I will say this… as far as motor lodges go, this is one of the more decent ones that I’ve found. My experiences here have been nothing short of phenomenal. Sure, its dated… has a very 50’s/60s feel to it. Maid service everyday. really nice front desk staff, really helpful. Their prices are listed on their website… by room, by weeks, by off season specials, and by apartments. yes, there are apartments. they house 4, 6, or 8… depending on the size of your group. obviously prices vary. if you have any questions about room prices or whatever, they have a contact us link… and they are really fast about getting back to you. even if you have a regular standard double room, you’re still getting the amenities like a bathroom(duh) and a mini fridge, so you can bring stuff to make sandwiches and bagels and such and just keep the perishables in the fridge. there is a grocery store not too far away, so that helps. there is a pool on site, and anyone staying there have all access to the pool… its so awesome! and there’s a rinsing station too… so you don’t have to go to you’re room all sandy lol. but the best part… location location location! this is literally right next to the boardwalk. you aren’t far from the shore and the fun at all! and around the corner is the best little ice cream shop ever. definitely check this place out!

I cannot speak to the hotel as we just ate at the restaurant for breakfast after a bike ride next store. Normally I would pass by this type of place, as it was sparse, empty, and was attached to a hotel. However, our service was great, food was delicious and we had a great breakfast of pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, coffee and oj. Overall, it was great. Clean, décor was a little cheesey, but was pastel and very beachy. For 2 adults and 3 kids our bill was around $ 50, which I thought was a bit pricey, but honestly, the average is $ 10/person which was reasonable for the beach

I’m half and half with my experience here. I travel for work and often stay in upscale accommodations so I realize that this was older and it wasn’t a problem for me. It seemed clean, which made my stay more comfortable. The front desk staff was friendly and attentive. The location is prime time. So close to the beach and boardwalk! However, we stayed in the fountain view area(not the pool area). Not sure if this place was damaged by Sandy, but it sure SMELLED like it. The wood dresser appeared cleaned, but when you opened the drawers it reaked of mildew smell. Everything we placed on top also adopted the smell. If this was a product of the hurricane, I understand how hard it must be to get up and running again, but I hope they do something about the horrible putrid smell of their furniture. This really ruined the trip in many ways. I started to question the cleanliness of the room. Because of this I will not go back.

I had a couple questions about parking, older lady at the front desk had a very nasty attitude. I am not a resident of ocean city and obviously needed help by asking a couple questions. She had a very snappy attitude and talked to me as if I was an idiot. clearly very rude and not customer friendly at all. I would never stay here ever again and advise people to not stay here if they expect at least a respectful service for their money. I stayed here June 2014, and never again.

We stayed here this last weekend in June and had 44 family members. The staff was friendly and very helpful with tips about the beach and Ocean City. The motel provided us a wonderful place to stay with comfortable rooms and a nice interior garden area. This is a classic beach motel, simple accommodations close to the beach and boardwalk located in family friendly Ocean City. Thanks Pavilion for a nice weekend.

I have to give the Pavilion props for taking our last-minute, one-night request for our family. Generally– and oh-so-true of other hotels I called, a three-night minimum was the standard. However, because someone else left early, we were allowed to have one of the apartments in the house across the street… and probably got two rental fees in the process, so it wasn’t pure altruism, to clarify. The unit was fairly nice, with a living room, bedroom, and kitchen. It was clean, bigger than a regular unit. For one night, it was our own personal Taj Mahal. Three other perks became obvious: 1. Location, location, location. Hot diggity dog, we were close to the beach! Leave the beach toys in the car, and haul them out as necessary! 2. Parking! Yes, closely related to #1,but after check out, for $ 10 you can leave the car in the hotel lot… all day. Better than the $ 15 at the munincipal lot, on a Saturday. 3. Pool. No better way to get the saltwater off! Unfortunately, the buildings create a wind-tunnel through the pool, and the sun didn’t shine there much in the afternoon. Downside? While clean, it isn’t new. Front desk staff was pretty accomodating, but did inquisition me as to why I didn’t bring extra sheets for the pull-out sofa bed. Um, because I don’t bring sheets to a hotel, generally??? Overall, we had a great stay, and enjoyed the proximity to the beach. Location, location, location…

I have stayed at several hotels in Ocean City over the years and this has become my husband and I’s go to place. Its not the newest most updated place in town but the price is very reasonable and it’s a great value. The location and parking less than a block from the beach are alone worth the price. It’s always been clean, the pool looks good(although we’ve never used cause its always full of kids) the water pressure in our room was fantastic and the front desk is always very friendly and accommodating. Would have earned the last star if the would allow two night stays during peak season but they have a 3 night minimum most of July and August.

We stayed in a condo unit so can’t speak for the smaller hotel-like units, but it was a furnished 2 bedroom apartment basically. Clean, bring your own sheets, food, toiletries, etc. Close to the boardwalk and beach, just separated by a(large) parking lot. One car per unit, so we carpooled best we could. The parking lot nearby has rolling rates($ 4 – 5 during the rate, up to $ 20 during the weekend). The front desk is pretty receptive(i don’t know if us staying in the apartment mattered), our fridge was leaking and they came to fix it while we were out. All in all, worth the price, will probably be our«go to» place in OCNJ.
