We came with a party of 14 for the murder mystery dinner for my husbands 60th birthday. The food was buffet style and lacked fkavor. The show was horrible, you could barely here the actors talk and the story line was so silly. If it wasn’t for the fact I spent $ 800 we would have left. Save your money and go to murder mystery show in Sacramento. It is worth the drive, food is good and best of all the show was entertaining and enjoyable.

Staff is amazing here. They treat you like they have known you for a long time & I’ve only came in twice. I highly recommend this place. They also have fun events to come too. Defiantly have to try one sometime soon!

I attended the recent Murder Mystery Night. They have a different group of actors and they put on a fun show along with the good food from Zio Frado’s. Great evening for couples or large groups.

I was a vendor here. I am out of the area, but I would highly recommend for a wedding reception venue or any type of special event. It’s got a nice classy vibe to it, and the employees work hard for their customers. The food was excellent as I was lucky enough to get a full entrée(NY steak). I hope to work here again soon!

This is a great place to eat, wonderful tasty salmon … I’ve had salmon before but Zio Fraedo’s the best. My husband and I came for dinner tonight, he had new york steak and I had salmon, atmosphere was great and pleasant. We will definitely come back.

My wife and I had one of our wedding receptions here. The staff here is great! Very warm, very welcoming, and very accommodating. And this place has a very modular banquet, able to accommodate a variety of guests. They’ve been in the wedding reception business for awhile, I can tell. All of the little details were taken care of with finesse. From the welcoming sign outside congratulating my wife and I, to a changing area and an end-of-night emergency, the people in this place are professional, yet warm and welcoming at the same time. And I hear the food is excellent as well! I couldn’t eat any of it because I was so nervous, but the guests all seemed to enjoy it. There’s a ton of Disney-themed décor inside the main hall, and I believe there are rooms on either side of the hall that can fit a bunch of people. We had about 200 guests, and still had some tables to spare. In addition, the dance floor is a pretty good size, and they have a huge projector for any occasion. One of these days I have to come visit for their regular menu!

Nice restaurant. Pleasant atmosphere. Food is well presented(be sure to order the Caesar Salad. It is prepared right at your table.) Has a good wine selection. Waiters are friendly and helpful. It’s a place I take friends who are visiting the area. The only real downside is that they close at 9 pm every night but Saturday(then it’s 9:30). They do let you stay as long as you want, but its disconcerting to be the last couple in the place. In any case, it’s worth going.

We came last evening for a graduation dinner. Tony was charming as always, and gave us appetizers on the house. Calamari and zucchini are amazing. Our waiter, Alex, was kind and attentive to our large group. Everyone had something different, and I can say that the veal saltimboca is amazingly good. I have eaten here on a few occasions previous, and can say that we’ve had excellent food everytime. If you are looking for a fine dining experience, without having to travel into San Francisco, then you must check out this place.

NEVERDOINGANOTHERMURDERMYSTERYDINNEREVEREVERAGAIN!!! My boyfriend and I purchased a Groupon for the event thinking it would be fun to try something new(59 $ each for VIP) with a vip ticket we were supposed to get, quote– VIP seating, sea food/pasta, red carpet entrance, autographed pics of the actors, and photos takin of my boyfriend and I. They flat out lied, NO red carpet entrance, our seating was behind in the back corner and we couldn’t even see the actors, the food was this nasty chicken with ham inside of it and some kind of smushy rice stuff that tasted like baby food on the side. They served chocolate moose last and it was awful too. And I’m sorry actors, but the acting was the worst part. I wanted to fall asleep! two of the actors didn’t even show up so a couple of the other actors had to play two parts. they were trying to be funny the whole time… but it just wasn’t funny. So the autographed pics were just a printed copy of their autographs. but thats okay… i didn’t really want their autographs anyways. The picture that was supposed to be takin of my boyfriend and i was never sent to us either. the parking was a mess too. In the middle of dinner they asked us to move our car because they didn’t have enough parking for everyone because it was completely overbooked. this company just wants to rip you off and take all your money. Oh one more thing everyone else payed 45 for exactly what we got. AND there wasn’t even a freaking murder at the end of the play! someone died of a heart attack! ahhh! I want my money back!

Came here with wife and family for the Murder Mystery Dinner. The buffet was decent. I liked the huge plates. My favorite was the meatballs and pasta. I though the desert was lacking. The play was done well. The plot kept you guessing. I got the Groupon for this and was chastised at the entrance because I didn’t buy at the door.

Celebrated my friends birthday(Dawn Vetrano) here last night. Dave was our waiter. and he was absolutely fabulous! Excellent service. prompt… and with a smile. He attended to our needs and made our dining experience a pleasure. We will definitely come back again. Loved the ambiance… and the courtyard is beautiful as well. Thank you Dave… You are an asset to this restaurant!

Have been to this restaurant several times and found it to be very nice and welcoming. Lunch menu is large and salads are great. Service is very good and I would like to mention Renaldo(attentive without being intrusive). Specials very from day to day for both lunch and dinner. Will continue to patronize this restaurant in the future.

