(Wish there was a ZERO star choice) Ditto«threw it away and bought another lunch elsewhere» and it was painful because it wasn’t cheap… but that fish, prawns & fries were NASTY… after the second prawn of odd consistaency and color and a HUGE entrail of black… I got a bit nauseous and had to throw away. Fries were edible, but definitely nothing special. Everything had a sense of disorganization. Order taker seemed nervous??? To the owner: 1) Focus on the quality and consistency of the food before asking people to spread the word about your new business. 2) Not acceptable to be out of basics like straws-go buy some! 3) Breading on the fried seafood is way too thick! 4) Find a good restaurant consultant or I gaurantee you’ll be out of business in 6 months or less SMH Yuck!

Wow! Great food, great prices and a great menu. Me and my coworkers went to the Central Café Bistro today and loved it. I had the Frisco burger and my friend had the catfish. The portions are big and the food is really fresh. We saw the hoagies being made and I think I will try that next time. They had a special today — ½ a roasted chicken and potatoes for only $ 6.99. They have an open kitchen so you get to see the chef in action. He was so friendly, fast and working very hard to make sure everything was just right. I’ll definitely will be back. Can’t wait!

This is my first review and though I’ve had urges to sign up and write reviews before, this one was too funny to miss the opportunity. So me and a friend are out for a lunch break and get handed a flyer by a very pretty girl saying this café that just opened at the end of the block. In all honestly, we’d already known that it was there but the girl was really pretty so of course we’ll give her the credit. We went in to order for ourselves and another in the office. The person taking the order was friendly and presentable and the cooks were in full chef gear, a nice touch considering the actual cooking area is about as bare as they could get away with. The order was simple: three California Burgers(sesame bun, lettuce, tomato, onion, avacado, jack cheese) with the minor variations of one with no cheese and one with no onions, each with an order of fries. Upon recieving our food, we gave a quick once over just to make sure one was without cheese. To my amazement, the first one I checked didn’t even have a hamburger patty on it!!! I had the cook fix it and, since everything else appeared to atleast have a patty, headed back to the office. As it turns out, none of us got what we ordered. None of the burgers had cheese nor avacado, and the one I got stuck with even had mushrooms on it(i like mushrooms, but a mushroom burger needs swiss cheese and this didnt have ANY cheese). No complaints on the fixins, which seemed fresh, but the burger was terribly overcooked, as was everyone’s in our order. The fries were hot and salty but obviously frozen and kinda mushy. All in all it wasn’t good at all. One of us threw it away and bought another lunch elsewhere. I sooooo wish I had just tried some of the fried fish like I told myself to. This place is still just opening and someday might be a good place to eat, but chances are I wont find out about it because I have no intentions of returning… unless of course the pretty girl with the flyers would like to dine with me ;)

Central Bistro Café has a little bit of everything: hamburger(3.99+, cashier says they use angus beef), hoagies(5.99+), fish/oyster/prawns with chips(4.99+), chicken wing, etc. salads, soups of the days, cakes, sides, etc. prices seem very reasonable. sampling: catfish and fries(3 pieces 5.99) –3 pieces fish generous and thick portions. maybe not from fresh fish but tasted juicy and ok.(not dry) –fish had semi-thick crumb breading, –fries were salty, mushy, plentiful. obviously from frozen. –5 pieces would be 7.25 leftovers: –fish cooked to order –fast and friendly service –fish way fresher and cheaper than that chicen/fish place that was here a year ago. –parking not so good around here. –open kitchen

New business that opened last Monday. Popular place already and maybe because there are very few places to get a burger around here. I came in the day after they opened and unfortunately the lady in front of me orderd at least a dozen SEPARATE orders for her co-workers. All were on post-it notes and she had the cashier write a ticket for each one, and paid for them separately. Good grief, I was in there for at least 35 minutes before getting my food. Only because they were slammed and it was only their second day. The prices are reasonable. I ordered a burger that comes with fries or green salad. I asked for the salad & was given two small bags, one for the burger & one for the fries but once I got back to my office and started eating, I discovered that the other bag didn’t have fries but another burger. I should have taken it back but I was on my lunch break & it was super windy that day so I had no desire to walk out there again. Today I went again & for $ 10.14(tax included), I got: Prawns — 5 pieces of shrimp(I wouldn’t call them prawns — much too small). comes with tartar packet if you ask for it. Salad — Very good, European greens with red onion, tomatoes, 3 Greek olives and too much Italian/vinagarette dressing. Make sure you order the dressing on the side, otherwise they put it on too heavy. Big Slice of Cake — Made by «Cassandra’s Wedding Cakes» located in Richmond. Good cake but very dense, the icing was great. This place has a decent menu, 7 types of burgers including Vege Burger. Hoagies, Philly Cheese Steak, Roast Beef & a hamburger on a french roll are also on the menu. SEAFOOD(all deep fried) — Catfish, Red Snapper, Oysters, Prawns & Shrimp. The coating is crunchy & flavorful. More on the menu is chicken, party wings, whole wings & strips. There are salads too, Turkey apple, Blue Cheese & Pear, Greek & Smoked Wild Salmon, soup of the day and today I noticed a special after I ordered, Half a roasted chicken with roasted potatoes. I would have ordered that because I could see the potatoes on top of the oven, they looked heavenly!
