I’d take one of these shops versus 50 Starbucks in one arEA. If your local or from out of town this establishment just feels like everyone’s local coffee spot. Great way to shake the home sick!

This place is not good at all. I went in for a sausage egg and cheese sandwich on a bagel, and was extremely disappointed. Everything was microwaved, it was bland tasting and the the service wasn’t exactly pleasant. If I wanted a microwaved eggs and sausage on a bagel, I would’ve went to Dunkin Donuts. I will not be back here, and the place I’m staying is directly above it. I’d rather walk a half mile to get a better sandwich than eat at this place again, no matter how hungry I am.

(6÷27÷2015) Needed a hot beverage warm up after waiting in line during a rainstorm at Fisher’s for our annual popcorn re-up. The OC Daily Grind is just behind the stand on Talbot Street. It’ old school, dark, quiet. The coffee is decent. The little old lady behind the counter was very nice, in that brusque Hon kind of way, but doesn’t move all that fast, and we weren’t in a hurry. I feel like it’s worth a stop just to keep a local place with some character still alive.

Quaint, authentic, slightly off the beaten path, most every customer seems to be a regular– it’s such an inviting change from Starbucks and the like. As another reviewer put it so succinctly–«don’t expect to sit down with your laptop and blog all morning.» It’s been our usual coffee stop on morning boardwalk bike rides for 20(?) years now and hasn’t seemed to change in the slightest. I can’t speak for the food since I’ve never tried any but there’s always a good variety of fresh coffees and the usual espresso-based drinks.

I’m sure you should visit O C Daily Grind before it fades away into the homogenized world of coffee retailers. Certainly a place with personality and character. The coffee is good too.

Decent, not great, coffee. Slow, surly service that seemed unhappy we were there. Also, quite dirty.

Continuing on a nostalgic vibe, OC Grind perfectly fits the bill. The shop is small and had a very pleasant lady running it. We grabbed a couple of coffees and were delighted by the selection of brewed coffee flavors. I had the Sumatra with a dash of the«Snickerdoo»(cinnamon flavored). It was cheap and was perfect for our winter stroll along the boardwalk.
