I usually love me some Maggiano’s. Not today! I typically visit the one in Dallas or Vegas. What I experienced here today really damaged the Maggi’s brand. It was awful. I should have known something was off when I entered at 1:00 on a Sunday and they we’re NOT busy. That sat me right away. No one greeted me for 10 min. Several servers walked by but didn’t even acknowledge me. Very unusual. Finally someone greeted me(not my server). I ordered a glass of wine, salad and entrée. This is the order it came out: entrée, salad, wine. The lettuce in the salad was wilted(perhaps a day old). Everything else was fabulous… except the service was awful. The server knew it… kept apologizing… and didn’t comp anything. Oh, and I forgot… there was a huge black long hair under my knife that I had to point out(I’m a redhead). I would NOT recommend eating in. Perhaps call your order in and eat it in the car or at home.

Love the ambiance, the service, the food, the speed of service, and in general everything about this restaurant. Love their: 1. Zucchini frittes 2. Gnocchi 3. Rigattoni D And now that we can order one pasta dish and take another home. I love the value for money plus fettucine alfredo tastes better the next day anyway.

Hate the fact it’s a chain. But you know what — it’s delicious every time. These guys just have it down. And the fact that when you order a pasta dish you get 78 pounds of pasta to eat there plus another 85 pounds to take home!!! Even better! America wins again! Will it bring you back to your Italian vacation on Lake Como? Nope! Is it damn delicious? Yup!

We went here the other night and I doubt we will ever go back. Service was super slow. Food was mediocre. I ordered the chicken Parmesan and quite frankly I make it better at home. Overall the place was pretty disappointing and I highly probable we will never go back. We went with another couple and they agreed. So disappointing because we had much higher expectations.

Love it. They have crazy deal for two main dishes, 1 appetizer and 1 dessert and 2 main dishes as a take away In just 40 $ they food is great, but after a while and after you already tried everything it’s a little boring The resturant is beautiful!

Maggiano’s is a solid 3.5 stars in my opinion. This location in particular is one I have gone to for years and have had at least 3 – 4 birthday dinners at along with multiple family celebrations. My brother and I were here recently to treat my mom to Mother’s Day dinner. Going somewhere that took reservations was a must, and here you can easily do so on their webpage or the Open Table app. I was glad we did too because the wait was an hour and a half for walk ins. Service was slow but that’s to be expected on a holiday. It didn’t help either that he seemed to be the only waiter in our section with all full tables. The complimentary bread was warm and fluffy though, and I love that they serve it with olive oil and parmesan cheese like they do in my favorite Italian restaurants in Chicago. I also enjoyed their special ‘Eat A Dish for Make A Wish’ menu in which $ 1 is donated for every item you order from said menu to the Make A Wish foundation. Not only that, but if you take a picture of the dish and tweet it with the hashtag #EatADish4MAW, Maggiano’s will donate an additional $ 5. Naturally we had to order off it, so my mom and I each had a seasonal sangria. I don’t remember what all was in it, but I know it had Tito’s vodka, peach and lemon juices, and sparkling wine. It was fruity and refreshing. The portions are huge so we decided to share a meal. My mom and I split the baked ziti and my brother had the lasagna. You also get to take home a pasta for free when you order from the On The House Classic Pastas, so they took another baked ziti and a fettuccine alfredo home with them. The total for our sangrias, my brother’s root beer, two pasta dishes, and two to take home was $ 55. Not bad! We planned to get the berry tiramisu for dessert(also off the Eat A Dish menu) but were way too full. Most of the desserts I’ve tried in the past have all been great though including their regular tiramisu, lemon cookies(which are free on your birthday), and of course the pumpkin cheesecake. They even have an upstairs room you can rent out for private or corporate dinners, and I believe they cater as well.

I have always loved Maggiano’s. We went tonight to celebrate a new job. Service was terrible. Starting with the hostess all the way to our waiter, we were left sitting and waiting. Who was waiting on who? We had to ask for Parmesan cheese after waiting 10 minutes after our meal was served. Food was fine but will not go back based on service. We will go to Kenny’s from now on when we want Italian food.

We celebrated our Anniversary here 4÷11÷16 and truly enjoyed our evening. From our server all the way to the manager visiting with us, we were treated with such kindness and sweetness for our celebration. Our food was good, and the service was quick. Our appetizers were okay, the actual meal was good, and way more than either us could have eaten. And our dessert was okay as well. *Sadly I was disappointed that they changed out the tea that used to be served(which was a black currant tea) I know it seems silly to mention that, but it truly was that good. *If it wouldn’t have been that our server was as sweet as she was and that everyone was being so nice, I would have said something there, but I didn’t want to take away from our evening.(and I’m sure they would have fixed it, had I said something, so I’m still leaving), though our actual meal was really good. Our zucchini for the appetizer was overly cooked, to where it was super crunchy. Our dessert,(Crème brûlé)which we’ve had it several times here before, but this time, the top was done as it was intended, but was very bitter compared to normal(burned a little too Imuch in some areas). For our take home meals, we ordered the Angel Hair Vegetable Primavera & Fettuccine Alfredo and ended up with the Fettuccine Alfredo and a Spaghetti & Meatball.

