Gail Jewelers

Six years ago I had a ring made for my wife for her fiftieth birthday. I supplied the the center diamond and Gail’s supplied the rest. It turned out beautiful. I paid them over $ 5000.00 to have the ring made. My wife only wore the ring on weekends. During the course of owning the ring we were constantly replacing stones that came out. Because we lived in Northern California we never once asked Gail’s to replace a single stone. It finally got to a point where the ring was not wearable: the prongs were sticking out and we counted 17 missing or chipped stones. I brought it to three different reputable Jewelers in the bay area and was told by each jeweler that the ring was made incorrectly. I decided to have my mother– in –law bring the ring to Gail’s to show them the condition. She showed the ring to Gail herself. Her response was to put all the blame on my wife that she totally abused the ring and took no responsibility for the condition. My mother-​in –law was taken aback by her statement, not once did she apologize, or offer some sort of compromise in dealing with the issue. After leaving the store my mother-​in-​law took the ring to a fourth well –known jeweler in the desert. He also couldn’t believe how the ring looked and agreed that it was made incorrectly, and was also taken aback how Gail dealt with the situation.
Think twice about spending your money at Gail’s Jewelers. Their customer service is very below par.
