Oh dear god, I am ruined. RUINED by all the glorious raw delicacies I’ve enjoyed recently on a recent visit to NYC. So this is the thing: without a doubt, my own beloved city is lacking in healthy eateries. There’s no denying that trying to be 80% raw vegan if you love to eat out is downright impossible in most cities in the world. That leaves me to making a lot of meals myself and you can only eat so many massaged kale salads and cashew cheese. For dessert, Hail Merry Macaroons from Whole Foods are nice but… in comparison to the pumpkin«cheesecake» here, uhhh, let’s just say maintaining one’s weight is pretty darn easy back home. So I went all out. I ate lunch at Rawlicious twice in five days. I couldn’t stop thinking about everything to do with this place!!! The juices. The smoothies. The sandwiches. The main courses. I over ordered each time and had absolutely no regrets whatsoever. This is health, pure delicious health seeping out from every inch. The gals who took care of us each time were so informative, enthusiastic and practically motherly(if your mom was a beautiful, earthy babe!), that I felt truly appreciated as a treasured guest here. Ask them questions! They seem to enjoy answering them. How refreshing. Portions may run on the small side but please keep in mind that you don’t need to eat large portions of such nutritionally dense items as the«bacon» portabella sandwich. And hey, if your brain hasn’t told your stomach that you’re full, there’s always room for one of those decadent practically guilt-free desserts. As I teased before, the pumpkin cheesecake is NOT to be missed. You can probably pass on the«cinnamon roll» and I think it would serve to benefit them to change the name as although it’s tasty, it resembles nothing close to a cinnamon roll(think groats, seeds, cinnamon and a low glycemic sweetener). Here’s where I give you advice when bringing skeptics, though I’m personally fortunate to have friends in my life who enjoy exploring the world of raw food. Try: pizzas, veg burger(all are hearty and crazy flavorful) matcha latte smoothie(they may never drink Jamba Juice crap again) Avoid: Thai«noodle» dish(noodles are spiraled zucchini bits. Not a lot of protein in there to fill you up, either). cinnamon roll(you’ll never hear the end of it). I cannot wait to return, even if that’s going to be an entire two months from now…

Randomly came upon this place as my mom and I were walking the streets of Soho! Being that my mom is vegetarian, we had to try this place! We were greeted as soon as we walking inside by most of the staff and then proceeded to sitting down. Our server(Alex) quickly brought us water and our menus. Even though there was not a large assortment of items on the menu, every thing sounded really good! We went along with the pizza. The pizza itself was DELICIOUS. In fact, I am probably going to go there again because it was THAT good. The only downside to this awesome restaurant, I would say is the portion size. The pizza was $ 15 and it was only two small slices. Although the pizza slices were overfilled with vegetables and pesto sauce, $ 15 for two slices of pizza? Thats pretty overpriced. Overall we had a great experience at this restaurant! Our server Alex was super sweet, she was nice enough to charge my phone in the back since there were no outlets in the seating area, and was very attentive. I am only in the city for a few more days, but I will definitely try and come back to this place!

Full disclosure: Eating raw food is typically not my thing. However, when friends want to go, I’m happy to try new things. Rawlicious scores points for a clean, well-appointed space. Our server was sweet and attentive. More points for that. I also have to give credit for creative food. I had the veggie burger and I have NO idea what was actually in it. It was good, I enjoyed it. I liked even more that it arrived with no bread. Come to think of it, that’s probably an obvious point for a raw food restaurant, but I was happy to skip the simple carbs. Fewer points for the dessert. My friend and I both got the pumpkin cheesecake. At first bite I thought it was interesting, creative and tasty. But the more I ate it, the more I was wondering, «what exactly am I eating?» It was just weird. I think I’ll stick with real pumpkin pie. And whatever is in the raw food, doesn’t always agree with me. It might just be that I’m not used to eating that way so although I eat healthy — I usually eat cooked food. So I sometimes feel unsettled. Would I go back? Sure… if my raw food-loving friends wanted to eat here I’d go, but I wouldn’t be likely to go back on my own.

Not bad food, i personally really liked their raw pizza, but my boyfriend found alot of fruit flies in the bottom of our salad. Was kinda gross to see that in a nice place. Specially after eating half of it. Won’t come back.

