Worst pancakes ever!!! And no maple syrup. The only reason I gave 1 star is the server was nice.

We were seated in an awesome circle booth. The food was tasty and the coffee and hot chocolate kept flowing. Our server was absolutely amazing. He had a great attitude, was responsive and quick with service. It was myself, my husband, our two kiddos and our daughter’s friend from school. It was the prefect way to wrap over a fun sleepover for the girls and a fun camping trip for the boys. I wish we would’ve asked his name but we gave him a pretty hefty tip-almost 40%. He was a younger guy maybe in his 20’s, tall, had a wedding ring on, brown hair, white. I hope management treats this guy well! We were there today during the 9 am hour. We will definitely be back!

I loved the service and the food, came to visit this place with my mom who is visiting from LA and loves her coffee and Crepes for breakfast, I tried the cherry crepes and were delicious! Wheat blueberry pancakes were so delicious. Emma was amazing, so patient and friendly with moms demands :) thank you so much Emma.

Overpriced, unfriendly service, blueberry pancakes had blue dye in them not real blueberries. Pretty disgusting. Extra 4 pieces of bacon will cost you $ 6! Will not be going back.

nope. NOOOOOPPEEE. We came here on a Sunday morning to meet our friends with kids from Dublin. This place is a zoo. Kids screaming and running around everywhere. We sat down and it’s your pretty standard diner menu. The plates and silverware had residual food on them– no thanks. Our server was nice enough, but sometimes absent-minded. I stuck with bacon and eggs with home potatoes, which won me a 20 minute date with the bathroom(AND a second date 10 minutes later!!) Food took a while to come out, but they were busy. It’s cheap though.

Whuh whuh whaaaaat? Original Pancake House in Nor Cal?!? Whuchoo talkin’ about Willis? Wow this was one of the places In So Cal that I used to drive and make the journey to. When I lived in Redndo Beach, mercifully there was o e in neighboring Torrance that I’d hit about once a month — sometimes more when I’d be feeling like being a bad boy :) I dragged the fiancé(she didn’t really feel like pancakes but I’m unstoppable when I want my pancakes), and off we went. Parking was relatively easy as they have their own lot and the wait for that Sunday 9am morning was t more than 10 minutes. We were professionally taken care of during the whole experience form the host to the waiter and who we believe was the manager. We ordered pancakes, of course. Fiancé had a change of heart when her blueberry pancakes came out. What’s to say more than having a nice stack of pancakes with eggs and bacon! Food was typical of my experience with the taste and service at the Torrance, Ca and Maryland locations. This will be our go to breakfast location in Concord. We do t mind if it’s a little corporate. So long as they get it all right, we’ll be fans!

This place is just ok. The service was fine but the portions seem a bit small to me. You pay 11.00 for 1 fruit waffle thats a little less than ¼″ thick and sogg it was almost just like a pankcake. You would think you would be served a think crisp waffle loaded with fruit belgium sytle but nope. Also had the cornned beef hash although it was good there just wasnt much of it.