I was looking for something fun and different to do for my husband’s birthday and thought a Murder Mystery Dinner would make a great date night out. So I searched Unilocal and found that Zio Fraedo’s was hosting a Murder Mystery Dinner and then went on to find discounted tickets on Living Social, yay! Unilocal reviews seemed very mixed but I know that we can have a good time anywhere we go and that we should keep our expectations moderate. We arrived at Zio Fraedo’s and were pleasantly surprised at what a lovely restaurant it is! We checked in, were shown to our seats, had our pictures taken with fun mystery-themed props, and headed to the buffet. The food was really mediocre. There was bread, salad, pasta salad, fruit, potatoes, veggies, chicken, an alfredo pasta, and roast beef. I’d say that it was very comparable to somewhere like Denny’s. None of the dishes had much flavor or stood out as great, but my favorites were the chicken and the pasta. For dessert we had a chocolate mousse, but I’d describe it more as chocolate whipped cream in a plastic cup. A cookie or cupcake would have been a better alternative in my opinion. Now on to the show – acting wasn’t great and it moved along pretty slowly. I definitely thought it would have been better if the show had been going on while we were eating. But it was entertaining and got some good laughs out of us. I don’t think I’ll be back to this restaurant(for regular dinner or murder mystery dinner) but I do think it’s worth it to check out if you haven’t been before and even better if you’re going with a big group. Don’t pay full price though, get your tickets through Groupon or Living Social!

Thoroughly mediocre experience. We were a group of 12 for a special occasion. Food was two star at best. Generally bland and plain food. Silly little small ravioli app, would have preferred microwave hot pockets. My veal parmigiana was very bland. Not enough sauce or cheese(or flavor). Server worked hard but service was uneven. Caesar salads for a couple of our group were served 10 minutes after other salad courses were cleared. Bread on table was two stars at best, with butter in gold foil packets. Had to ask for water repeatedly. Some appetizer plates still on table during desserts. Main server basically undermined by poor support, poor food preparation and situation set up for failure for guests and staff. Generally at best a two star experience.

We spent Valentines Night at Zio Fraedos. Nice buffet; prime rib, excellent. Various salads, green, pasta & bean salads, Italian meatballs, fettuccine alfredo. Entertainment was dynamic. Motown Review; high energy, talented singers; three full sets w costume changes. Dance floor was SRO all night long. Mixed crowd, fun and entertaining

Oh Zio Fraedo’s, it’s certainly been a while :) This Fraedo’s and I go way back… well, maybe just a few years or so. It had been a few good years since my last visit here, but I had always greatly enjoyed my visits; which is why I decided to have our recent family holiday dinner here. I remember this place when it was far less fancier; just an old family style joint; needless to say, they did a great job on restructuring the place, especially the exterior. I called in a little over a week or so in advance to book a table for 6. We arrived shortly before, and were seated fairly promptly. I started my evening off with a dirty martini(a drink I for some reason prefer in the holiday season, perhaps due to the increased stress) everyone else went with cokes, juice and coffee. For food, My mother and I, went with the Chicken Cordon Bleu(this dish has been a favorite of mine here for years, so I figured why stray away from something fantastic).I also ordered the escargot(My first trying) My father went with the Veal Parmesan. My honey went with the Chicken Parmesan. My(STB father n law) went with Chicken Fettuccine.(STB mother n law) went with just a basic Chicken Salad. Most of the entrees come with a pasta and sauteed vegetable medley– I just opted out on the pasta and requested more veggies. Escargot arrived first. Nothing spectacular in presentation, but man, Did it turn out good; Savory, and seductively delicious! My father who is an experienced escargot eater, was also greatly impressed… definitely a must. All our dishes arrived with in a reasonable amount of time and were presented well. And, everyone absolutely enjoyed it. First off, my Chicken Cordon Blue turned out to be even better than I remembered-cooked to a mouthwatering, savory perfection; my mother was also greatly impressed with it and was especially glad I requested it. The only disappointment with the food was with the sauteed vegetables(for me) — not cooked thoroughly, and lacked flavor. On another note, my honey absolutely LOVED his Chicken Parmesan, as well as my dad; and my STB mother n law, thought her basic chicken salad was incredible. Only star knocker was, for the fact that they slap a gratuity charge on only a party of 6… really? And a 20% gratuity for that. And, to come with, our server wasn’t necessarily the most warmest, go out of your way, type of server… I mean, he served us, but not with enthusiasm, and certainly not worth a 20% tip in OUR book. But overall, with the company provided, and the exceptionally tasty food, we really did enjoy our visit. But, would I come here again for a party of 6 and over? NOPE, but perhaps for just a party of 2.

Murder Mystery Night was fun, funny and fantastic! My group of 11 had the best time EVER… ! None of us knew what to expect, what the show really was, we embraced it, we let our hair down and jumped into the fun and quirkiness of the evening. The staff is super friendly, they sincerely tried to welcome you and make your evening special. The food was very good, buffet style and much to choose from. I would do this again and again! Don’t be a snob at an event like this, you have to have a sense of humor and a willingness to have fun! «A Bucket List Event»! Thank you Zio Fraedo’s for hosting! Chuck, your the best! DVB group, love you guys!

I sponsored a work-related Team event here a few weeks ago. We had out of town guests and they were paying! What we wanted was good food, service, and atmosphere in a nice group space. I called the reservation a week before and was graciously taken care of and promised that ordering off the menu wouldn’t be a problem. My Company has used Zio Fraedo’s in the past, but that frequency has declined over the year. The reason(which I have experienced) is that in their«generosity», you are sometimes served items that aren’t ordered, with the bill reflected accordingly. My advice about Zio Fraedo’s is positive, but with an admonition to watch them closely. That kind of happened as my Manager had to stop the next round of appetizer plates from coming in. The food was OK, but not exceptional, and the menu was not available. At the same time, our private room was very nice, service was attentive, and our bar remained open. Would I come back? Yes, if it’s with Gayle and inside the Dining Room. However, I’m not so sure about the next group.