I admit it– I am a Dallas native who grew up close to Northpark Shopping Center & never ate at Maggiano’s. I heard it was decent food(not great), but huge portions. Fast forward to now– we live close to Park & the Tollroad in Plano. We had a storm coming toward us this week & I decided I wanted Italian food. We decided to forgo our usual, Amore, & try Maggiano’s. We barely beat the storm, but this was such a surprising experience! Max was our awesome server(worked there 4 years!) & we took his suggestions. The crispy zucchini fritté with lemon aioli was excellent, although I didn’t expect to care for zucchini… I ordered the Rigatoni«D», herb-roasted chicken, mushrooms, caramelized onions & Marsala cream sauce. My husband ordered a Chef’s Special of Rosemary Chicken in a honey marinara sauce. Both dishes were absolute perfection! Don’t even get me started on the scrumptious crème brûlée we had for desert! As we awaited our main course, Chef Jenna came to our table & introduced herself. Since she heard it was my 1st time at Maggiano’s, she did the unheard of! She brought us a complimentary order of fried artichoke hearts– delicious! The manager, Brandi, also came to our table & welcomed us warmly. We are a middle-aged, unpretentious couple, but we were treated as if we were the only patrons in the restaurant! Our sincere thanks to the entire staff– I know we’ll be returning soon to try the chicken piccata! Karen & Terry

Had another amazing lunch and used the meal for two! Wonderful lasagna and the dessert was delicious! Banana bread pudding! You can not go wrong with this amazing dessert! The executive chef and sous chef stopped by our table and said hello. Always a fantastic meal

We were a large group that came here a few weeks ago for a birthday dinner and we were graciously placed on the 2nd floor overlooking the rest of the restaurant. Score! That was nice. Our server was nice enough, not very talkative but understandable considering he had other tables to attend to, and although he looked extremely busy we never felt rushed or neglected. I ended up ordering the mushroom raviolis and they were very yummy. I got to take the same thing home and it tasted even better the day after. There’s something about italian food that tastes even better after a few hours. Thanks Maggianos!

First time eating here and decided to leave a review. There were two of us. We waited 45 minutes for a table with no reservation on a Saturday night and were fine with it. The lady who sat us asked if it was our first time here and we said yes so she said a manager would come by to greet us and drop off a complimentary appetizer which never happened. Again that’s fine but why even tell us that if its not going to happen? Anyway I ordered a primo margarita(very reasonably priced and well made) I only needed one! I also got the spaghetti and meat ball my husband ordered a Stella and got chicken Parmesan. The food was very good and very HOT when the runners brought it(you would be surprised how many times I’ve gotten cold food brought out to me at a restaurant) 5 stars for the service, ambiance, hot food, and well made drink We will be back

Maggiano’s, although a chain restaurant, does a good job balancing intimacy — from a small family dinner — to catering and banquet rooms — which may involve large business meetings or parties. I’ve always had pleasant service experiences with this store in particular, and the last visit was no exception! Shoutout to Sara(h) the clearly spoken, intelligent, and savvy redhead for taking care of us a couple weeks ago. There were so many small details that she caught and addressed that made my mother-daughter date night that much more pleasant. I’d say this was definitely a night where service pushed our dining experience above and beyond what we expected! We started out our night with the spinach salad — decided to split the smaller portion rather than the full out one, and it could easily go between two people. Sarah’s comment of not wanting to «over-feed us» was definitely taken into consideration. The spinach salad is something we always get, considering the fact that we never order salad when we go out. The blend between the sweet and acidic dressing, nuts and onions and cheese(I think they gave us feta instead of bleu cheese but whatever) makes for a great starter. Afterwards, I tried the country pasta and my mom some sort of sausage shell pasta promotion(it was part of Maggiano’s ‘buy one take one home’ deal). Both came out looking crazy heavy but were surprisingly palatable — mine especially came with small pieces of sun-dried tomato and asparagus to go with the(slightly-overcooked but I can overlook that) curly pasta and cheese-chicken meatballs. The pasta had more liquid than I anticipated so it was almost like a semi-noodle soup. I kind of liked that aspect. Mom’s pasta was more straightforward — pasta shells, sausage… a simple but effective shebang. After our entrees, mom asked for decaf coffee which was served up in a cup… as well as an entire metal carafe, cream on the side. Tasted pretty darn fresh too! It’s gestures like these that get you the extra tips, yo. I asked for hot water with lemon and got similar treatment. Decided on their tiramisu, which is always bomb-diggity. While we were dutifully munching, Sara professionally boxed all of our leftover food and, upon noticing that we couldn’t finish the last fourth of the tiramisu, offered to put it in a tiny container as well. She didn’t miss a beat between eating, coming out with the check, and processing it. We left full and fulfilled.

