Really LOVED the food here! The staff was friendly and the price was GREAT! Wonderful pancakes! Wonderful sausage! And the breakfast quesadilla was DELICIOUS!

We found this tiny gem in route home from Durango — and were desperate for some yummy breakfast, we stopped here. Here goes: 1. The joint is small and although it looks decent sized, it fills up fast! 2. Food here is great — fresh, homemade and to perfection! I was craving a simple sandwich and it was delicious and totally hit the spot! sausage, egg and cheese on a fresh croissant! mmm! The rest of the family noshed on a variety of pancakes and omlettes and weren’t disappointed! 3. They are severely understaffed here — we weren’t even greeted until we had been standing near the«please wait to be seated» sign for a good 15 minutes. Once we sat down, menu’s arrived but we didn’t receive our coffee until well after 20 minutes and our food long after that. However — just be patient though, it’s worth the wait. 4. Price isn’t bad for all you get! HOWEVER — this town is a little deserted and apparently all the locals come here… and STARE at passerby’s’. awkward.

Absolutely terrible. There was only 1 server on a Sunday afternoon so they didn’t come take our order for over 30 minutes, forgot the side order of toast and didn’t refill the drinks until we asked 3 people. The food was mediocre at best.

Outstanding in price, taste, presentation, and service. A hidden gem in the mine of restaurants in Pagosa Springs. The owner/server and her staff couldn’t be any nicer and the cook or cooks sure know their business.

Awesome place! Extremely friendly staff! We had biscuits and gravy which was beyond delicious! Waitress said we didn’t fit the Parelli type which absolutely made our day! Definitely a return visit will happen.

Worst service I have ever had. Yes, it was busy, but they had three people working up front and a whole kitchen staff. The problem with this place is it is very unorganized. Out of the three people working the front only one person was taking orders and passing out food. Two of them were wandering around looking for a job to do. I am completely baffled by the lack of service. Do not come here if it is a Saturday.

Nice breakfast spot. Be prepared to wait after 9am. Standard breakfast 2 eggs with bacon hit the spot and the pancake is huge. Staff is friendly with people constantly ready to fill up your coffee. Will try lunch next time.

Sunday breakfast today was good. Service was very slow, finally the waitress told us they were having computer problems and could not get her orders entered. Too bad they didn’t have a backup system. But they gave us a 20% discount.

Our server Dana was awesome and very good at what he does The wine and dinner and dessert was exceptional and sitting on the patio was amazing! I felt like I was in Europe and will deffinetly come back when I’m in town. I had the lobster tail and steak and it was to die for and my girlfriend got the pasta because she is a vegetarian and it was also great! All around great experience

You do get sat right away, at a dirty table. We ordered our food which took 40mins to get! 6 tables 7 including ours had no food. Food was subpar at the least. I advise not eating at Café Colorado. I have seen truck stops cleaner then this place. The bathrooms don’t even have soap. Just really filthy and poor quality service and food!

My family of five were seated quickly in a booth of our choice with a chair at the end. The hostess was very friendly and got our drink order out fast. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive and took our order quickly. We placed huge orders that included the four egg omelets with 5 fillings of your choice with hash browns and toast, biscuit, or pancake; biscuits and gravy, bacon, hash browns, two eggs over medium; country style eggs Benedict with two biscuits, sausage, and hash browns. The food came out within 15 minutes of ordering and everything was delicious! We will be back.

Not so good. Didn’t have that home style zest we were hoping for. We tried lunch there too and was disappointed. With the exception of the refried beans my wife had with her burrito, it was all bland. Service was ok but understaffed. Thought the cashier was wrong counting her tip money at the counter. Very tacky if you ask me. The back emergency door slams so hard!!! it was like a bomb going off. They should get that fixed before some old coot drops a duce. I won’t be back for awhile until I hear better things.

OK breakfast place. The breakfast burrito was odd — the green chili sauce was more like gravy with green chili added. If you want a real breakfast burrito, wait till you get to New Mexico.

This little café in Pagosa Springs is awesome! Their breakfast is excellent down home cooking. I got their special that had two eggs, any style, served with bacon, hash browns and one of their to die for pancakes. I loved every bit of this tasty breakfast. The atmosphere is quaint and cute. Service was great! We didn’t have to wait long for our food and they kept our drinks refilled without even asking. Keep in mind that they are only open 6:00 to 2:00 everyday. We will be back soon!

I had breakfast here with my girlfriend on 05÷07÷14 and our wait staff was Tina. She was very attentive and just had the best personality. Very sweet. We had omelets and they were cooked just right. I said to my GF that this was possibly the best breakfast I had had in two weeks! Dee-lish.

The breakfast here was ok, but not spectacular. Service started a little slow, but as I sat there for ten minutes with no offer of coffee, I reminded them I ordered one, and the two ladies started to be a little more attentive after I made my presence known. I ordered a sopapilla, but got a burrito instead. I went with it, life could be much worse. I lived for 6 yrs in Tucson, so my taste for Mexican food is above average(however, purists will insist that breakfast burritos aren’t traditional.) One thing I really look for in any type of Mexican-ish food is the tortilla. Unfortunately, most places I’ve eaten at in Colorado use those chewy, 30 ingredient mass produced patties, and sadly Café Colorado does as well. A real flour tortilla only has five ingredients, flour, water, baking powder, salt and fat. With my tortilla rant over, the chile was ok, I like Durango Diners much better though. The hash browns were crispy, but I suspect they were frozen at one point in time. Coffee, well, it was black at least and not transparent as some places I’ve been. Overall, with only one experience, I can’t fully expound on how good or bad this place is, but for one breakfast, I will tell you I’ve had much worse(and much better too).

This place did not impress. Dirty floors and frozen food. Green Chili everyone said was good was so peppery, I could barely eat it. I wouldn’t go back.

It’s a little café in a strip mall just as you come into Pagosa from Fairfield. I ordered what the hostess recommended; the enchiladas with eggs smothered in green chili, served with hashbrowns and pinto beans. Muey excellante!!! Her recommendation was perfect! My husband had the meat omelette — liked it a lot too. Good place for breakfast.
