The starter cord had ripped off my lawnmower. Both myself and two of my housemates had all tried for weeks to fix it ourselves– to no avail. We called in and I brought our lawnmower out the same day. While I was untying it from my pickup bed, Aaron walked out to greet me. Without my asking, he voluntarily helped unload the mower to the ground. He was extremely personable, made sure I could see everything he was doing and showed me how to fix it myself.
When it was all done, the price he had charged was a fraction of the cost what anywhere else would have cost. Completely transparent, the best value in Portland, Aaron has the brick and mortar experience to back up his own business. He even volunteered to help me load it back into my truck.
If I ever have problems with my mower again, I am taking it back to this guy!

I have brought 2 broken lawn mowers to this small engine magician, and have not been disappointed!!! Aaron repaired both of my mowers for in 2 days for a very decent price. If you are looking for a small engines tech this is your guy!!!

Aaron used to work for Al’s mower’s on SE 89th and Division so we have known him for years. Once Al passed away and the business closed we had to find a new service provider. We were thrilled that we found Aaron had opened his own business. He’s a very hard worker who takes pride in his business. Prices are good, very efficient and works on multiple types of small engine equipment. My husband and I plan on being customers of his for years to come.

Aaron’s Honest Engine is great, I have a lawnmower thats only a couple of years old which a short while ago wouldent start no matter how many times i tried. So I took my lawnmower to Aarons shop, got it back in a short peroid of time, and it ran like it was brand new again which it dident before it stopped starting, I plan on bringing any of my lawn equipment that needs fixing to Aaron’s Honest Engine from now on thanks again Aaron.

My husband ran over a piece of re-​bar while mowing the lawn. Called Aaron up and dropped the mower off on a Saturday. It needed a new blade, crankshaft, and oil change. The total cost was $ 95 and we picked it up on Thursday. Lawnmower runs as good as new.
Great mom and pop type service. Good prices and quick turn around. We’ll be giving all of our small engine business to Aaron and will tell others about him. I wish I could give 10 stars. Enough said.
