Gluten Free is NOT their specialty. We were disappointed that they only have 1GF flavor per day. The flour mix they use tastes like tin. The service was decent, but the GF cakes lacked. Sorry, won’t be back until they change their recipe!

Cute place. We got a POG flavored cupcake and a Peanut Butter chocolate chip one. Pog cupcake was ok, somewhat moist. I just didn’t care for the frosting. Peanut butter chocolate chip was dry and the frosting was almost like the texture and consistency of a peanut butter cookie. Very hard almost rock like. It had good flavor to it, just hard.

Sweet Charley B’s has some of the cutest looking cupcakes I’ve seen in Washington State. I only found out about the place since my best friend is currently looking for a place to do cupcakes for her wedding. They offer a wide variety of flavors that alternate daily ranging from German chocolate cake and S’mores to cherry limeaid and dilly bar. I ordered the«I Won’t Tell a Lie Cherry Pie» cupcake since it was the cutest one on display. I regret not taking a pic of it but I like how they put a pie crust on top of the cupcake. I thought the cupcake was pretty tasty, although it was leaning on the dry side. At least this cupcake did not fall apart easily. As for pricing, I think they’re a good deal. Compared to most cupcake shops in the Seattle area(roughly $ 3.50-$ 5 a piece), Sweet Charley B’s cost only $ 2.50 and I believe if you order by the dozen they’re cheaper as well. If I happen to be in town craving for a treat or planning a party, I’ll be returning to Sweet Charley B’s.

Not the freshest, but still yummy. Unfortunately, it wouldn’t fit in my mouth, so I had to rip it apart with my hands. I paid $ 5.00 for two cupcakes. I wish they were smaller and less expensive. They could probably save money and still maintain quality by reducing the size of their products.

The variety of cupcakes is great — the flavors change daily, which is a testament to the freshness of the cupcakes. I tried two — the crème brûlée and the salted caramel. Salted caramel cupcakes(salted caramel anything, really) are my favorite, aside from red velvet, and I am quite picky about them. I thought their salted caramel cupcake was okay, although I didn’t think there was enough of the saltiness, and it was more of a mild caramel cupcake. Their crème brûlée cupcake I expected to be cripsy on top, like a real crème brûlée with a caramelized sugar top, but this one was a little on the damp side. They have a Shirley Temple cupcake that sounds good, although it’s only available on Tuesday(we went on a Friday), so I’ll have to check it out next time.
