Cellular Sales, Verizon Wireless Authorized Retailer

First of all, their store sign makes it look as if they are a Verizon corporate store and not called Cellular Sales. Secondly, we were so misled by the reps here and have spent weeks dealing with the consequences. One of the first questions we asked the rep Sean was whether we would have to pay any activation fees when switching from AT&T to Verizon and he clearly stated «No, not right now because there is a promotion». We asked again when we were signing up and got the same answer. But, here we are after getting our Verizon bill and we were charged an activation fee. Verizon said they would not waive that fee. We were also told that we would get a switching bonus for switching to Verizon, but it was not until after we paid for our phone that we were told we had to trade in our phone — that was never mentioned and we planned to keep our old phone. We also read the offer (not given to us in the store, but emailed to us later), and found we could not receive any trade-​in money. Be very careful about what you sign electronically here because you leave with no paperwork except a receipt for your phone. There is supposedly an activation agreement, but it was not given to us (it is mentioned on the phone receipt)
You also are unaware when you go to this store that you lose many rights you have when you go to Verizon’s corporate stores such as being able to go to any Verizon store around the country to deal with defects, etc. One of the phones we bought barely worked right out of the box, since the battery would drain within 5 hours, even without being used. Ultimately, I did not want to deal with this store ever again and paid the $ 35 restocking fee (standard at Verizon stores, not just this knock-​off). We also returned our other phone. So we were out both activation fees, both restocking fees and will receive no switching bonus. We also found that they do not have a very good selection of phones and they charge a lot more for phones than other places. Both of our phones cost at least $ 50 more than online or at the corporate store. Our fault for not shopping around.
Our whole experience with this store has completely soured our relationship with Verizon and we cannot wait to have nothing more to do with Verizon.

My sister and I came in on Christmas Eve to see about adding/​changing our absurdly complicated family plan. Luckily for us we were helped by Michelle McDaniel, who apparently is a saint who spends her holidays helping clueless Verizon customers. After spending multiple hours painstakingly working through multiple options, Michelle found us the perfect plan that not only added a new family member to our plan but somehow lowered the cost per person! It was definitely worth the time, and you could tell Michelle took a lot of pride in her job and helping us out. It was a really personal experience and we felt like VIPs, which is fairly rare in the cell phone world haha. Definitely the best experience I’ve had with this company. Thanks Michelle!

I walked into this store after a bit of an emergency when my phone broke. My phone is basically my office, so it was imperative that I found a replacement right away. This was the friendliest and most helpful Verizon experience I have had in the city. The reps were able to work with me to get a good replacement phone at a decent rate (I did use an upgrade that was available to me). Dijon was most helpful.

Oh, Please! This is an incredibly bad store. I just saw the one review shown and that person is absolutely right, this is a real rip-​off lousy place.
I was directed to their manager for some reason, a pompous baboon in a $ 700 suit who told me I could not add minutes to my little back-​up cell phone using my credit card (I am retired and usually just use my landline) – he even demanded ID which he looked at as if it were fradulent (I even had a copy of my most recent landline bill with me as it happened)…what a total jerk. He demanded that I pay in cash and of course tried to get me to spend more money than I wanted to! Where do they find these rude idiots? Stay away from this place!

Do not go here unless you want to get ripped off.
Apparently their store policy and customer service do not match other verizon stores.
They tried to charge me $ 20 for a SIM card to activate an old verizon phone, and told me I was misinformed when someone at another store told me it would be free.
So, I had to go to another store after work to have my old phone activated, and lo and behold, my SIM card was indeed FREE.
I even called them afterwards to let them know, and the guy had no apologies and said that their store just has different policies. What a joke, why would anyone come to this store then?