This place looks beautiful on the inside but the food was forgetable. I ordered a lasagna or pasta dish… I forget the name. I did not feel good afterward. I don’t know If my stomache was upset because of the food or if I was just still very hungry. It’s also a bit pricey for lunch. I’m all about vegan and healthy food joints but I can’t recommend this place.

Delicious and fresh, but you won’t find giant portions here. I wasn’t sure what to expect with the taco wrap(wrapped in a leaf) with a little alfalfa sprout salad but I can’t stop thinking about it even days later. It was the first time I had nutloaf; it’s packed with flavor. My friend got the pizza which has rotating toppings every day. He too was a bit wary of the daily choice but ended up surprised at how delicious the combination was. 4 stars for food and service; ambiance is a toss up. I’m not sure what time it gets crazy in here but you’re safe going at lunch. It was totally dead when we went for lunch at 12:30.

For my birthday this year, I took myself on a date to the city. After treating myself to yoga and a foot massage, I found Rawlicious on my Unilocal app and decided to try it. The restaurant was totally empty when I arrived at around 3 so I received full attention from my waitress and had my choice of tables. They also let me charge my phone behind the register so that was a total win. I ordered a beet, carrot, and ginger juice, a nacho platter with added walnut«meat» and a house salad, which consists of shredded beet & carrot, a medley of sprouts and pumpkin & hemp seeds on a bed of mixed greens. I asked the waitress if that would be too much food for me because it sounded like a lot, but she assured me I would be fine. Haha it was way too much for me, but that’s alright — I got my money’s worth. I loved the nachos! I want to know how to make walnut meat at home, but until then I’ll have to return to Rawlicious to have it. The cashew sour cream was a little too watery, but I couldn’t believe how smooth it was — the flavor was great! And the guacamole was perfectly seasoned. I really liked the salad but had to ask for more dressing because it was way underdressed. Otherwise, the food was excellent. I loved my juice too! I’d definitely come back if I’m looking to splurge a little bit. My birthday was the best excuse I had to spend a bunch of money on uncooked food. I recommend it to anyone on a raw diet or who wants to try something different.

Can I get a «Hell Yes!»? This place is A+(plus plus plus) awesome. Forget for a moment that it’s vegan. And even forget that it’s raw. You won’t even notice. It. is. delicious! As a celiac too, it’s the only place I found on a three-day trip that has NO gluten or oats on the premises. Completely safe. Completely satisfying. I want to quit my day job now and open one of these in Cleveland. Who’s with me?

Hi, my name is(not Slim Shady) Ruggy… and I’m a diet-holic. But not a «diet» in the sense of someone who’s addicted to fad diets… I’m on a perennial hunt for the best way to eat for my body. I’ve been a non-red meat eater, a vegetarian, a full on vegan(more of an animal rights thing), a paleo weirdo, and as of late, on the«anything goes» diet. Maning… this last year is the first time I haven’t either voluntarily shied away from food groups(vegetarian/vegan), or been forced away due to allergies(hence my paleo stint), so it’s been a no holds barred 12 months uf gustatory excitement. Pizza, ice cream, cupcakes, pig brain & eyeballs, bone marrow, you name it. If it was edible(even arguably edible), it was going in my mouth. But after this free-for-all approach… I often find myself feeling like absolute garbage. That said, it’s time to reel it in a bit and get back to nature. Insert Rawlicious. I live about ½ mile away from this raw food paradise, and it took me a hot second to buy into it. I’ve had raw food before, and I’ll be honest — I’d rather eat a can of Alpo dog food than consume most of the popular concoctions. But here, it’s different. Not only is their menu littered with appetizing treats, but for a raw restaurant in NYC, their prices are incredibly reasonable. So far I’ve tried the«taco salad» and the«Caesar wrap,» and so far, so good. The«cheese cake» also looks like a winner(cashew based cheese atop almond crust with a fruit topping), so I’ll have to jump on that next time around. Easily the best raw eatery I’ve tried in my 30(almost 31! Eek!) years on earth.

Just about the slowest service you could possibly imagine. Over a lunch time on a weekday — I’d really expect more. Just took forever! If I was just rating for this it would be 2 stars The food was fine — fresh ingredients, relatively tasty rabbit food. And the décor and ambience is lovely, so they get an extra star. With all the high-quality vegan/vegetarian options in this city, I doubt I’ll be coming back here.

