I’ve attended 3 private group sessions here where we make our own meals and eat together and every time it has been an enjoyable experience. We had a group of about 20 and they had 4 or 5 chefs or others working with us and helping us make the food or providing guidance. The food was delicious(rib eye, twice baked potatoes, cookies, carrots, tomato soup, creamed spinach, string beans, mushrooms, mini cheesecakes, and biscuits-I think that’s everything). It is super fun too!

I love this place! Everything you need ANDMORE! The cashier, Ming, was super helpful and friendly. I definitely recommend coming here for any of your kitchen needs!

This is just the coolest place. Even if you’re not a die-hard cook there are just aisles and aisles of cool gadgets, small applicances, beautiful cutlery, china, picnic stuff, etc., etc. Plan to spend quite some time here!

Great classes! Fantastic night out — My husband and I took the Couples’ Cooking Class and we had a blast. The food was OUTSTANDING! Everything was clean, there were several instructors for 10 people, we learned a lot and the recipes were delicious and doable. This is a total win. I’m so glad we did it. If you’re looking for a different type of date night, or want to update your kitchen skills, I highly recommend CC. And it was very reasonably priced.

My husband and I went into Chef Central looking for a rack for pots and pans. We had no clue what we were doing, and every staff member was so helpful and knowledgeable in helping us select a rack. We didn’t have a ton of time to spare, but if we did, we could have easily spent an hour looking at all the fun and interesting things in the store. Great place.

Plenty of tools and gadgets for your kitchen though a bit pricey. We have yet to face any bad attitudes from the staff members as the other Unilocalers had mentioned here. We would also like to see some reviews on the cooking class too, must check one out one day.

Horrible return policy. Was recommended a product which was horrible. Had receipt and they do not accept returns. Avoid at all costs

Really love this place. Was hoping to see some reviews on their cooking school?!? If any Unilocalers have gone to classes there I would like to know about them. Cooking schools are limited in NJ and I am not a fan of the popular one in Westfield. Hence was happy to see this place had a school. For some reason, I didn’t notice it on previous trips. In regard to service, there was a young guy that was over the top friendly. Prices seemed reasonable for what we got and looked at.

Great store for a foodie and a professional Chef!!! The help is almost always informative or will at least get someone who is knowledgeable. Pricing is good compared to other cook stores!

Phone manners are HORRIBLE! I called to inquire about a product and the man who answered the phone said that he would check on the particular product. He came back on the phone and clearly misunderstood my question. As I tried to politely describe what it actually was that I wanted, He, in a very rude tone(but did manage to call me «Sir») cut me off and told me that(paraphrasing) «we don’t have what you’re looking for, you can go to our website and view all of our products». Anyway, after viewing their website, I did find the product but needless to say, I will not be purchasing the product from this store. Absolutely no reason to be rude, none!

Disappointed I just learned of this place! They have EVERYTHING. it appears that they also have a space for cooking demonstrations in the back. Only feedback would be friendlier employes; everyone seemed miserable!

I cant possibly articulate how much I love this store. I can’t walk in here without spending a shitload of $ I dont have to spend. LOL If theres something you need for your kitchen, from supplies to delux batter mixes, sauces, and gravys… and espresso machines… they either have it here, or you don’t need it!!! This is a great store to browse. Tucked away in a strip mall away from the big malls in paramus, its always nice and chill and no chaotic parking lot.

Lots of items for gifts; you can pick up inexpensive unique tools that are fun to give. Also they have good selection of condiments and food items for cooking that you don’t find in local grocery stores.

Just about everything you would ever need in the kitchen, bar or outdoor grill but it comes at a premium… In this age of Chef as celebrity and kitchen as stage, Chef Central has identified it’s target demographic accurately. The home cook with ample resources and the bored housewife with the trophy kitchen. All the big names and bright, shiny gadgets are featured and merchandized to appeal to the monied set as their prices are about 20% above trade. I love to browse Chef Central’s overstuffed aisles and showcase what I need as I trip over gaggles of retirees, wannabe Julia’s and Jacques or harried soccer moms with good intentions in the kitchen but definitely not sales help as they are few and far between. I like Chef Central but alas I have neither the resources nor the inclination to support their mark up.

We love Chef Central. We buy everything we need for our kitchen and then some from this location. We have never visited a Chef Central until one of our neighbors had recommended it to us and we are glad we did. The product line is amazing and the staff is so friendly and knowledgable. Try the Sriracha Peas. They are my favorite hidden gem at Chef Central. purchased our Nespresso machine, juicer, food processor, and tons of supplies. This place has everything. Ask for Tim. He’s a great man and if he doesn’t know about the product… they don’t carry it.

Do not go here if you need help with things, their customer service is atrocious. The greeter at the door picks and chooses who they say hi to. Cashiers, some of them, are rude. I like to grill so this place is high on my list for grilling items and also hard to find sauces. There’s only so much you can do with what you find on the supermarket shelves. They do have some excellent deals from time to time, but know what you’re getting yourself into. Do your research ahead of time so you don’t have to interact with their staff.
