Great food, price, and ambiance. Got the Finos roll(Stromboli style sandwich). Good stuff. The bread they give is awesome. Check it out when you are in that side of town

What has happened to this place. Since the New owners we have been here twice. Tonight we made a reservation for 7 and had to seat ourselves. It took 15 min to bring us bread and another 5 to get water… ANDSTILL no one took our Order. Bye Finos we won’t be back.

I don’t mind waiting for food if it’s good but everything we ordered was very bland. The staff let us wait forever to order in the first place. Bread and app was decent but overall a disappointment. Their chicken saltimbocca comes with a Madeira sauce and spinach. Lol like bro? Do you even italian?

Have just had the best meal ever at Fino’s Italian Bistro. Again!!! Absolutely the BEST Italian restaurant in the DFW area and BYOB so you can enjoy your favorite wine without paying exorbitant prices! We had a group of 8 and everyone LOVED their meals and for the first time we splurged on dessert and Oh My God! EVERYTHINGWASAMAZING!

Stunning dinner. I had the Osso Bucco special. It was amazing. I mean great like a New York or Chicago neighborhood Italian restaurant. Other greats at the table were the Sea bass and the shrimp scampi. Wrapped up with a lemon cello cake. Wow. What a great meal!

Finos has an awesome menu and is a hidden west Plano gem. However since the new owners have taken over, their service is horrible. I would give them 5 stars for food, and 1 star for service. BYOW is nice, but bring two bottles while you wait 30 min to order! And wait another 45 min for your food.

Food was poor! Ordered tortellini and shrimp. Huge plate of tortellini, but only 4 shrimps. Really? $ 15.99 for that?!? Won’t be returning. Not to mention wait staff is not attentive!

I will have to agree with another review I saw. Customer service was a joke. Rude waitstaff. Our food took about 45 minutes to come out. For pasta? I didn’t understand. We asked several times about food, not once did the manager come over to try to even explain. Lie to me, I don’t care. But to not even come by the table? Waitress never came back by table to check on our long awaited food quality, until the end. Only because we flagged her down and asked for tab. Food was mediocre. But will not be back.

Horrid service. Blonde running the front was as rude, inefficient and unsympathetic as they come. I had a 7:30 reservation for 15 and 8 pm the table was still not ready. No customer service skills at all. Common sense if u have back to back reservations make sure your parties are aware. I could not believe how rude she was and could have cared less about my party waiting in cold outside as there is no waiting space in this establishment. If I could give ZERO stars I would. I will make sure that none of the businesses I work with ever use this restaurant again.

The positives: 1.The pasta is delicious, it’s all made in house(I’d give most of the entrees 4 –5 stars). 2.The prices are so reasonable that your wallet & stomach can both stay fat. 3.You can bring your own wine & not be fined with an outrageous corkage fee for doing so. However… The negatives: Slow & somewhat inattentive service. On top of that, no one seems to know what a balsamic reduction is(totes unacceptable, right?). For that reason, as well as not having fresh basil, I’d skip the Caprese Salad.

4.2 stars but I’m rounding up because I believe in the way they run things there. I’ve been twice in past 2 weeks after not visiting in over a year. I don’t write a lot of Unilocal reviews. I thought it was worth sharing this place with other Unilocalers. Finos seems to stay busy enough at least on weekend nights and they probably don’t need my review. Nowadays I really enjoy having a good to great quality wine with my dinner and am grateful to find a decent restaurant that is BYOB in the DFW area. It’s so nice to be able to take a bottle of something you know will be good and enjoy it with a nice meal. I’d recommend you bring your own stemware. There is now a liquor store within walking distance of the restaurant in case you show up empty handed. The ambiance has improved quite a bit especially since they built a separate dining area where the patio used to be which has alleviated a lot of congestion that used to be there. I would still recommend that they reduce the illumination levels in that new room, use real tablecloths even if covered by glass and place several flame less led candles about to take it to the next level Food was consistently good both visits for us and others in our party. I can recommend the Insalata Bosca which had pairs candied nuts and Gorgonzola cheese in a well-balanced balsamic vinegar rat over spring mix. We ordered chicken marsala and asked the kitchen to go lighter on butter and oil and both times it was executed perfectly. Chicken portion is large and the breast came out very tender both times. Linguine with shrimp in a slightly spicy marinara was also tasty and I wouldn’t of minded if the pasta was more al dente. The service on our last visit was very good however it wasn’t as busy and evening as our other visit where the service was a little more uneven. But nothing to complain about. Finos offers great value in a time and place where it’s becoming such rarity.

So we ordered online through grub hub. Took over an hour and a half and when I called(whoever was working 12⁄15) was completely honest with me on the time. Their delivery guy didn’t show up. She went out of her way to make sure we got our food… By delivering it herself. IF I wasn’t starving I would’ve told her not to worry about it. But whoever you are… Thank you SOMUCH for delivering our food! I feel bad because I don’t remember your name but I hope you get the credit.