Ok, this review is in regard to take-out. I have eaten at this location about eight times over the last few years. The food and service is generally quite good. Honestly I had no complaints up until a couple weeks ago… My mistake — getting a take-out order for our family. The«Family Order of Spaghetti and Meatballs for four» along with dessert. To recap what we received: 1. A smallish container of spaghetti(some dry by the way) with sauce on the top. The sauce was not mixed and was not enough for what little noodles there were in the container. 2. One(1) single meatball. For a family of four. We diced it up to make meat chunks. 3. Three small pieces of that ciabata bread — for a family of four. I guess they want to chop that up into little pieces. They aren’t big to begin with… 4. No butter or sides — at all. 5. A plastic tub of mixed salad with one single small container of dressing. I will concede there were plenty of greens — just so little dressing to go with it… To make this work for four I had to open a jar of bottled sauce at home and cook up some more noodles. I had to pull dressing from the fridge to make the salad work. What is the point of ordering a to-go meal for four when you have to do all this work anyways? We did have dessert and it was great. I will give them credit for that. The final reason for the one-star rating — management lack of follow-up and ignoring a complaint. I was quite upset as everyone gathered around to eat and I pulled everything out of the nice brown folding bags they provided to find there was not near enough food for a family. I wrote a complaint on their online website and received a reply the next day saying they take complaints seriously and that someone would reach out within two business days. That has been 12 days ago and I never heard back. So, from my perspective I’m moving on — and leaving this as a warning to anyone else that actually does want to feed a real family. Just avoid this frustration…

My mom and I ate lunch here yesterday as part of her on-going birthday celebration. I love Italian food the way cowboys love boots. I could eat it everyday! This was my second time eating here, and it most certainly won’t be my last. The food is so good and authentic. The five stars are for the food, customer service, ambiance, and the food. I mentioned food twice on purpose. I HIGHLY recommend Maggiano’s if you’re in the mood for some mouth watering Italian food. It’s a great place to eat with family, friends, co-workers, and private parties. Don’t forget about date night! Two thumbs up!

My sorority hosted a private banquet event here. The service was excellent –fast, friendly, and thoughtful. Our server checked on us several times and made sure our glass was always full. Our server also made sure to bus our table to keep it clean and tidy(even though we made a mess… oops). The food was served in family-style portions. We had salad, bruschetta, lasagna, fettuccine alfredo, and cheese ravioli. The food was OK, nothing exceptional about it(3⁄5 stars). The dessert was DELICIOUS. I had the New York style cheesecake and profiteroles with vanilla bean ice cream topped with whipped cream and chocolate syrup. The dessert was to die for. The staff was great. Food is a bit pricey. I will be on a lookout for a more authentic and *cheaper* Italian restaurant. I may give Maggiano’s a second chance.

Standard Maggiano fare. They had a special where certain dishes came with an extra portion to take home. We had about 10 guests for a birthday. The restaurant is huge, banquet sized. Located near Willow Bend Mall. Easy to find off of the freeway. Plenty of parking outside including valet parking. We were seated upstairs. The tables were SO close together and there were no space in between the chairs. Server kept bumping into our chairs. I would have a conversation with another guest and get interrupted. Not the servers fault, of course. Management should take note that tables should not be placed so close together. It makes for a very unpleasant evening for guests. On the other hand, service was great. And the Best dish was the cheesecake!

I stopped by with a friend after shopping at North Park. I haven’t been here in awhile, and the food was pretty good. I probably should’ve ordered something different because I’m not a big fan of Angel Hair Pasta. The dish I ordered had too much shrimp and tasted a bit too salty that overpowered the rest of the flavors. However, my friend got the traditional lasagna and also got an entrée to go for free. The tiramisu made up for the dish that I have ordered. Maybe next time I’ll order something else from the menu that is more fit for my tasting.

Wife and I and our 2 kids were part of a 18-person graduation lunch party on a rainy saturday in May ’15. I arrived a little after everyone else was seated in the dining room upstairs overlooking the restaurant downstairs. The waitress — Weslea — was great in handling the big group, taking orders and responding to all the varied requests. She also quickly brought us two high chairs for the little ones. I ordered the $ 28.25 Veal Marsala and Wife got the $ 15.95 l-Parm Tilapia. Kid’s got the $ 5.95 Kid Pizza. My Veal Marsala was great, and you know your food is good when the wife abandons her food to dig into your plate! My Wife said her L-Parm Tilapia was O.K. meaning it wasn’t all that. I tasted it and I sorta agreed(–1 star). It was rubbery and not seasoned to well. My 2 year old ate the pizza, but he’s not that great of an eater. so I can’t really rate the Kid Pizza. Overall, our waitress Weslea was awesome and was on top of things. We got our water and other drinks re-filled regularly and she came by several times to check on us. We didn’t wait too long to get our checks back. In addition, the restaurant has a great ambiance and I’ll be coming back for another visit without a big group.
