Homemade guacamole and salsa is amazing. Staff is *extremely* friendly and helpful. Don’t let the bare exterior deter you, this is a must go to.

Absolutely one of the best home cooked dining experiences in Palm Desert. Sadly, the owner told us today was their last day at their location due to an abrupt change to their lease. Hopefully they find a new place soon, as Palm Desert is truly missing out.

Nice comfy place. The owners are always here, they are extremely nice and attentive. The menu has great comfy food and incredibly low prices. If they only had a beer license so that I could enjoy my lunch with and ice cold beer, then I would give them 5 stars instead of 4.

Love this place! The staff is super friendly. One of the best omelettes that I’ve ever had. My daughter loved the pancakes.

What a gem. Found this wonderful place driving around and searched on Unilocal for a local lunch place… and it was a pleasant surprise. All the food was really delicious and fresh… gyro, tuna melt with perfect fries, veggie omelet and Bobby’s omelet. The service was friendly, fast and the food was served hot. Not to mention the coffee that was perfect. Thank you Nick!

OMG. I just ate the best omelet of my life! I am so thankful for Unilocal, otherwise I would never had known of Bobby’s Café & Grill. It is just 8 miles from the resort my wife and I are staying at this weekend but it’s not the kind of place a visitor to the city would notice. Bobby’s outstanding Unilocal reviews got me to notice. The breakfast menu is quite extensive and very reasonably priced. I had the Bobby’s Special Omlete: bacon, tomatoes, cheese, and avocado. It was so tasty and the texture was creamy — very unlike the over cooked, rubbery egg that so many places serve. The hash browns were perfectly cooked and delicious — no need for catsup. The young man swho served us(the owners son-in– law I believe) was very polite and attentive. Bobby’s was the highlight of our weekend getaway. I can’t wait to return to Palm Desert.

Great breakfast spot! When my sister-in-law called to make reservations for our big group for a Saturday morning breakfast she encountered a very friendly Greek man who struck up a conversation with her she admitted to not having wanted to get off the phone because he was so warm. When we arrived the staff was going out of their way to be accommodating. They had intended to have our table ready but a group had paid and lingered for over an hour so the apologetic staff were scrambling to put tables together for us. We didn’t mind at all and the entire wait from our arrival to our being seated wasn’t even 10 minutes. We were a big, loud complicated group, but the staff didn’t miss a beat with our complicated orders. I ordered the veggie omelet but asked them to add feta cheese and it wad DELICIOUS! We were only in Palm Desert for the weekend, but when we got home Sunday evening we went to Sprouts and I bought some Feta because I know I’m going to crave that omelet so at least now I can try to make it even though I don’t think I’m ever going to be able to rival Bobby’s omelet. I guess we’ll just have to make more frequent trips out to the desert or plan to retire there :) This place was the perfect spot for our family to have breakfast. Parking was easy and there was zero pretention it was just about the food and people.

Good food, good value. Don’t expect fancy — it’s not. But the prices are great and the food is quite tasty. The manager has to be either an owner, or otherwise loves his job, as he never stopped hustling throughout breakfast, from taking orders, to refilling napkins, to pouring coffee. A nice, casual place to eat, that I highly recommend. Family friendly as well.

Stopped in for breakfast on Friday. It is s small place in a strip shopping center. It is very clean and it looks almost brand new. They mentioned their two year anniversary will be in October. I enjoyed Banana Nut Pancakes and my wife had the Bobby’s Special Omelet. We were impressed but I had to take half of the cakes home for a second meal. Two people could actually split the cakes adding a side of Bacon or Sausage. We brought our own coffee in our traveling mugs and we had water as well. We were the first ones there at about 8:45 but more started streaming in about 9:30. The price was right too.($ 21 including tip) We will come back next week.

So. As promised. … My wife n I went back. The place was substantially busier than previous day.(A true test of breakfast delivery skill.) Nick wasn’t in yet. Didn’t really matter. His wife remembered us! And she said«Hey! Nick saw your Unilocal! It made him smile!!» Ok. That tells me a few things. 1. They like and pay attention to each customer(I only told him my name once and mentioned I’d found place on Unilocal.2. They look here often.(Why? DUH! It’s instant customer feedback and obviously they CARE!!) 3. They at some point talked about the fact that while they have a good Unilocal rating. They liked MY review. Meaning they discuss service and customer expectations DAILY.(Pretty cool) So. Today we ordered the pancake sandwich.(don’t trip people. It’s not a pancake hoagie!!) it comes as a set of cakes(ohhhh. Yummy fluffy snooze button syrup covered pillows!!) They both welcome you to lay your head on them and eat them with syrup. The sausages are snappy and bomb diggity. Eggs. Are happy and fluffy and you know the chicken could only be free range living a great life. My eggs were again poached perfectly(think this is «no big deal»? Order poached eggs at the same place twice !! Today as we left. They offered me a coffee to go. First thought was«why? I’ve had PLENTY of hot coffee. I still said«yes please». Dude!!! I live in San Francisco Bay Area. I got a 2 $ cup of coffee FORFREE!!! TOGO!!! These people get it! They’re nice. Genuine. Sincere and are trying to live the American dream. Don’t be a party pooper! Come here. Eat. Be happy. Come back. Don’t become old n grumpy!