This place has a wonderful, «mom’s house» kinda feel to it and the dishes we chose were exceptional. My friend had the Chicken Genovese which we both loved because it’s HUGE and I chose the Lobster Ravioli. Oh my goodness! The staff was warm and friendly and we expect to spend many more evenings dining here. Oh and it’s also BYOB!!! Great great great!

I’ve decided to try Fino’s based on two reasons. The reviews and the fact it’s BYOB. My wife and I are avid wine lovers! We stared with the calamari and caprese. I followed with the Chicken Piccata. Wife had Lobster Ravioli. Back for second night. Portobello Shrimp apptzr rocks. I did the chicken bolognese… excellent. Wife had the shrimp scampi.delicious.

Food gets a 5⁄5. I am so pleased every time I go. The bread is soft, the pasta’s cooked well, the sauce is delicious. but…Service is pretty awful. I’ve been 3 times and every time is SLOW and seating is jam packed. I know having a delicious menu is partially to blame for this, the place IS popular, but sometimes it gets downright ridiculous. Last time I had to walk to the counter and ask for my check because it was taking 10+ minutes to get a waiter to come over. Waters hardly filled. To avoid the poor service, we tried carry out last time. I called and they asked to put me on hold for a moment — sure. They sat the phone down and forgot about me haha, I could hear all the bustle going on in the background. I waited for 7 minutes and then hung up and called again, guy didn’t even recognize my voice and when I pointed out I had been sitting there on hold he said«oops». Also to note — they do not do substitutions to their menu between Friday and Sunday. I prefer a different noodle shape when I get chicken parmesan(it’s literally a switch from spaghetti noodles to ziti noodles) and even though it’s something really minor, they deny me that request any time I go on a weekend. All in all it’s not a big deal to me, but if you want to sub something larger, just a heads up that they may say no on the weekend.

FINOS Restaurant August 8, 2015 If you like an Environment where patrons waiting to be seated are glaring at you while you eat all with the secret hope that you choke on your Pancetta and die so they can get your table, then this is the place for you. Our Experience started at 5:45 P.M. Saturday, August 8, 2015. I spoke with the Finos Hostess who told me the reservation I made Tuesday, August 4 at 10:25 a.m. for six at six had been lost. The Hostess admonished me for not calling after 5 P.M. so I could speak with her instead of one of the other staff members, in order to make my reservations. I had never been to Finos, however, I had always heard good things about the restaurant. We were seated at 6:05 P.M. and ordered waters and iced tea. The iced tea tasted bitter, like it had been sitting out for several days. We didn’t complain, but we all switched to water. The Waiter that took our order was in such a hurry that he didn’t wait to get all of our orders correctly. He walked away in the middle of my father telling him what he wanted on his spaghetti. My 19 year old daughter ordered angel hair pasta with butter. A seemingly simple dish to make, but the pasta came out crunchy because it was under cooked. The noise level in the restaurant was so loud that I had to lean across the table to hear my mother speak. To get to the bathroom you have to ask other patrons to move their chair. All in all the food cost was reasonable, however the quality of the food, the excessively noisy atmosphere, the poor wait staff ordering process and the seething patrons waiting for a table made this a notable experience for all the wrong reasons. For me, there are many OTHER suitable dining options in the Plano area. Good Luck!

Best Italian food in easy neighborhood setting. BYOB is extra benefit, frankly the food reputation has outpaced Fino’s capacity for timely and hospitable service. Adding outside seating without expanding kitchen has worsened issue. Great food awful service/kitchen delivery.

I’ve been here so many times that sometimes I think I owe the joint, but last night’s service was just terrible. Our waiter was one we’ve never had before so I’m not sure if he was new or not but he sure did have the cockiness and the attitude like he’s been there since roll out. He sat us down and instantly we felt rushed. «How many wine glasses? You want wine glasses? How many you need?» I felt like saying, «FIVE! We need FIVEWINEGLASSES, STAT!!» It’s like, chill bro, can we all sit down first? Is this the only time we’re going to get to interact with you or what? Why so serious, waiter? It’s funny because he didn’t bring them or our waters for at least 10 minutes. Didn’t come back around to ask us for our appetizers for probably 20 minutes. But once my uncle asked him whether he should get the Raviolini Delicate or the Cannelloni I almost laughed at how rude the waiter was. He rolls his eyes and shrugs while doing the hand motion for hurry it up, looks around at the restaurant and says impatiently, «I don’t know… so you want the raviolini?» Totally didn’t answer my unc’s question. The food was good as usual but it took probably 20 minutes for us to get our checks. That’s 20 minutes of watching him avoid eye contact with us. Another waiter with a soul came by because he understood that customers would like to pay after a meal so they can leave. He even apologize for our waiters neglect.