This is one of my go-to spots for breakfast in the Concord/Pleasant Hill area. Overall, the quality of the food is excellent and the staff, though obviously stretched thin, is hard working and friendly. The biggest issue with this location is portion and pricing; they’re absolutely all over the place and tend toward small portions and large prices. I’d say most of the menu items are«traps» in that you see a big price tag on an entrée that comes with no sides and expect something filling and special. The crepes and breakfast burrito are good examples. $ 12.00 for a pretty plain, barely medium sized burrito is a huge problem. If Chipotle can make me a double meat monster burrito for $ 9.50 I’m going to expect something similar in a sit down place for twelve bucks. I can totally see how a person might eat here once or twice and think the place is a total rip off. However, there are some exceptions. Their signature Dutch Baby pancake definitely fits the bill as being both large and special; the asking price is, for the most part, justifiable. The baked omelets are my favorite here and what I usually order. We’re talking about a big bad 6 egg omelette that comes WITH a side for about the same price as their dainty breakfast burrito. Seriously, what were they smoking when they priced out these menus? Speaking of the actual menus, good God what a nightmare. I’m not even a graphic designer and just looking at these things gives me a headache. Horrible, blurry ink jet print with carriage returns all in the wrong places so you can’t figure out what item goes with what description or price. Table of contents dots that go over images that don’t even go with the food being described. They actually had perfectly good menus when I started coming here a year ago. I have no idea why they swapped those out with these migraine inducing excuses for menus. Also, I don’t like them. My last piece of criticism is for the furniture. If you’re lucky enough to get a booth, you’ll be very conformable. Nice and plush seating. The tables with chairs, on the other hand, are extremely uncomfortable. The chairs are solid wood seats that are relatively low to the ground. Think sitting at a bus stop bench and you’re close. The staff seem to know this, because they tend to fill the booths with customers first, then overflow into the wooden chairs. I think these things were intended to have seat cushions. Maybe they lost them. So, in summary: go here, sit at a booth, put the menu away and order an omelette. Should management get around to fixing their portion/pricing issue, they’ll earn another star from me. Proper menus and seat cushions, too? Five stars! There’s great things here they don’t have to worry about that a lot of other restaurants do, like food quality, good staff and location. They seem to have it. They should really capitalize on those things and make this restaurant everything it could be.

Breakfast — Weekday Fountain sodas were warm with very little carbonation(Hopefully they can get that fixed) Potato pancakes were a little underdone with potato raw enough to have crunch. Waffles are of the small hole type, not the larger style you see other places, it was good. Bacon was larger type, would have been good if cooked right. It was crispy after saying that I wanted it medium(when asked) It appeared as if it was dry, and had been sitting around for a bit. Some may like dry crispy bacon. Eggs were good. Service was good, the guy that helped us was attentive. Other noticed things is the number of employees that stand by the parking lot as you walk by and smoke on the walkway. We may go back but won’t be high on the list. Prices are a little high for what you get

The 5-Stars today are for Timothy’s amazing service! We used to come regularly for Saul’s service, and came much less frequently when he was no longer here. We will return for Timothy’s service. Humorous, quick, courteous, generous, kind… ask for him and sit in his section! Thanks Timothy!

Went today with my friend because we were in the area and wanted some breakfast. IHOP was too far so we settled for this place. We got seated and the lady brought us water. The food was meh, okay, but the proportions were pretty big. Honestly, it’s nothing amazing and pretty regular, meaning it isn’t a place we would go to again anytime soon. The prices are a bit high though.

Since I was craving a Dutch Baby, friend and I met up for brunch at TOPH on a weekday. The last time I went to an TOPH was when I went to San Diego. I really hadn’t even heard of this chain diner before then. Either way, I was on a mission to get my fill. The Pleasant Hill location is a little ways away from the main shopping drag on Contra Costa Blvd. There’s plenty of parking and the building of TOPH is nothing to make your head turn. It’s easily a place you’d pass by every day and not notice it. I was happy there was no line during the weekday, but I could imagine it can get crowded on the weekends. My friend had arrived before me and started with a cup of joe. The waiter was very quick in bringing me a water shortly after I sat down. The menu has all sorts of pancakes as you would expect and bfast usual at any American diner. Ironically, I did not end up ordering a Dutch Baby but instead ordered the fruit crêpe. Friend ordered Eggs Benedict with a side of fruit. For a place that wasn’t that busy, it took quite a long time to receive our food. The waiter checked on us often and was very friendly. When we finally received our dishes, everything was well portioned. The fruit crêpe I ordered was filled and topped with fresh strawberries and blueberries. I did not opt for the whipped crème or syrup. The crêpe was sweet and eggy tasting, Although a little thick for a crêpe, still was quite tasty. Friend took home half of her order since it was quite a lot of food for one. Total tab was about $ 37. Maybe I’ll be back for an actual Dutch pancake next time.

