Best service ever… nicest people working there… best location and my favorite place

Starbucks generally is Starbucks but this one is TERRIBLE.
Lousy service, high turnover of servers, most of whom act like zombies or are surly
Worst Starbucks I have ever been to. went back a couple of times to make sure I wasn’t just having a one-​off bad experience
No, it is that way every time

I love this location ! I grew up in the neighborhood and thought this location was genius, when it first opened. I ordered a double tall soy white chocolate mocha w/​o whip. The foam on top was beyond perfect! This drink made my evening. The customer service was mediocre, but it’s New York right lol.

I can’t believe I’m giving a Starbucks 4 stars, but hey: most of the people here are friendly and recognize you, there’s often a place to sit among the (only slightly afflicted) regulars, and you can stare at people walking past, which is an aspect of NYC culture that has NOT been pushed out by, well, Starbucks. It could be worse.

This has to be one of my favorite Starbucks in Manhattan. Some may think I am crazy for even typing that first sentence .
*The employees are always pleasant
*My drinks are always made correctly
*There is never a long wait for a drink
*Its never too packed to grab a seat
*The music selection is always awesome
And this my friend makes for a great Starbucks… especially in New York. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!

Starbucks is Starbucks. On the product we can rely. But the few times Ive been to this one, the staff was consistently less alert, slower, and openly engaging in personal convo while they slowly work on your drink. l have felt like ordering is an interruption.
However, its probably important to note that these experiences have been on weeknights in the early evening. The few times Ive been here on a weekend morning, things have been pretty spot-​on.

A little slow but we got our drinks ok tho … One hot 80° day and everybody want some Sbux! Lol

I’ve walked passed this location many times, and never went in because it was always crowed. It was so nice to finally find it mellow with a couple of seats available. The sat at the window for about 45 minutes. It was great. The staff was nice, and the atmosphere was very comfortable and clean. I will return even when it’s crowded.

Nice location, near the kids activities and my dentist. We usually go the location on 86 and Columbus. This location is small but employees are fast polite and this location is clean. Did not see bathroom so cannot comment on that. Triple shot mochas pretty good. Not a ton of tables to relax so you are forewarned. Will return as the Starbucks on 86 is slow.

They made my drink correctly and quickly. What more is there to say.

This Starbucks is clean and convenient but the drink-​making takes foreverrrr. I’ve been here several times where this has been the case so make sure you have fifteen minutes.

The Barista just made me a chocolate machiatio anyway it doesnt exist and not sure he is allowed to make one but exactly what i wanted. Otherwise Nice Seats and big Windows. Good place to go if your girlfriend won’t leave Michael’s

On man another great place I can have great coffee around my way

I don’t spend a lot of time in this part of NYC, but was glad to stumble upon this location of Starbucks. There isn’t much seating, but I managed to snag a seat at the counter looking out at Columbus Av — grateful.
Two things kind of rubbed me the wrong way:
1. The barista (and the staff is happily chatty, which I appreciate) was trying — I think — to be funny with me about my order (a doppio espresso macchiato) by asking me which size I wanted. Ummm… there’s just one size. I gave her a puzzled look. She giggled and proceeded to show me all of the cups she had and giggled more when I looked even more confused about the fact that I wasn’t aware I was supposed to choose a cup. A double espresso comes in the same cup at any other Starbucks — why choose now? Maybe they have finicky patrons at this location? I was confused. She seemed completely oblivious to the fact that I wasn’t as amused as she was by the whole thing. I’m easy to get along with, but this was unexpected and odd.
2. The giant trash bins should not be stored in the (otherwise clean) bathroom. C’mon folks.

Such a friendly Sbux location. Not a lot of seating, but the seating available all has a fun street view. Staff are chatty and polite and on one occasion brought around free cake samples. Mmmm… cake.

Got a fantastic chai tea latte here. Very happy! I was starting to lose faith in Starbucks as the last 2 drinks I’ve had hadn’t been made right (different location). When you pay $ 5 for a drink you want it to taste good. Quick service, good beverage.

A perfectly good Starbucks, it’s a good addition to the area with all its newer shopping options. Though it can be difficult to get a seat, it’s still a good place to enjoy your drink and relax a bit after carrying lots of heavy bags.
Very good service, which is not always a given with NYC Starbucks, and otherwise the standard menu you expect. Glad it’s here for when I need a quick caffeine pick-​me-​up.

New location and as expected for this neighborhood, now a very busy spot! Helpful and friendly staff — hope it stays that way!
