Been here a few times for ayce lunch. At $ 12.95 it’s an amazing deal! The menu is quite limited compared to the dinner options. However, the options are adequate and all of them are good. The appetizer options are ayce as well(soups, crab rangoon, tempura shrimp, etc…) The service is hit or miss. There’s generally 2 girls working the dining room. One is consistently pleasant. The other it depends on the day. She isn’t rude, but she seems kind of disengaged. However, the sushi is good so I’ll continue to give them my business.

This restaurant represents great quality of Japanese sushi which come out fast and made fresh by the chef. However, the menu is not clear on the quantity of each menu. For example, ordering edamame will confuse you because you have to guess if one edamame means either a cup of edamame or just a piece of it. Also the service is not highly recommended since female servers treat you not the best but just people trying to eat a lot at the restaurant. They need to try to make customers feel welcome and satisfied with the environment as well. I do recommend people to try their food!

Overall it’s a good place to enjoy all-you-can eat sushi. The food is fresh and the ratio of rice to sushi ingredients was very good. All the sushi rolls were unique and delicious. The only thing that I didn’t like much was the the staff. They were not pleasant.

Absolute worst service I’ve ever EVER received. We were greeted after sitting at the table for 17 minutes. I know the exact time Bc I text my friends and 17 minutes later the server asked us for drink order. When she returned she forgot 50% of it. This job isn’t that difficult, you drop off a piece of paper, the table fills out which rolls they’d like. This part she got right. So 20 minutes later comes our sushi. Yet, we have no plates, no chopsticks. So I take it upon myself to get up, walk across the restaurant and go into servers well and find plates, chopsticks and napkins and pass them out to our table myself. Our waters sat empty several times, so once again, I take it upon myself to find the water pitcher and fill up our drinks myself. The tables around us sat dirty for the entire length of our stay. Then when we were finished, we neatly piled up our dirty dishes and waited patiently for our bill… Which she never dropped off. Which wasn’t a huge deal since we were chatting with our guests anyways. Finally we got up and asked for our bill and she huffed and puffed like we were out of line for asking! So all in all I’d say our experience was terrible. The food was above average however(surprise) but the service was AWFUL! Not a single word came out of her mouth to greet us or ask about quality of food or if we needed anything. It was terrible. This little girl needs to take a class on hospitality and how to be kind and approachable because she bombed it. I’m in the service industry so I always give the benefit of the doubt keeping in consideration if the place is busy or if server may be having a bad day, but this girl just was terrible at her job. Period. And for this reason we won’t be back. I wrote a 1 star review. And I will tell 10 of my friends how terrible the service is here. Hope the manager gets his act together and takes action before they have to turn off the lights due to poor customer service.

The filet roll was really good. Egg drop soup, really good. Egg rolls decent. Service, HORRIBLE. I felt like these people hate money. We went in on a Saturday evening, around 8:00. The place wasn’t busy at all, we showed up with 3 of us. Three more were on the way. When we walk in, a sign is taped on the waiting bench«groups of 6 or more must make a reservation». Really? That’s how you operate? So we asked(since there was several tables not being used) if we could get in. The lady told me «it will be at least 20 minutes before we can serve you». Really? You’re dead. They were lazy as hell. The rest of our party arrived. Finally the rude server who didn’t want us there takes our drink order. Then she hands us a piece of paper and a pen and walks away. All the while, it looked like her family of 10 at the table across from us… they were being waited on hand a and foot. Food finally comes. We have no plates, utensils, chop sticks or napkins. What are we to do? Act like cavemen? Irritated that we asked for these things, she finally brings them to us. At the end of the meal, we were waiting for the check. It never shows up. So we all go to the register, where they finally took our money. Needless to say, I won’t be back. Nor did I leave a tip. Gratuity is earned. Not just given away. I tip my barber 100%. I tip at restaurants accordingly to the service. Most of the time it’s at least 30%. Some people just don’t get it. It saddens me to write this review, I’n sure there are great experiences there. I won’t be back to find out. If you’re in this area and you want a great experience. Go to Ra. Skip this hell hole.

This place is really not that bad, but I’m giving it 2 stars based on inconsistent service and inconsistent quality. My husband and I frequent this place quite a bit. You really can’t beat the all-you-can-eat sushi option – it makes spending 5 times the amount at other sushi restaurants seem silly; however, you definitely are compromising on quality. Sashimi is sometimes watery and given that it is all-you-can-eat, slices are small and the fish-to-rice ratio with sushi is a little ridiculous. We’ve had the Chinese food a few times and it is typical Americanized Chinese food – oily and salty. Service is usually slow and, at times, can be unfriendly. I would still recommend giving it a try as it definitely has its high moments!

