Worst place ever! Ordered chips and guacamole and found TWODEADROACHES in my food. I brought the guacamole to the manager to show him. He tried to bribe me and offer me free drinks as he begged me not to report this to the health department. I refused his offer and was ultimately kicked out of the bar.

A group of us came here to celebrate a special occasion a few Saturday’s ago. We got to the bar right after 11pm and there were maybe 3 – 4 people in front of us in line. Still, after the bouncer checked our ID’s he asked if we had bottle service. I am not sure what he would have done had we told him no, but we actually were a part of a reserved table for the night, so we dropped him the name of the person the table was under, and he quickly let us in. Once we walked in, I saw the place being three fourth’s full. It definitely wasn’t a packed place for the bouncer to be picky at the door for my husband and I… two people, give me a break. The bar is really dark and has different avenues to it. The place reminded me of an underground type bar, which it was actually underground. I guess I am saying this because there were no windows and the walls were mostly brick. The drinks are priced fair for New York, but it was the music that really caught my attention. The music was good, the tables had ample seating, and the drinks weren’t bad. I saw girls in there with dresses on and others with jeans and flats. I think you could get away with either or, but it is a less dressy type place all in all. I’m not sure I would want to return because it isn’t exactly my style, but it was a cool time while we were there. I would consider this place to be an upscale bar or a very casual club.

LOVED this place! As soon as you walk in, you’ll find a huge dance floor on one side and small alcoves on the other. I peeked in one of the rooms on my way to the bar/dance floor… it was cozy and full of books and a seating area. Cute! We made our way to the bar and were able to order drinks quickly. There’s also a good amount of seating in case you get tired of dancing ;) I’m sure I’ll be back!

Super cool space! Unlike most places in the Meatpacking District, the drinks are reasonably priced and the atmosphere is laid back. I always come here for happy hours with my coworkers to play pool and some of the other games they have. Definitely recommend

One of my new favorite spots to chill with friends and coworkers after work. I had no idea this place even existed until one of my friends dragged me downtown for a happy hour she won. I’m so happy I tagged along and discovered this hidden gem. Love the laid back vibe, great music, and the happy hour specials were pretty great, especially for the meatpacking district. The Happy Hour package my friend won was pretty cool because we had our own reserved table and we got some complimentary fries and chips and guac to munch on.

I «won» a happy hour for appetizers for however many people in my group, and discounted drinks for a special happy hour from 6 – 9. The«discounts» are their nornal happy hour pricing, they gave me two free appetizer tickets when I walked in, promised another ticket when more people from my party arrived. When I complained that the drinks were not discounted and 2 – 3 appetizers were hardly«enough food» for a group of 17, the promoter boss guy handed me two free drink tickets to shut me up and promised we’d get a free bottle of cheap champagne if all seventeen people showed up. This place is a %*}#£|€* con, don’t bother wasting your money.

This place is pretty cool, we came in on a Monday night so it was kind of empty and so we got to enjoy the place without the crazy mess of people. The bartender was pretty cool, they have these awesome shots made out of God knows what that are fun to try and all in all I liked the ambiance. The only reason why this isn’t a 5 star is because of its location, there’s barely any phone service and the entrance makes you feel like you’re going to an unsafe place. If I wasn’t there with a guy I would’ve never went in myself.

Came here with a friend who won the free happy hour — it’s real! The space was nice and it wasn’t too crowded during HH(6−9PM). The Asian DJ was killing it with his mashups — my friends and I really enjoyed his ability to add some throwbacks in there without ruining the flow. I only had beers so I can’t comment on the cocktail drinks, but the appetizers were great — the buffalo wings and the Guac/Chips especially! {you get 2 free for the free HH} Overall, I liked our time here even if it was a bit too hipster for my liking. Additionally, the service would have been better, but for a free happy hour, oh well!

The door staff wanted us to pay entry but as we walked away, they let us in anyway. Fairly large venue with decent music and large long bar. Didnt take too long to order at the bar. Overall, the venue was fun however the typical power happy boucers at this club would be the reason i wouldnt return.

Came here on a Saturday night for a friends birthday. I didn’t like it here, mainly because it’s in a basement. Staff was way too snobby for what this place is and checking our coats was an issue. I had to seek out someone by roaming around the club to find someone to get my coat bc there was no attendant. Very young crowd and very sloppy crowd. Maybe it’s better on a week night or for happy hour.

Even though it has room for improvement, I enjoyed my experience here. Troy Liquor Bar is an upbeat spot to kick back over some drinks: I appreciated that it wasn’t too loud(so I could talk to my friends next to me without shouting), the R&B mashups from the DJ were on point, and the open space was nice to be in, though it smelled danky /somewhat unpleasant when my friends and I first walked into it. I enjoyed a sangria and some appetizers(fries that came with hot sauce and a creamy sauce, wings, and chips + guacamole). The sangria was refreshing but too strong for my taste, since I like sweeter drinks, and have tasted sweeter sangria at other places. The appetizers were satisfying without being too greasy or heavy, which was great. This space is well decorated, and I especially liked the candle lighting near the bathrooms. The staircase leads to Dos Caminos, and its wall is boldly painted.

