Christopher and Ciara have catered multiple events for me over the past couple of years and all have been absolutely incredible. They are both so wonderful to work with, their food is beautiful, creative and delicious, the staff is always lovely. I’ve referred them for weddings, corporate events, dinner parties and everyone has always been blown away by how amazing they are. Christopher and Ciara are not only incredibly talented, they are a joy to work with from beginning to end.

They did a gluten free, dairy free and vegetarian menu for my daughters birthday. It was fantastic. On time, set up and clean up was perfect, lovely staff. Bay Laurel was absolutely wonderful to work with.

BESTROASTPIG… PERIOD! They put on a pop-up event at Relish in H’Burg for restaurant week and just knocked ‘em out da box! We’ve traveled as far as Bali for what’s considered some of the best roast pig in the world. If I knew I could’ve stayed here, had what was hands down much better and not crossed the international date line I would’ve been very happy! The crispiest and tastiest skin ever!

Chris is an extremely talented chef. Everything he does is top notch. From gastro pub stuff, to high end seasonal cuisine. I highly recommend his chipotle chicken sliders with cilantro and queso fresco… Off the hook. He is also a ton of fun to be around. I’m hoping for a restaurant from him in the future.

We recently hosted a 40th birthday party and had Christopher of Bay Laurel Culinary cater it for us. WOW! Everything was amazing and beyond what we had hoped for. The menu was delicious! The food just kept coming out. It was staged beautifully. There was not one guest at the party that did not rave about the food. Christopher was a pleasure to work with — extremely responsive, fun and easy going. He always replied in a timely manner and followed up our event with a phone call the next day for any feedback. Christopher recently catered a dinner that I attended at ITK Culinary. I was among major foodies — pros and tough critiques of food & wine. Hands down, all of us unanimously agreed that Christopher made the best pork dish we’ve ever had — EVER! EVER! EVER! I can’t believe how moist and tender it was. My husband and I have been raving about it since then. Christopher was friendly, very approachable, and generous with sharing his knowledge. He’s someone I’d recommend for any catered event of yours.

I had the pleasure of tasting Christopher’s food last summer backstage at the Greek Theatre and first fell in love with his guacamole!!! uhhhn!(«Organic Dry Farmed Guacamole with Cumin and Black Pepper Chips»). I basically took a spoon to the bowl and disappeared with the rest of it so no one else could have any!!!(sorry everyone!) Then I fell for his little shrimp sandwiches(«Bay Shrimp Rolls with Lemon Aioli, Celery Seed and Smoked Paprika»), his awesome black bean tostadas(Chorizo and Black Bean Tostadas with Hearts of Romaine and Queso Fresco) and then washed it all down with this refreshing chilled hibiscus drink(«Hibiscus and Guava Cooler with Lisbon Lemon»). Soooo goooood! And the spread never ended! Each show Christopher had a totally different menu with all fresh local ingredients. Amazing to say the least. So I then decided to ask Christopher to cater a meal for a very well– known and demanding world music artist(who shall remain nameless) down the hill at Zellerbach Hall — she wanted a very particular menu below cooked to order and I knew he could do it. From her catering rider: «Everything has to be well seasoned and spiced(garlic, onions, green & red pepper, spices, hot pepper, laurel) WITHOUTANYFAT.» Plus, there is a specific menu listed for each day of the week and our show was on a Thursday… here is the menu request for that day: Salad with lettuce and beetroots(well cooked) + tomatoes (Dressing: salt, pepper, olive oil, balsam vineagar) Chicken noodle spicy soup with rice Beans with fresh tomato spicy sauce(non sweet) Grilled Lamb Chops And here is what Christopher made for her(and an entourage of 16 other people!!): Wild Arugula Salad with Roasted Chiogga Beets w/Heirloom Tomatoes Chicken Soup with Gypsy Peppers, Vermicelli and Rice Blue Lake Beans with Cumin Spiked Tomato Sauce and: GRILLEDLAMBCHOPSWITHLAVENDERINFUSEDSEASALT!!! (and he cooked all those chops on his portable grill in a little room under the stage and made everyone in the theater want to eat them up, yum!) The entire company was so impressed with the food they had that night. It turns out they never actually had such a tasty meal at a gig that followed the rider… apparently they usually just get some po-dunk salty carry-out crap from the local Chinese or Italian places… I’m so happy we could give them a little home-made love from Bay Laurel! Christopher is also such a pleasure to work with, so fun and friendly, and he made everything really easy for me. I highly recommend Christopher and Bay Laurel Culinary, especially if you want to promote local sustainable agriculture and have a lot of love and care go into the food you are providing to your guests.
