. The host was really friendly. He suggested the banana pecan affogato and it was indeed good. Try their specials.

Several coworkers suggested Anna Banannas for an afternoon work time out. Walking in you’re greeted by a cheerful comfortable setting. Cushions on chairs, couch, small but ample tables. Bright art on the walls and the music was cheerful and quality for any age. The barista this afternoon was one of the owners. Wow! Early to mid 50s, tall, handsome, witty and caring for what the customer wanted. I ordered a mocha. His response was for my wants… «Real chocolaty, medium or light?» I cannot remember a coffee house who asked how I wanted my drink and had my preferences as their priority! Everything at Annas is targeted to the customer being spoiled and pampered. Unlimited refills on drip coffees, a very tasty cucumber infused ice water on your table, and a larger menu for a coffee café(the food which my coworkers rave about). Clean comfortable, and definitely not the usual«take the money and run» attitude every other coffee place has.

This place is a little gem in the NW. It’s nothing fancy but the coffee is good and the staff is friendly and genuine. There is a lot of development in this area and sometimes it feels like the culture is being drained right out of the soil by orange helmed construction workers. If you’re looking for a little bohemian retreat amidst the newness, you may find Anna’s refreshing.

I cannot emphasize how awesome this place is. I used to live in North Portland and regularly patronized the location on N Lombard while it was in operation. When I moved several years ago to NW Portland, I was able to find plenty of good coffee but very few spots to comfortably sit and work while enjoying it. This place has both! The food is incredible and made with love, the coffee is Café D’Arte which is excellent! The owners are very friendly, attentive, and engaging! The atmosphere is comfortable. There’s really nothing Bad I can say about it. I mean the décor is a bit ecclectic but to me that is more charming than off-putting. The owners are apparently new and if thats the case they have done a great job making this place a great place to relax and sit a spell. HIGHLY recommend to anyone who usually works from home and is just looking for a comfortable place to get out for a while and still do work!

What a wonderful neighborhood find!!! We tried to go to a really popular brunch place around the corner only to be told there was a one-hour wait… well we just wandered over to Anna bannanas and it was a delight. The owner(I believe) sat with us, chatted, made us ridiculously delicious coffees and we felt totally at home. So sweet, delicious food, amazing coffee, very very homey and relaxed.

I came here in the morning for some tea. This is by far the best coffee shop I’ve ever been in terms of making me feel right at home. Super laid back cute coffee shop with amazing(and beyond!) service that will make you feel right at home. I had some tea while I did some work, and then chatted a little with the barista. He offered an AMAZING sample of the kale smoothie, and a sample of their PB cookie. Let me tell you, I am definitely coming back for that smoothie before I leave town. They serve really good food and brunch specials. The PB cookie was crunchy with a soft center, and great in flavor. If you are looking for a cute little spot, with nice as you go locals serving you and really yummy food and drinks, well this is your place! Probably the highlight of my trip so far… Just wish this shop would be in my neighborhood!

Oh Anna’s…though you’ve changed a bit over the years, you’re still the delightfully shabby coffee house(literally, it used to be a residence.)I fell in love with a decade ago(albeit with a couple of significant changes). The coffee here is outstanding. If they have not run out, get the velletri or the alderwood roast. I’d argue that they rival any of the finer coffees in the world, and they’re served in a very mellow, welcoming space. There are a few things I miss, namely their formerly late hours(man, that was a while back, right?), the ability to smoke in their basement(bloody nanny statists), and Ike, the greatest barista in Portland. No joke, the man had a passion for coffee that bordered on obsession. Oh well. Everything changes, especially in Portland.

Really awesome, relaxed atmosphere tucked onto 21st Avenue. The chill vibe has customers flowing through even though there are four coffee shops on the block. This place had the greatest Mocha I’ve ever had — the blackberry Mocha Berry Mocha was amazing, and Anna Bannanas also has Gabriel’s Bagels(definilely grab one of these instead of the wrapped muffins and scones, they’re not that fresh). Everyone talks about the crazy couches — truths. They have tuffets and shell-shaped armchairs and a purple chaise.
