I feel my friends and I had something to do with this place cutting off the all you can eat sushi lunch special. Four of us sat down and after about 30 minutes of constant eating they took away our menu’s and stopped refilling our water. At a typical sushi place our bill would’ve topped 200 bucks. We continued ordering without menus or water and the following week we returned to find all you can eat was no longer.

Sushi is so so. Owner is same of Haru’s so automatic turn off for me as the owner is extremely rude and unprofessional. No more all you can eat so took away main draw. I’d choose many other options before I’d go back

I am an avid Haru’s patron, so when this location opened under the same ownership I was elated. so much closer to work and home. The description of it may be a bit off from what it actually is, as per previous reviews. If you can get past that, you can experience the excellent service, and appreciate it for what it is. Great sushi, with some really unique rolls to try. Not to mention their new menu they have rolled out with a LOT more options for non-sushi fans.(Im obsessed with the Avocado Salad, as well as the Szechuan Green Beans.)

Contrary to what some of the other posters experienced, my husband and I had a great time and will not hesitate to go back. We were there last Thursday. A friend told us about this place — we go to the owner’s other restaurant, Haru’s, all the time so it was only natural to try this place out. The sushi was fresh and there was a pretty good selection to choose from. While it may not be a popular concept here in the midwest, the“made-to-order” buffet concept is popular in other places such as Vancouver, Canada. The shumai was also good as was the Korean short ribs. We absolutely loved the fried rice! The size of the dishes were also impressive. I almost thought the size of the dishes were too big. I’ve heard stories how the waiters/waitresses messed up the orders but we didn’t experience any of that. We went on a weekday where it wasn’t as busy and we got first rate service. I also like the idea of a «made to order» buffet… it’s was nice to have someone bring me my food as opposed to walking up to the buffet and fighting someone for the food.

I went for lunch and immediately left after looking over the menu. this is not a place for one person to go eat. and the idea that it is a buffet is a little misleading. for 12.95 you can order off the menu and get anything that you want. unfortunately the menu is almost entirely Maki and special rolls. No Nigiri, which is what I want when I eat sushi. though the sign says dim sum, there is no dim sum on the lunch menu, just some tempura items and small plated entrees, which technically are not dim sum. I may try this place with a friend so that I can actually order some food, but for now I have to call false advertising and boo on that. if you want a sushi buffet, go to Kobe in P&L. good stuff for 2 bucks more. **Went by this week and the place is gone. gone gone gone.***