I use to go to OPH for years with my mom since she went to OPH in Portland, OR where she grew up. My mother passed away last July so this is the first time I was back since her passing. I went on Thursday, 2⁄26 around 10am. The place was pretty empty, but there was only one waitress working hard to service all the customers. Our waitress was pleasant, but overwhelm with the lack of support from the manager of busy people. Their food has good down hill. The Apple Pancake I ordered for the table took over 40 minutes to arrive and when it finally did it looked like it had been dropped on the floor, scraped up and put on a plate. When I mentioned it to our waitress she just said, «I know it doesn’t look like it should, but it still tastes the same» The point was the apple pancake should have never left the kitchen in the first place. To add insult to injury, I was another perfectly form Apple Pancake served to another table a little while later so that just showed the kitchen can serve a good apple pancake. I ordered Eggs Benedict and requested poached eggs with runny/loose yolks. The poached eggs came out over cooked with solid yolks. The kitchen tried to make them again, but their second attempt was just a little better then their first set. Our service was sub-par because our waitress had too many tables to cover. The restaurant manager did nothing to help his staff out, like taking coffee around so our waitress could concentrate on her orders. The worst part is the Original Pancake House has raised their prices on all their items so you’ll pay more for less quality. There are many better options for a good breakfast in the area I can no longer recommend the Pleasant Hill Original Pancake House.

I come here every time my father in law comes to town! It is a great place for kids because they are always accommodating(and so nice about cleaning up after my twin toddlers). If you go to a place with a food in the name, make sure you get that lol. There pancakes are quite delicious! I love the blueberry with the blueberry syrup. I will say its somewhat pricey for being just a breakfast place. Like I prefer savory breakfast sometimes, and it just seems like a lot for eggs and bacon… But hey I said get pancakes at a pancake house so you should! Service is always amazing! Gets busy on the weekends, but wait isn’t too long. Definitely a good place for family breakfast: D

We used to love this place for weekend breakfast but something happened in The last year, maybe a change in Ownership? Used to have a fun balloon lady the kids would like with cheerful staff. Now the staff looks over worked and when we asked if they’d changed hands she said no, but the food has gone down hill. Bacon used to be cooked to perfection and was thick and good. Now it’s limp and small and the crepes don’t taste as good.

If you want to make family weekend memories with fluffy pancakes and flavorful omelettes, this is the place to be. Been here 4x and brought different friends with me each time. Servings are always large portions. Biggest selection of pancakes and waffles I’ve ever seen. Menu is has abundant breakfast choices. Pancakes are consistently light and fluffy, omelettes are flavorful, and steaks are cooked just right. Orange juice is freshly squeezed and chilled. Coffee is fair but ok. The servers I’ve been blessed to have each time were helpful, courteous, and accommodating. Service with a smile always. It’s a family friendly place. Make breakfast memories here.

I came here with my family to enjoy breakfast, and of course, most of us ordered pancakes! I believed I ordered the banana nut pancakes. My sister order the pumpkin pancakes. Both were pretty good. The pancakes were soft and fluffy, and the butter and syrup made it that much better! I live a ways away from here, but if I’m in town and I am craving pancakes, I’ll come back!

Came in here on a Sunday morning with my husband and two friends who had spent the night with us the night before. The estimated fifteen to twenty minute wait was accurate and we were being seated in an oversized booth before we knew it. The size of the booth plus the layout of the place and it’s noise level created an atmosphere where we were yelling to one another across the breakfast table. Our server poured some coffees and took our order. She apologized twice for how long it was taking, and we didn’t receive our food for about forty minutes after the order was taken. One side order egg was forgotten altogether. I ordered the corned beef and hash with eggs over medium(over-cooked when they came out) and five potato pancakes. Delicious! I don’t think I’ve had a potato pancake before and I smothered them in sour cream and hot sauce. Portions were big and I took a little to go home at the end of the meal. Our friend’s gluten free pancakes came on big plates and they At the register, a big sign reads: «No splitting checks at the register». Not wanted to make my guests pay for our share of the meal, I had to buy the $ 70 breakfast myself. Is there something difficult about running two credit cards? Food was pretty good, but dining experience overall was pretty retched.
