Davey Jones Ice Cream Locker

I ordered a cherry snow cone and loved it. I am still dreaming of it! I can’t wait to go back and get another one. ($ 3) the staff was very friendly.
This is the best place for snacks!!!

If you want to get some good ice cream right before leaving the South Padre, a stop at Davey Jones Ice Cream Locker is a must. This locally owned ice cream shop is located right across from the South Padre Lighthouse. They offer a variety of ice cream flavors, milk shakes, floats, shaved ice/​raspas, cookies and candy. If its your first time at this place, don’t worry, the place has good service, so the guys will tell you which flavors are the most popular ones. This place is right by the bay, its perfect to go walk by the deck area while you eat your ice cream or if you want to sit by the lighthouse, you can do that as well. Parking is good because there is a big parking lot in front of the ice cream place for the bazar and restaurants around the area.

Fun little ice cream shop with great service. Good variety of flavors, was a little sad it wasn’t homemade, but it was still good. Also had a great little selection of fudge to enjoy. Overall would come back again. Don’t forget to see the tropical birds they have outside too!

The ice cream is so smooth and creamy, and the fudge is to die for. Gwen the owner is a down to earth delight. I highly recommend it when in So. Padre Island.

Place has good ice cream. Its very small and tight in there. There’s plenty of room to enjoy your ice cream outside though.

Friendly workers and a nice place to stop for an ice cream cone after checking out the rock shop. We really enjoyed the parrots behind this ice cream shop.

They make a great milk shake that hit the spot on a hot sunny day! They have candies too! Check it out.
