Had to hang out in Pocatello for the day while we had the car fixed. Walked over to this place and it was delicious. I had the Denver omelette and my BF had the eggs Benedict. Portions are pretty big, and we probably could have split one meal! And the diner coffee was great! Definitely recommend this place if you are passing through town.

The Cobb salad is the best you can get in Pocatello. And I think I’ve tried than all! The Saturday breakfast bar also the best you can get in Pocatello! Not to mention the fabulous diet coke.

If I could give less stars I would. Our server sat us, she was RUDE from second 1. Our food was god awful and took forever to come out. The restaurant was not busy. We were the only table. Our food came out cold. We could not find our server. The other working took my companions food to microwave, never brought it back. Eventually we asked to speak to a manager, he comped some stuff. Our server did not come back so we left money on the table. Rather than check our server told the manager we were dine and dashing. He chased us to our car only to hear that we left money on the table-as our server refused to come back to our table. God awful experience.

Found foreign object in the green beans. It was a tiny rock or something that made a loud ticking noise when dropped on the table. Greek food was too salty and greasy. Eaten a LOT of Greek food and this is not the place to go if you want anything that resembles it. This has to be one of the worst places we’ve ever eaten across the nation. Never. Again.

I really thought my mother had lost it when she suggested we eat here the night before Mother’s Day. Eat a meal in the old Block’s building? You’ve got to be kidding! But, we parked and walked in and were greeted by a friendly hostess and shown to our pick of tables. My mother has recently gone gluten free and our server, Renee, was very patient while we figured out what she wanted/could have from the menu. Me? I opted for the Reuben. The restaurant has a retro-60s vibe going on, why not order that Reuben? Mom opted for the Cobb Salad and loved it! The Reuben was EXCELLENT! The service was terrific – I appreciate a server who is funny, honest and patient and Renee was great!

I have yet to find anything on the Greek menu that wasn’t outstanding! The AYCE breakfast bar on the weekends is also a major hit with the kids. This is not a cocktail dress type restaurant — but an absolute perfect down to earth, family restaurant. We go at least once a month — and is our restaurant of choice every Valentines day! Good food, good price, happy belly!

Wow. Getting in and out of the parking lot alone is a complete nightmare. What’s with all of the random medians in Pocatello, right? But, I digress. As with many of the restaurants you’ll find in Pocatello, this one is worn down, old fashioned, and still has the smell of a place where people used to be able to smoke. The wait-staff seemed surprised to see anyone coming in for lunch, as well they should have. I ordered the greek salad. It was okay. My biggest problem with it was that there was a quarter cup of olive oil in the bottom of my bowl by the time I was finished. VERY wasteful, and honestly, kind of disgusting. If you’re going to serve a salad to someone, either toss the salad in dressing or give it to them in a portion cup on the side, don’t DROWN it in dressing. I’ll forgive the nasty, smoky carpeting, the ugly dust-covered décor, and the worn-torn booths because it’s obvious that you guys don’t get a lot of business, but you really need to step up your game when it comes to your food.

I ate here with a girlfriend once, we both hated it, and I decided to give it a chance 8 months later, and hated it even more. The second time, I had their gyro special. It was greasy, its cheese overpowered all the other flavors, the meat had an over-spiced hotdog-like taste, and the whole thing was dripping oil and water. Worse was the service. They had one waitress which looked angry, dressed unprofessionally, and gave us a slightly annoyed glare when we ordered. She never offered to refill drinks except when asked, and responded to such requests with an awkward silence or with a curt, «Ya.» I don’t remember the first time I went there other than that it had the same terrible service and that I thought the food was below grocery store freezer quality. It has been a few years so it is entirely possible that the place is great now and that the waitress has moved onto her dream of professional wrestling and has been replaced with someone raised with some class, but I doubt it. Two strikes is all you get.

This used to be an okay place for breakfast. The Greek specials were also pretty good. But in the last six months the place has really gone to the dogs in both food and service. There are still a couple of waitresses who are delightful, but they seem to be replacing the good ones with surly people who shouldn’t be handling people or food. I have no idea what happened in the kitchen, but even the things they did well are now inedible. Sad… another Poky restaurant down the drain.

We happened to near Pocatello again this year and couldn’t wait to go to Jim’s for Greek. Sadly, the menu has been de-tuned(we are told is wasn’t catching on with the locals) and now I would rate it as average.

Seriously people, if you think this place is good, then mostly likely you’ve never been out of Idaho or even Pocatello. This place is GROSS! If you aren’t from Pocatello, don’t go there.

Five for the Greek food. There is certainly someone in a toga back in the back somewhere. We split the combo that is available Wed-Fri and it was great. Who would have thought a 70’s restaurant in Pokie ID would have food this good? Found out the owners are Greek brothers. It’s the real deal.

Uncle Jim’s. I’ve done the All-You-Can-Eat Crab legs. It was everything a 750 mile inland small-town restaurant should be for sea food… Really Uncle Jim’s wins my 3 stars with the Gyro Plate. Very yummy standard issue Gyro. Go for it!
