I stopped in here for lunch the other week while working up in Pacific Palisades. It’s a quick fix when you’re hungry and looking for a place to grab a fast meal. All the dishes are prepared in advance and you have your choice of various Chinese items as entrees for your one or two combo meal. I usually get a combo of fried rice and chow mein while requesting there be a little bit more rice than noodles. This go around I had the broccoli beef and my usual go-to choice Kung Pao chicken. As usual, the KPC was a little oily and greasy but that’s to be expected in fast food Chinese. The beef broccoli for my other entrée was decent even for sitting under the heat lamps for a bit. The broccoli was actually still a tad crispy except the beef was a little tough to chew. Staff was mediocre. I had to ask for utensils after being handed my order on a tray since after a quick survey of the room, I saw there were no utensils stations around. I think it was the manager who served me too so weird that he would forget that. You have to ask for extra napkins as well since there are no napkin stands around. You also have to ask for hot sauce that come in those plastic packs since there are no condiments on the tables or at a station. Definitely not my first choice when I’m craving Chinese cuisine but does the job in a jiff when you’re desperate.

In the land of $ 2m starter homes why does this exist here? To satisfy the palettes of teenagers longing for copious amounts of MSG and fictitious Chinese dishes? This is not only an insult to the community it’s an insult to the long cultural heritage of Chinese food.

Panda Express in the Palisades is actually terrible. They are always out of dishes and frequently ask customers to wait 10 – 15 minutes to get their food. Additionally, the location is understaffed and not particularly clean. Last time I was there, they were out of every dish I wanted so I had to wait 10 minutes for them to make one thing I was planning on eating. I ended up leaving with one thing I wanted and had a pretty mediocre lunch. Also, I asked for half mixed vegetables and half chow mein, but in reality they gave me 90% chow mein and 10% vegetables. Also, they barely gave me any of the entrée I waited 10 minutes for and overloaded my plate with chow mein noodles. Another thing that really grossed me out was that they replaced the remnants of the dish they had run out of with the new one, they put the disgusting scraps from the previous batch in the new one. I understand that they are trying not to be wasteful, but if they were unwilling to serve me the scraps in the first place, do not mix them into a new batch of the dish. I definitely do not plan to visit Panda Express again.

I am not going to lie; I really do enjoy the food at Panda Express. Orange flavored chicken, beef with broccoli, mixed vegetables and chow mein — man does it hit the spot. That being said, the service at the Panda Express in the Palisades is absolutely subpar. My girlfriend and I stopped in to get a late lunch only to find that most of the items were out or looked like they had been sitting out for hours. The woman behind the counter said that we could wait for the unavailable items, but that they would take 7 – 10 minutes for the chefs to cook them. Luckily for me they had my typical items ready. For my girlfriend though, since the employee strongly hinted that they would only start cooking the item if she explicitly ordered it, she decided to just order from the food that they had prepared. I ordered a two-item plate and asked for half chow mein and half mixed vegetables as my side andorange flavored chicken and beef with broccoli as my entrees. My girlfriend decided to order a bowl with chow mein and mixed vegetables as the side and beef with broccoli as the entrée. Unfortunately, we both ended up with hardly any of the mixed vegetables, with our sides very heavily consisting of the chow mein. The entrees were good, nothing special, but that’s what you expect. The woman at the counter checked us out easily enough, but I wouldn’t say that she was especially friendly or professional. Parking for this location is pretty easy as there are a number of spots on Monument St. behind Panda Express as well as on Sunset Blvd., right in front of it. Either way, it is an easy location in which to get in and out, but for the slow service and wait-time for un-prepared dishes. Overall, the food is fine — the same as every other typical Panda Express — but the service could definitely be improved. Meh. I’ve experienced better.

Food is the same as every other Panda Express. Short staffed. Food takes forever to get to you. The manager is a lazy ass who talked on the phone for the entire time I was there eating which was over an hour. There was a huge line and didn’t even bother helping the one person at the front. What a shame.

Food is good, They used to be short on staff, they improved on that, I order and asked for chicken teriyaki, They told me there is 8 mints wait time and as soon as it’s ready, they’ll call me, I ate my food after 30 mints I realized they never called me for chicken teriyaki, I asked cashier for the refund, they just gave me the chicken after 30 mints

I have been coming to this Panda Express for years, and have always gotten pleasant, polite, and accommodating service… until today. I had the misfortune of being helped by an employee named Perla, who was easily the rudest person I’ve ever encountered in any type of food establishment. She started out with a scowl when I first walked in, looked completely put out when I asked if an empty tray would be refilled, and seemed highly offended when I commented that the chow mein portion she gave seemed rather small(it barely filled half its container compartment.) I ended up walking out, because I did not want to have any more dealings with her. Not surprisingly, I see there are other bad Unilocal reviews, mentioning her specifically by name. In fairness, I called and spoke with the manager(Nan?) who was very nice, professional, and apologetic. She said she would take some action, which I hope will mean she will be firing Perla. If Perla is still there if/when I return, I will not buy food from there. Surely there must be better employees to find!

I work right across the street .i usually have really good service. Today was different. Perla the girl who rang me up. Was rude and stared me down at the fact that i would not donate my 16 cents of spare change. And its not that i need the 16 cents, but im on a time crunch i need to be in and out. She gave me the most judgemental. I will not be coming back.

Perla was very rude when I decided to change my order from a regular meal to a kids meal, throwing the noodles down and giving me a dirty look and attitude. My food was Luke warn and she barely filled up my container. This was not a pleasant experience for me and I will think twice before coming here again after today. But if your looking for a good teriyaki bowl I highly recommend Jack in the box on sunset and pch! The service is great and the food is hot!

Food isn’t exactly gastronomic but it is a great change of taste to original Chinese food. Isn’t badly priced – got a full meal today for $ 10. Place in particular was clean, servers attentive. they just had a broken down beverage machine so couldn’t get my raspberry tea fix.

I would order their Panda bowl with veggies and mandarin chicken once a month as my only fast food treat. Until one day my coworker showed me a cooked lady bug in his chow mein. If he weren’t such a picky eater that he examines and picks at his food, he might not have even seen it. NEVERAGAIN.

The employee working took 5 minutes to greet me(she was in the back talking to cooks), then asked what I wanted. She barely spoke english, so verifying my order was difficult. My food was meh, it seemed like it had been sitting out a while. I expected something better for being in the Palisades.

The hallmarks of a good fast food spot are taste and consistency. Panda has these in spades. I can’t eat Panda all the time, but sometimes I go through crazy Panda cravings. I am one of those people who gets orange chicken every single time, and I mix it up with my other choice, since I am a two-item combo kind of guy. Panda also has good hot sauce and mustard, which pair well with many of their entrees. This location(all Pandas?) stopped serving hot and sour soup. That was a bummer, but it doesn’t stop me from getting my Panda fix when the spirit strikes me.

I do have to say, if they get anything right here… it is the Eggplant Tofu! Eggplant is cooked perfectly EVERYTIME I get it here. So why just 3 stars? Well, it is Panda Express… so not close to authentic Chinese food and they get another dock for the ridiculous underground parking structure here! Find it and you will see what I am talking about :)

Stopped by and got myself a combo of rice and double mandarin chicken. Place was empty at 10:30 am and I was in and out in a few minutes. I scraped my plate clean lol It was good even tho I wasn’t completely full. I assume when the whole area here is busy you would have to park in the parking spaces across the street. I was able to park in front of the citibank next to panda tho haha
