Kyle is very nice, patient and creative. I highly recommend. He worked with us a long time and did a great job getting things just right. We both left with a smile and if i want any more work done, kyle’s the man! Oh and his prices are quite reasonable.

I’ve gotten one tattoo done there about 5 years ago. I can’t remember who did it but theres no real reason why I would want to besides to warn people not to see him. I admit at the time I was young (18) and female. So of course, they were rude and treated me like I was a stupid teenager. OK, I was stupid for staying and letting them tattoo me. But I hadn’t gotten many tattoos yet so I really didn’t know what I was doing yet. ANYWAYS, all I wanted was a few stars behind my ears (i know, very original) The guy quoted me $ 60 because I’m guessing that was the shop minimum. The tattoo took no more than 5 minutes and I was done. When I went to pay I only had my card, how was I supposed to know it was cash only when it was only my 2^nd tattoo and no one informed me??? He proceeded to take my id and phone out of my hands and told me he’d be waiting. Hmm, ok. Came back with cash and all of a sudden its $ 80. F off dude. Don’t get ripped off by a holes. Go get an amazing tattoo by awesome talented artists at Spider Monkey!!!

I just got my Hello Kitty tattoo done there this weekend and WOW! Amazing service and excellent staff! It’s a tiny shop, but I love that the artists interact with the customers and give quick appointments!
The artist readjusted the position of my tattoo and talked to me during the session as well as compliment the work as he was doing it! Even if the tattoo seems silly, it was very thoughtful of them to make me feel great about a decision to put it on my body FOREVER :)
I will definitely be back without a doubt! So worth the 100 mile drive!

I’ve gotten all but two of my tattoos done at Electric Rose, and the two I didn’t get done there were by an artist who used to work there (but unfortunately has since moved out of the country). I love the guys that work down there. Micah did my most recent slew of tattoos (5 I believe) and he is amazing. He helped me come up with a special piece for my husband who is military, and it turned out perfect. I get comments all the time for it.
All the guys there are great. I have never had a bad experience there, and I’m pretty sad that I moved out of state and have to find a new tattoo shop to go to. I recommend these guys to literally EVERYONE who asks me where they should get their tattoos done. They are artistic, knowledgeable, funny and amazing at what they do. Reasonably priced and a clean shop. I never had a problem sitting there and just reading a book I brought or flipping through the artist books while waiting for my turn. Go here and you won’t regret it.

This is one of my favorite places to get needled in Olympia. The guys here are really friendly, funny and willing to answer any questions you have, (example.“Will it hurt?” «Yes it’s gonna’ hurt») The artists here are all talented and willing to work with you to get you what you’re looking for, including drawing up images that the otherwise artwork inept people are unable to do, myself included.
My favorite guy in the shop is Adam Craven who has done a couple of my pieces and is sort of a local tattoo legend, and for good reason, his work shines. Unfortunately he is departing from the Olympia area soon leaving many people morose. But not to worry, he will be leaving the shop in good hands as he has been training a new apprentice in the art of tattooing for the last couple of months to replace his position. Not to mention there are always the other solid artists working here who are more than happy to help you out.
The shop is relatively small so I hope you’re not shy, but it’s safe, clean and reasonably priced. So if you need a new edition or you’re a first timer to the needle, stop in and enjoy yourself. Added bonus: its neighbor is a great bar to visit after your session to take that edge off with a shot and a beer and to brag about your new unicorn molesting pickle tattoo.

adam and the crew at the electric rose are truly nice guys. they talked a lot about how awesome their wives/​girlfriends/​daughters were. they didn’t treat all of the dumbasses that walked in like dumbasses (i would have, they were annoying). they are also super f’ing funny and just generally excellent. since i spent many hours there, this is important.
adam always seemed excited to see me and excited about the tattoo. he is a great artist and designed the whole thing. he thought about how it would look on my body, not just slapping something on there. it is really beautiful, and yes, it’s bad-​ass.
