This was the best food we had in the Desert on our 3 day trip. Amazing and friendly service from Diana. We do love the Crepes!!! We’ll come back again!!! Thank you much

This is a hidden gem, location is excellent and all the food is made from scratch! No matter what you try everything is delicious! From organic coffee to a espresso martini with a full bar wine and beer with some local taps you must check this place out! Family owned right here in the desert and friendly service you can’t go wrong I promise!!! Best part is they serve breakfast or dinner anytime of the day!!!

I am appalled at the service I received at this restaurant. Started off ordering drinks with my friend, a lemon drop and strawberry daiquiri. The lemon drop was full of ice cubes and tasted terrible. The daiquiri was PURESUGAR. We watched the bar tender poor half a bottle of artificial sugar in this drink. Took forever to get our food and had to ask multiple waiters to check on our food. The waiters are so awkward and unprofessional. I was shocked by the terrible service, terrible food and sad to have wasted so much money upon the worst meal I’ve had on el paseo. Upon receiving the check, the waiter asked us to sign the tip before we had our card run. When we asked him why, he said he didn’t want to have to spend the time running the card again. It left us very uncomfortable as they did not deserve a bit of a tip after that experience. Please save your time and money and go to tommy Bahamas.

terrible service. ordered two drinks that were watered down and tasted terrible. Inexperienced bartenders and waiters. Very unprofessional and asked if my food was coming after waiting 40 min for one appetizer. Had to ask for the check and waited another 20 min while the employees hung around and talked to each other. Food was nothing special. Staff is under trained and the manager was no where to be found.

Awesome food, awesome staff, and awesome beer on tap selection. Good place to meet for drinks or dessert. Patio with heaters and fountain for a good setting. Can’t wait to go back

So my two stars are for the food which is pretty good and I like that it’s usually a little quieter spot. Only once that I’ve been here did I get okay service. The service is always a problem. If you’re not forgotten then you’re treated like you’re a bother. Today was no exception. We were seated with a male and he seemed promising but after he took our orders he was never to be seen again. The lady then dropped our food and finished our experience. She was never warm or friendly. She plopped down our plates and never once asked us if we were happy or needed anything(refills, napkins). We paid our check and left without being acknowledged. I then observed her being passive aggressive to a male guest who walked in and sat down not realizing they like you to wait to be seated. There were only two other tables with customers, mine was one. She then proceeded to move the sign in the walk way so he could see her doing that. Just rude and once again the customer was a bother. I want to love this place but unfortunately the service will make me never return.

Love love LOVE this place!!! Super cute and the food is fresh and yummy. It’s very California chic. Perfect place for a sweet little date with your love or a girls lunch. The Americano is fab and the scrambles are HUGE.

We always enjoy sitting on the patio on a warm afternoon sipping wine and people watching. That being said our last visit was really a bad one because the waitress was so inattentive. She was polite and upbeat but distracted by what appeared to be her boyfriend and actually sat at his table while we were waiting to be served. Also they were out of eggs and champagne and with a market right behind them it would seem logical they would send someone to buy some more eggs and champagne to serve their customers. It was so frustrating it made me want to holler DOYOURJOB! I expect better from Fix

The two stars are for the ambiance, which is great. But the coffee isn’t great, and the service was awful. The guy working here couldn’t have been ruder. As much as I liked the ambience, I wouldn’t return.

Just decided after waiting 15 minutes to be acknowledged by a server to go somewhere else. Sunday morning, not very busy, and watched both servers come out and tend to other tables while completely ignoring myself and my pregnant fiancé. No greeting, no waters, nothing. We had heard good things when this place was the Pastry Swan but will likely not return after this experience.

I think this place deserves more props than what it has. The only thing I would really change about it, is the name. I don’t come here for desert at all. Its a fantastic place for all meals. Solid brunch menu, great sandwiches and salads for lunch and a variety of tapas and a bar for dinner. They have a great shaded outdoor area with a fountain and a view of the mountains and a cool bar inside. We usually end up here anytime we are at El Paseo. Forget waiting at the popular breakfast place across the street. This place is just as good, with a better view and vibe.

Came here for breakfast one morning and the place was empty, which was perfect for me, because I was in a hurry. The service was very quick and I was in and out in 30 min. This is a great place to get breakfast in the morning, if you are on the way to work, but have extra time to spare to sit down. I had the steamer crêpe, which was pretty good. The crêpe had soft boiled eggs inside, which I was expecting to ooze out when I cut into the crêpe. To my disappointment, the heat from the crêpe cooked the egg through, leaving just a slight ooze. I still scarfed down the whole thing, as it tasted great. Overall, the food is decent, yet kinda pricey for what I got. It was a fresh change from the fast food breakfast places around. I would definitely consider coming back again to try their desserts.

The bartender was negligent to take part on order properly. He took our order and then went on break. We have the barbecue chicken Pizza which came out cold and the pepperoni Pizza that came out awesome. It was a busy day but they should have had extra staff.

Such a cute place to grab a coffee/cocoa and a dessert! We stopped in one night after dinner and sat at the bar to enjoy cupcakes and hot cocoa. Absolutely a great way to close our an amazing day!

We came here for breakfast, because the place seems nice and there was no wait. The main issue with Fix is the slow service and slow food service. I don’t blame the staff, as they seem friendly and always busy, but lack of staffing. The food was fine, but not exceptional by any means. Considering the lack of restaurants around Palm Desert with any quality, it’s not bad. Would I run back to this place? Probably not. Would I grab a bite, if I was hungry and nothing else was available? Probably.

Please note this review is only for their bar. We didn’t order any food. I love the indoor/outdoor bar. Cute atmosphere with the fountain outside. We just had a couple of glasses of wine during their happy hour. We weren’t hungry, but the food looked good.

I like the Fix a lot. It’s the sort of place I might find in L.A.: contemporary, funky, quirky but nice interior and covered partially-covered patio on the side with a communal table. They have a full inside bar, with outside bar seating for four that reminds me of a swim-up bar at a beach hotel. I think they are mostly known for their bakery, but I started coming in for the happy hour and the breakfasts. Most recently, we sat on the patio at the communal table, and ordered a very good and reasonably priced omelette(although the $ 3.50 egg white charge was a bit much). The only issue? INSANELY slow – 20 minutes to get a cappuccino, and 50 minutes to get breakfast. They warned us the kitchen was backed up, but based on the amount of people there, it shouldn’t have been. But we made friends by passing along the incorrect coffee drink they delivered while we waited for a replacement. IMHO, I chalk the service up to it being Black Friday morning, so maybe some of the staff called in sick to attack the electronics piles at Target.