Came here for a friend’s birthday event. I like that they have pool and games you can play on one side. This is in the Meatpacking District, tucked away in a hard to see basement entrance. There were some cute guys but they were with girls or didn’t bother approaching me so whatever. The people who were drinking had no complaints with staff or drinks and it seems this is also a VIP destination. Just make sure you follow their dress code policy as their doorman gave me grief over my comfy shoes. They were also rude to a promoter for the event I was at later in the evening, which is not cool.

«Won» a happy hour which was a complete fake, just a way to bring in a ton of business. We were promised $ 4 – 6 and got there to find $ 10HAPPYHOUR drinks only. My friends got free cover… I don’t even think they charge cover. So basically, we just showed up for no reason. Also, we had table, but the server NEVER got us drinks. She took our order several times and never brought anything. We got all our drinks from the bar and even had to go to the bar to pay. The ambiance and setting of the bar is really cool! Too bad it’s unmatched by service and faulty promotions.

Went here for a friends birthday. It was a pretty big group of us, and we got a section there. It was crowded, but room to dance. I liked that it was underground because it added to the allure and made it seem more seclusive. Drinks were regular city prices, crowd was diverse, and music was good. I would definitely go back

I was looking forward to this place — my friend somehow got a special for a table and 2 free apps. There were about 15 of us — which we could tell was overwhelming our waitress. So we decided to try to grab drinks from the bar — apparently we can’t do that if we have a table. So we had to watch this poor waitress serve the entire place before coming back to us. Then, there is 1 free shot deal on Unilocal(uh, hello, I love free stuff!!) So we tried to get it. The waitress first asked me what it even was — after an explanation, she turned to our group and said, «No, order that at the end, I’m only taking orders for people who are actually gunna buy stuff.» I get it, you’re busy, but if the staff doesn’t know about the deal and also refuses to serve it, then request to take it off the site. Part of the group ended up leaving shortly after that since we weren’t getting served anything because the waitress was overwhelmed and the bartender wouldn’t serve people at tables. Lastly, after a friend looked at the check, they saw they were charged for the apps they were supposed to get for free. She had to go back another day to get refunded. This place needs to get their act together. It’s a cool place and nicely set up, but the sub par service makes it not worth while.

Not sure why this place thinks it can get away with being as snobby as it is. Came here with one of my friends who won a free bottle. Took forever to get the bottle and a space for everyone. Management seemed none too excited about bringing everything for us. Tried to redeem the free shot from the Unilocal check-in offer and the bartender replied that she was«too busy.» Not sure why she couldn’t spare the 5 seconds to pour a shot but okay. Finally, maybe this would all have been worth it/excusable if the music had been good and overall the atmosphere had been amazing, but unfortunately neither was true. This place is just your average club with typically expensive bottle service. If you’re looking to splurge go somewhere else with more class and personality.

The place was nice, drinks were strong, pool table was fun but the music could of been SOMUCHBETTER and coat check was horrible. I was on line for 22 minutes, utter ridiculousness. The woman was slow and so rude. Everyone of our song requests went unplayed. For the amount of money I spent here I should of heard every darn song I wanted. Now I know to take my corporate card else where.

Formerly called 675 Bar, Troy’s is a hidden underground bar in the heart of Meatpacking. Unless you get here when there’s a line formed, you’ll be almost certain to walk right by it. Once you walk down the shady looking steps and open the graffiti laced door, you step into an awesome looking underground lounge. When things really get going, the DJ cranks out some awesome music which is a mix of top 40, house and hip hop. There are couches spread around for reservations, and there are small rooms lining the outside of the actual lounge portion that can be reserved for small groups. You really wouldn’t believe all of this is going on down here when you first walk down the stairs to enter. This is a really cool spot and is a very different scene from the usual places in Meatpacking. Non pretentious, good music, decent drinks and a great place to hang. The floor gets pretty crowded as the night goes on and turns into an all out dance floor eventually. Either way, it’s definitely a really spot worth checking out.

$ 15 for a gin and tonic? Are you serious? No. Aside from the venue itself — underground, spacious with some seating + pool table, nothing is too grand about this place. Guys — be prepared to pay a cover fee(on a Saturday night, unsure about Fridays). Ladies, if you are on the prowl, brace yourself for douchebags and NYU students. Never coming back here. Ever. ANDTHEMUSICWASAWFUL! GOSH, I am so cruel.

This place was better under the name 675. It’s gone to crap since it changed its name and I’m assuming management. They now have a $ 20.00 cover for guys, which I think is ridiculous given the number of nice bars you can go to in the area without having to pay. Also, quick tip for bouncers, don’t let hand selected guys go through without having to pay and then tell our group that«if you’re a guy, it’s a rule to pay $ 20 bucks.» It’s a RULE? Oh wait, let me rephrase that into your language, «A RULE?! REALLYBRAHHH?»

Different name, same bar. If you’ve come here under the name 675 bar, don’t expect anything different. You’ll be able to dance with slightly less douchey people than the meat packing crowd, many tourists, & frat brothers. If you’re looking to get away from that suitor that has his eye on you, you better come up with a plan, as those boys circle like vultures over a dead carcass.