We stopped here after walking around the Living Desert and being hungry, we wanted to stop in for a quick bite. The place is a typical diner, not bad. The waitress didn’t get waters for my daughter so I had to request one, but it wasn’t a big deal, since my daughter was sharing my water in the meantime. We put in our orders, I got the turkey club sandwich, my husband got the tuna melt and my daughter had the chicken tenders with fruit. The food was a bit pricey for what we got, but I do understand people have to make a living. Food wasn’t bad, my bread tasted a bit stale(even when toasted). We had to stand in line to get up and pay, which I wouldn’t normally complain about but I had two toddlers, so getting up to pay while trying to keep my kids at the table and eating their meals, wasn’t easy. Anyway, we came here for a quick stop so we weren’t expecting anything luxury.

Came here before checking out for the weekend. The place was unusually empty for a Sun morning. We ordered the Veggie Omelet, Bobby’s Special Omelet, side of bacon and substituted one toast for a pancake. Our overall experience was very pleasant. The food was prepared just right. My eggs in the omelet was fluffy and not greasy. So unusual to find that in a breakfast joint. Another note, most places top their omelets with a gross amount of cheese. Not here! Their omelets are clean and not smothered with any cheese. Their coffee is good & strong! Just the way coffee should be… I had 5 – 6 cups all throughout breakfast. The waiter was so pleasant, humble & inviting. As we were leaving, he offered to send us off with coffees to-go. We had to decline because not only did we have a whole lot already, but it was getting very hot outside. It was unfortunate to see a few customers come in. This place serves really good breakfast. Seems to be family owned. Boohoo to the commercialized and hip breakfast spots. Give this place a try!

Very friendly service! I had the guacamole burger, which was the best burger I have had in a long time! The ground beef was very good and I could just taste the quality. The guaca was what made the burger near perfect. The fries were also very good and as I dipped them in Heinz my life climaxed! The kids had hotdogs and just loved them!

We did not enjoy this. We left about 10 min ago so I have a fresh memory on everything as I sit here still hungry which never happens to me at breakfast places. We ordered the veggie omelet, breakfast burrito no meat sub avocado, and asked if we could have 1 banana pancake. The trio of pancakes is $ 7.95, but we only wanted one with our(we were assuming) big entrees. The waitress said, of course we can do that. So, the food came and the breakfast burrito was just okay. Very small, but the salsa it came with was the blandest salsa I’ve ever tasted! It didn’t even taste like tomatoes. I don’t think I could make that if I tried. We had to kill it with Cholula. The veggie omelet really sucked. Close to no veggies in the omelet(I’ve included a pic) and no flavor at all. The banana pancake was good. Nothing special but good enough(although the syrup was terrible and cheap tasting). Our bill came to be just under $ 26. So I’m pretty sure we got charged the 7.95 for the one pancake, which would’ve been ok if the waitress informed us it was the same price in the beginning. We ate everything and I’m eating a bagel as I’m typing this. Portions are very very small. Also, the service was not the greatest. I’m not high maintenance about that, but our waitress didn’t check on us once/refill our waters and I had to get up and ask for honey. Would not come back again.

Not high end. More low end. Don’t offer Eggs Benedict. On a busy street/hwy. No ambience. Average food.

My hunny and i stopped for some good food from our trip to another state. Noticed that Unilocal reviews were great and we were eager to try Bobby’s. It’s definitely a small mom and pop shop, which is one of my favorites, they put heart and sweat in their business. We walked on and were greeted by the staff and seated. I chose the gyro sandwich and my hunny got his usual, club sandwich. Our food arrived quickly and my gyro looked ready to be devoured. The lamb was cut fine and spiced perfectly. Onions, tomatoes and sauce to topped it off. The gyro was delicious and the fruit war for and juicy. The club was a monster of a sandwich and it tagged even better, their flavors merried great together. I recommended the food and the service! :-)

Bobby’s is not a place to be ignored. Very accommodating friendly staff and owner. Clean and tons of parking. Four and a half stars on Unilocal brought us to Bobby’s. Their food and service? That’s what made us a fan. First impressions lasts longer they say. I had their special French toast with a side of bacon. Moist. Well prepared. Bacon was cooked right. Crispy. The place is not big but it works! Eat and go!

We happened upon this place as our search for cheap good food through Unilocal led us here. We arrived five minutes before they closed, but we didn’t know that, and the owner welcomed us in, and didn’t even mention the time. In fact, he was just as welcoming to the guests who arrived after us. We got the fresh guacamole burger, and a Greek salad. When I looked at the menu and saw that the Greek salad was served with vinegar, I got a little confused as to me, a Greek salad is served with a lemon vinaigrette, so I asked the owner, and he said they could squeeze fresh lemons on my salad, with olive oil and oregano, which made me very happy. The food arrived promptly, and I loved my salad. My boyfriend got his burger with half fries and half coleslaw. He loved the coleslaw as it had a lot of pineapple in it. The fries were good too, but seemed like they had mixed old and new together. As far as the burger went, I thought the patty was low quality, and the guac needed more acidity and seasoning, and I liked the bread a lot. My boyfriend didn’t quite enjoy the bread though. With all that said, however, we both really did enjoy our visit. In a place like Palm Desert where you can’t find cheap food very easily, Bobby’s offers pretty good food for a very affordable price.