My cousin has been raving about this place for quite some time. He loves going to lunch here because it is such a good deal. When we got there and saw the menu, we definitely understood what he meant! $ 12.95 for AYCE sushi? Most of the other lunch items were between $ 6 – 10. We went with 1AYCE sushi, salmon teriyaki bento, and triple delight lunch. My kids really liked the salmon teriyaki. The crab rangoon that came with the lunch was pretty good but we didn’t care for the spring roll too much. The only downside with AYCE lunch sushi is that the choices are very limited. There were mainly basic rolls and 4 specialty rolls that are offered at this time. I ended up trying the Calamari roll, shrimp tempura roll and I cant remember the other roll but it had tuna and white fish. All of them were pretty good. We will definitely have to try to come back during dinner for the AYCE sushi.

Service is extremely slow and staff is not friendly what so ever. Ordered simple sushi rolls and pad Thai and took almost 30 minuets to get my food. Waitress was extremely rude. There was a problem with one of my sushi rolls and she refused to take it back because«I already ordered it» she even originally told me she didn’t know if she could add cream cheese to a simple roll, even for the normal extra charge. Will not be coming back here ever again.

Don’t let«all you can eat sushi» scare you away — this place is great. The service is always just slightly slow, but you usually get everything you order. We have eaten at some very expensive sushi restaurants, and this one is really just as good as those. Definitely worth a stop if you love sushi, a full belly and your wallet!

I have eaten sushi throughout the country. I always come home to Asian Palace and enjoy every visit. It is a family owned, local establishment. The flavor, presentation, and temperature are perfect every time. The menu is loaded with sushi, Japanese, and Chinese items. Our family eats at Asian Palace a couple of times per month. Trust me, try Asian Palace.

Great options here! Choose a meal from the menu and it will include a bowl of soup, and a crab rangoon & springroll.(I love when you get both and don’t have to choose!) Or choose to make a meal of several sushi rolls and it will include soup and salad. Or if you are really hungry choose the all you can eat sushi option. Rolls are freshly made and brought to your table. Just make sure you really mean it as they will charge you per piece left behind. The sweet and sour soup was delicious! Sushi was fresh and cold. I had tuna, salmon and shrimp tempura rolls, all delicious. I’ll have to look more carefully next time and see what options they offer for the more exotic eaters… like me! Several in our party orderd the Beef lo mein, it was a generous portion and very tasty. Each took home a to go box with enough for a second meal. I found it funny how they have a sign in the lobby asking you to make reservations for more than 4 people. We were a group of 4 adults and 2 children(no high chairs needed). We waited about 7 minutes before being seated, which felt odd as the place was only half full. It seemed the staffing was a bit light for a Saturday lunch. I can see why our friends love this place so much! It was time I tried this place! HOTTIP, while you are in the area check out the Amish Furniture store across the street, amazing!

A great all you can eat option with pretty good fish. The food… first, remember it’s all you can eat, so pace yourself. They offer a variety of sashimi(single fish cuts), nigiri(fish cuts on rice), and various rolls. In addition to sushi, they have a selection of appetizers that you can choose from as well — though I would recommend sticking to the sushi items. The fish quality is pretty good, I won’t call it great or the best I’ve had by any means, but for an all you can eat place in the KC, definitely worth it. The venue… it’s a bit far south(for me), but I don’t mind the commute since the food is good and the price is reasonable. The venue can seat quite a few people, and I’ve brought smaller groups of six here with no need for reservations. I’ve never had an issue with service here, but I’m guessing your experiences will vary. Overall… definitely worth it and possibly one of the best value sushi places in KC.

Since our first experience coming to this restaurant the Time has sped up. Also the waitresses seem to be more friendly and eager to serve.

I recently visited Asian Palace with the point of trying the all you can eat sushi option. What a deal! When you get there, they give you a paper to mark how many pieces of what kind of sushi you want. I ending up ordering two plates until I was stuffed. I agree with the other reviews that the second round does take longer to come out than the first, but that gave me time for the first round to digest. They have unlimited appetizers(crab rangoon, egg rolls etc…), sashimi, nigiri, Maki rolls, and other rolls. It’s totally awesome! My only«complaint» would be that I wish they had more variety like sea urchin and salmon egg. But I will definitely be back!

