*CLOSED* «Closed now and forever» read the sin on the door :( Loved this place when I stopped in a few times to study(good atmosphere, comfy décor and easy-going music); however, it appears this place has just closed down unfortunately. Caffe Vita is kitty corner on the other side of 4th and has sufficient seating if you’re looking for a place nearby.

Great hot chocolate! Not too sweet which I appreciate. The upstairs loft seating is a nice place to tuck into and enjoy their free wifi.

Cute/cozy environment with a music edge. Would love to bring friends here and talk about anything. Also, their green latte was good and foamy. :)

Good price and good drinks, I have yet to try the food but the café itself is very nice. I like the music choice they played as well and the usual dude who makes our drinks is cool

This is the Olympia I know and adore. Intimate, relaxed, fun. A place to meet locals and enjoy the good times. Walls covered in art, couches, a steamer trunk for a coffee table. A dining area that reminds you of home. The front features bar stools and small tables. The place is designed to promote conversation. The décor is both fun and stimulating. There’s nothing pretentious about it. It’s organic and friendly. This place feels like your best friend’s bachelor pad back in college. The coffee and light faire are tasty and cheap. The noise level is low, won’t drown you out or make it hard to hear. Live plants and antique fittings give it a little old world ambiance. Modern art throws it off. This is the Olympia you want to know.

Stopping in Olympia on my way to Oregon, I was happy to stumble upon this little gem. First, let me put it out there that I live in Seattle, home of some of the most amazing coffee joints on the planet. I was making my way down the street to Caffe Vita, the place I was referred to by the waitress at our restaurant. It’s a familiar name and I’ve never had a bad experience, so I parked the car and set out on foot to a destination I was never meant to reach. Café Love. It was the name of the shop that brought me in off the street, but is was the awesome laid back, friendly, unpretentious atmosphere that will keep me coming back here every time I’m in the area. I had a dirty chai, which isn’t my usual drink, but it tasted very good and they were eager to get my feedback about it. I mean really, when was the last time someone made you a drink and asked your opinion on it? Rarely happens where I live, I can tell you that. Finally, if I haven’t convinced you already to forgo those other coffee shops and head to Café Love, let me inform you they are also a little family run operation. They are giving you the chance to have delicious coffee in a great atmosphere, and to support a small, local business. If that doesn’t appeal to you, you are probably just a very bad person.

Café Love is a great little café in downtown Olympia! The place and staff are congenial and the atmosphere relaxing! Since I moved to Washington I have not seen a Mayan Mocha until I came here! So immediately that is what I ordered along with a Cinnamon Roll! The mocha was great! It had the subtle heat and spice like any good Mayan Mocha should have! The Cinnamon Roll was good but almost tasted a little on the savory side. It was purposeful, interesting and unique! I enjoyed it! Whenever I am downtown and close by I will certainly be happy to go back and support this great little café!

I love their hemp milk lattes! And it’s so warm and cozy in there. A nice uplifting place. And Martin and Vanessa are so friendly and fun. And they are right next to an amazing Hair Salon and Spa, Euphorium. There massages there are amazing.

Nice small café; bigger than it looks from the street, as there’s upstairs seating. Wifi and some power outlets. Good music and atmosphere. The white mocha was pretty nice and they have day-old pastries. Good place to hang out or do work.

I have a sweet spot in my heart for Café Love. I’ve been a customer since 2011, when it was managed by Charles, the previous owner, as Sit N Sip(and something else before that even). Charles had the place heavy on background jazz at that time, and maintained a nice quiet atmosphere that was excellent for getting work done, quiet reading time, or for meetings. Charles very carefully chose Martin and Vanessa to pick up the reigns when he chose to retire, and they have maintained everything that was great about the coffee shop, while updating it in lots of really nice ways. The background music is now more contemporary and varied(without being super loud, as I find with too many other coffee shops in town), they have really nice local art on display, and hold regular open mic nights for local musicians. It’s my office away from home, and I love the sense of community I feel when I walk in and chat with Martin and Vanessa. Oh, and the coffee also happens to be really great!(small detail) The only complaint I’ve ever heard from others is that they had no idea they were there. They’re located at 4th and Washington, kitty corner from Café Vitta(which I don’t personally like all that much), next to Last Word Books and Don’t Stop Printing.

Between a three and a four, really. I was intrigued by the cute little shop and decided to camp out there one more to do some studying. The coffee was good; the pastry, not so much. The clientele, while I was there, leaned towards the older crowd(maybe not too unusual for a mid-morning weekday). There’s a good size(8 – 10 seats?) table upstairs that would be a great spot for a larger meeting.

My wife and I happened to be int he mood for coffee as we headed down to Percival Landing with the kids. Café Love was right there and open so we took advantage of it! Vanessa made us some great coffees and the kids had some cookies. Although we did not hang around we plan on doing so next time(without the kids). The use of the space was just our style. Great art hanging. Great spaces to sit, on the street, inside and upstairs. We will definitely be back.

Café Love owner Martin Borcherding & his wife Vanessa are a friendly couple and have done a great job setting up shop in what used to be the location for Traditions in downtown Olympia. The atmosphere of the café is pleasant and inviting. The tabletops feature local advertisements and interesting articles under a pane of glass. There is a small bookshelf along one wall stocked with all sorts of interesting things to read. The walls feature excellent artwork by Tacoma artist, Matthew Scott. There is a loft upstairs with additional seating. The café has items from Left Bank Pastry, bagels from Bagel Brothers and serve Batdorf & Bronson coffee. My soy mocha was excellent and my girlfriend’s iced vanilla latte was equally delicious.

They serve Dino’s, which in my coffee snob opinion is the best coffee in Olympia. The owner and his son are awesome, I guess. They also have a loft upstairs in case you want to read or paint or do yoga. Whatever.
