Our family loves Jacks. The variety is good without being overwhelming. They always have something for every one(including my kids who are so picky that they seem to survive on chicken strips and Cheerios). The service is always impeccable. We come here at least once a month and have even rented out their private room upstairs a few times.

Jack’s is a great place to meet up with friends and family. They have a pretty reasonable menu with a variety of selections. Their burgers are decent, Mac-n-cheese isn’t amazing, but the sweet potato fries are perfect with the chipotle mayo sauce. Definitely go there for breakfast, it’s pretty darn good! Jacks omelette, corned beef hash, and the waffles are perfect with a good mocha or Bloody Mary from the bar. My favorite is the breakfast burrito with bacon, extra cheese, and extra pico! It’s delicious! My only complaint is that they only serve it Monday-Friday, and no holidays… What?!? Why?!? It’s so simple to make, I don’t understand their weird schedule for a normal breakfast staple found at every restaurant that serves breakfast. They also don’t seem to add any new items to the menu… ever. Keep it fresh and new every once in awhile. Service is good. They have a good group of waiters, with only a few that are grumpy and hate their job. All in all, this is one of our favorite places to go.

Came here for lunch and a beer at a bar room table instead of the bar counter. I ordered a Shock Top and a California Burger(medium rare) with sautéed mushrooms, avocado, jack cheese, with a side of garlic-oregano fries. It was quite good. The best part of lunch was the bartender coming over to me and apologizing for the moron that was ranting in my face about Hillary Clinton very rudely and praising Donald Trump. He told me he was as embarrassed as I was. We both laughed about it, nice of him to remember that«incident» from a week ago. They get an extra star for class!

I wish I could like this place more than I do, but I just can’t! I wish the food quality matched the ambiance and vibe that I get from this place but it just doesn’t. The food is very mediocre. They’re famous for their different variations of macaroni and cheeses but they’re not good at all. Tried the classic, California and the Italian. Very bland, and all are full of butter and oil. Wouldn’t recommend. I think this might be an okay spot for a late night happy hour, grab a few beers and maybe get some sweet potatoes fries or something. Would only come again if I was invited by someone else. Meeeeh!

Despite the fact that I ordered the wrong thing, I am still hopeful that Jack’s will be able to turn it around on my next visit. I should’ve ordered breakfast and am mad at myself for not sticking to my original order. It was lunch, so I went with my second choice of the green salad with chicken and lemon vinaigrette. I dug in and immediately noticed that the chicken was under-cooked – no big deal, it happens and it’s definitely an easy fix. The waitress though was a bit unapologetic and kind of made me feel like I was being picky. That part was not ok because we all could clearly see the under-cooked raw part. It came back after being cooked more thoroughly and I muscled through but didn’t enjoy. Next time, breakfast for sure.

We put off going here for a year because of reading some bad reviews. But, every time we drove by the place was packed so we decided that it couldn’t be that bad. We have now been there for brunch, happy hour and dinner and all three are 5 star with our favorite being brunch. It doesn’t matter what you get the portions are giant without losing quality. The service has been 5 star 2 out 3 times with the 3rd time being 3 star because they were so busy. This is a great place so don’t let a few negative nancys scare you away

Everybody loves Jack’s! This very popular and welcoming restaurant was a perfect fit for the shopping center and neighborhood after the overpriced and out of place French fine dining joint Left Bank finally shuttered. In its place, Jack’s is a great family restaurant with a date night edge, with a large accessible menu peppered with Mediterranean flair. Definitely something for everyone! Along with many lunches and dinners here, I’ve also attended business meetings and a rehearsal dinner in their upstairs private room. That room is a great space for a gathering of around 30 people to have an intimate dinner overlooking the charm of downtown Pleasant Hill. Plus in the nonsense of them deciding to put their one bathroom at the top of a flight of stairs, you’re right next to it! A nice perk. Though I certainly have much more to try on their menu, I consistently order their Sunset Boulevard Burger and their Orzo Salmon — I just can’t quit these two tasty options! The salmon is seared in chunks, and tossed in with a generous portion of orzo in a light creamy sauce with tomatoes and basil. It’s filling and indulgent but still feels light, suitable for lunch or dinner and pairs up beautifully with a glas of cava or sauvignon blanc. Their Sunset Boulevard Burger is a dreamy concoction of a burger cooked to your liking with bacon, cheese and avocado on two slices of sourdough bread. Simple but totally unique and satisfying — I love to eat this burger with a glass of Zinfandel on their patio on a warm evening! My go-to appetizers are their zucchini cakes and spanakopita — while their spanakopita can be a little inconsistent(sometimes large chunks, sometimes skimpy, sometimes piping hot, sometimes barely room temperature), their zucchini cakes are a winner every time, and a totally unique vegetarian app! The generous dollops of tzatziki the cakes come with certainly don’t hurt either! Jack’s is very popular at all hours of the day, especially if you want to hit them for dinner on a weekend night or on a night when there is a major sporting event happening(they have a very dynamic and lively bar full of TVs), make a reservation or plan on a long wait. Jack’s is a great neighborhood restaurant with the vibe and energy of a big city bistro, I’m so glad they’ve made a home in Pleasant Hill!

I wrote my last review on Jacks Taps which is the same building, but I had to write another once I had my second meal here. The food is amazing here and the portions are large! Also, the prices are very reasonable for this area. I highly recommend going for breakfast and getting either the chicken and waffles or «the Moose.» You won’t be disappointed.

This place reminds me of a place in Daly City called Boulevard Café. The only difference is that the customer service here sucks. They have snooty waiters and waitresses who rush you so they can go on to the next. Not sure why they will risk a tip cause they never get one when they serve me. They have to work for it! The only thing I like about this place is the food! Biscuits and gravy and their breakfast! Yum!

Came here for Sunday brunch! Wait was about 10 – 20 minutes, but was seated quickly Service −2.5÷5 waitress forgot to bring coffee and lagged too much on other things. Food −4÷5 ordered the Monterey omelette which was very good, huge portions –with crispy hashbrowns, yummy Good place to eat food, very spacious, cool place to go to bathroom, and nice patio seating!

We came out here for brunch before driving out to Napa Valley. My first impression was that the décor was well done and modern and the place was clean. The place seems pretty big and I heard that it had expanded as well. I saw stairs, but I didn’t really get to see it. I’m assuming that it’s more tables and chairs. And for those that don’t know, there’s a bathroom on the 1st floor by the bar, so you don’t have to go upstairs. Ok, so now for the food. Spinach Artichoke Eggs Benedict: Now I’ve always been a fan of any eggs benedict, so when I saw this one I was excited to try it out. And it was amazing. It’s like they drizzled spinach dip all over my eggs benedict. They did a job well done on the over easy eggs… I love them runny yolks. And the hash brown was done just the way that I like it, crispy but not burnt. Bananas Foster French Toast: I love both bananas foster and French toast, so the both of them joining in marriage had to be impeccably tasty and it WAS! You get the warm banana slices with the pan fried toast topped with the maple syrup. I can’t forget the whip cream and the sprinkle of cinnamon. I don’t know about the other foods, but the brunch was awesome!

Well, we have been coming here for the double cut pork chop and the lam riblets since they took over the space from the last restaurant. Needless to say, someone at the corporate office has removed both items from the menu. At least they offered a dessert for my daughters 13 birthday. Probably our last visit here…