Lunch special is a deal! $ 9 gets you some killer hot & sour soup a couple of egg rolls and a VERY filling main entrée. I couldn’t finish my plate!, and I’m an eater. Plus all the wait staff are tiny, pretty Asian girls!

Eh, unfortunately as the year has gone on, services has taken a very deep slip. I am usually here once a month, and staff do seem rude and not interested in service. On multiple occasions now, the all you can eat sushi order has been mixed up, or I did not receive specific rolls or pieces entirely. The last time we came here, I had ordered 6 crab Rangoon for our party, and was delivered 6 eggrolls. We mentioned this to our waitress, and she very passively aggressively told me that it was my fault for marking egg rolls, when I feel very confident that I had marked the crab Rangoon. I almost feel a sense of shame everytime I eat there, as it seems like they are doing me a favor by serving my party…

Can’t beat an all you can eat Sushi for $ 12.99 during lunch time! We went on a Sunday and it was definitely a great choice for lunch! Best Bang for your buck! Other AYCE sushi places cost more than this ridiculously low price! The AYCE works by filling out a check list of food items that range from appetizers like, egg drop soup, crab ranggoons, BBQ chicken sticks, gyoza… then you can check off all the sushi that you want! Great selection, while none of the super special rolls or sashimi are on the list, noteable mentions are the New York Roll which is like a Vegas Roll(DEEPFRIEDSUSHIGOODNESS) and many common rolls! It is a great place to eat with friends… there’s just something about the social factor of sharing plates full of sushi… just brings happiness to my heart! Lol I love Sushi and they may not be the the most special sushi in the world… they are a great bargain price to hungry sushi lovers that don’t want to spend over a hundred dollars on one meal! So come on and eat at Asian Palace for a budget lunch gem in Kansas! Happy Eating!

So, since my last review, in the last 2 months I have eaten at this restaurant about 10 times. I ordered takeout a second time, I took my family there for my birthday, my mom fell in love with it so we went there for Mother’s Day, and my boyfriend and I just ordered dinner for tonight. This place is incredible. I have never been disappointed. The best General Tso’s chicken I’ve ever had. It’s so crispy and succulent. The sauce isn’t too spicy, but that’s okay; the other flavors make up for it. And even though they use chicken thighs, it doesn’t taste like mystery meat like other places I’ve tried. Best hot and sour and egg drop soup. I’ve done they’re all you can eat sushi and it’s deliciously fresh. Their pickled ginger is it die for. Oh and their gyoza, just shut up right now and go try it. Their service is also fantastic. They have the same waitresses there and they are all so sweet. When my family and I went on Mother’s Day, we chose to sit in the largest booth they have there. Me, being incredibly indecisive, moved spots and my family around about five times. After about five minutes, our waitress came up and said jokingly, «I see we’re finally settled here». It made my freaking day lol. I just love this place. You need to go check it out.

The parking was plentiful and there were not a lot of people here around 6:30pm on a Saturday. I met with my Foodspotting group to eat some sushi and there were 9 of us. The restaurant was bright and there were a number of booths along the wall. We all decided to do the all you can eat sushi for $ 21.95 per person. There was a note on the menu that you will be charged $ 1 for every piece of sushi left over and there was no sharing(probably with people that didn’t order the all you can eat sushi. The list of sushi was small but still good to choose from. I chose the Filet Mignon, the KU, Volcano, and Sex on Beach rolls. I added the Hot and Sour soup, too. All of us put in our orders at the same time. We waited a few minutes before the soup or salad came. The Hot and Sour soup was good and it was a long time since I tasted good Hot and Sour soup. Afterwards, we waited a long time for all of our sushi to come out. There were only three sushi makers so I’m sure they were also working on the rest of the tables. I think there were only like two waitresses and it was packed later in the night. It was probably because the college basketball games were shown on two of their TVs. The sushi looked good and almost everybody took pictures. The Filet Mignon was my favorite roll out of the four I ordered. I don’t remember if I had something like that at other sushi places, but it was definitely one of those memorable rolls in my opinion. The KU roll was not bad and it looked like there was a nacho chip stuck in it but it wasn’t. lol The Volacno roll was good and might be spicy to some even though each roll only had a dot of hot sauce. Last but not least, the Sex on Beach rolls were delicious and would recommend it if you like tempura. I was pretty full after I finished everything but if I had room, then I would have ordered the Filet Mignon roll again. Everything tasted fresh to me so that’s good. Good sushi here and I wouldn’t mind coming back.