I really like this place and never had a bad experience here. The décor is really nice and inviting. The service is fast and friendly. The food is delicious — the BEST raw pizza I have ever had! I don’t know how they do that crust — they must use some secret ingredient but it’s awesome. The shakes are all yummy. The salads are great — although, hate to compare, but Quint. still has the best raw salads, especially the caesar’s. But the caesar wrap is very good, so I compromise. The desserts I feel need some work — the fruit tart is good, but the rest don’t quite hit the flavour. I tried the brownie and it was very… nutty/earthy, and not very appetizing for me. To each his/her own. Good place overall!

I am gluten free and always in search of a safe environment to eat. I had lunch at Rawlicious yesterday and it was amazing. The food was so creative and healthy and yummy!!! My friend and I couldn’t decide what to try cause everything looked sooo good. We ended up with a nori roll, a salad and a pizza. Fantastic!!!’ I loved the roll the best. The service was great. Out waitress, Alex, was super friendly, helpful and fast. I plan to be a regular.

Was a little skeptical of an all raw meal, but very pleasantly surprised! I don’t know what sort of magic they use to turn raw veggies into such deliciousness, but wonders are definitely worked in that kitchen! The service was great, too. I love the big windows and fresh décor – definitely a great atmosphere to dine in. Favorites: pizza(amazing crust, toppings change daily), spaghetti bolognese, taco wrap. Eggroll is yummy, but the sauce that comes with it is where it’s at. Pad Thai is good, too, but I’m sticking with the ‘sgetti from here on out. Have not tried the desserts, but they look fantastic. Will have to do that next time I’m in New York.

OMG, I dream of this place and wish that they had a location in Orlando! I have tried about half the menu and nothing I’ve tried has not been great — especially the desserts =) Love the pizza, zucchini pasta with meatballs, and cookies.

Incredible food! And it is delicious and raw. I love the health benefits without compromising taste. I had a side salad with lemon dressing. Tasty and filling. Then I had the Pad Thai. Don’t know how they do it. This is a great dish that I could not finish. It was both satisfying and light. Great wait staff, great atmosphere and very reasonable prices. I will return often.

Came here today after putting in a few hours at work. The space was big and nicely decorated. I was promptly seated by the waitress, who was a super friendly young woman. I did wonder if the chairs being used at the restaurant had suede upholstery, though. Just thought it was kind of funny. Also, like other Unilocalers had mentioned in their reviews, this place is really really warm inside. Anyhow, I decided to get the Capri Sun drink special and the rawitch. The drink came out lukewarm, which was not what I was expecting. Fortunately, the rawitch was pretty good. I absolutely loved the dehydrated onion bread it came on. Also, the portion size was pretty big for a raw vegan restaurant. A nice place to come by during the day and do some work. I’d be willing to come by again just to try out their other entrees.

I had Jury Duty in the area and assumed it was vegan dead-zone, but my super smart phoney phone led me to rawlicious! I walked in and maybe those raw foodists get chilly, but it was as hot as Ryan Gosling in there! I guess they had the heat cranked up like cray cray. HIGHLIGHTS: 100% Organic! Local! BUZZKILLS: It was so so effing hot in that place, my $ 15 salad was wilted and warm(but still so delicious that I ate it all)

This is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to go. The food is delicious and I leave felling full but light as a feather! I’ve been here twice, once during lunch and another with a friend of mine for dinner. Both times the waiters were very helpful with the menu. It’s never seems packed, so its perfect for an intimate night out. Things I’ve Tried: Pasta Bolognese– So far my fav. Very fresh, filled with flavor, and leaves you full Nutloaf With Mashed Potatoes & Gravy — Super rich, but tasty and worth it

Walking through the city, in from California, as a vegetarian, I was pretty bummed it seemed like the only options were chains or greasy asian food for my husband and I, until we found this place by complete accident. We have a vegan restaurant in our town so we kind of knew what to expect, but when we walked in, this was miles ahead of ours. Great ambience, stylish, quiet, a lovely break from the street. The menu was the perfect size with interesting combinations and flavors. The waiter told us the specials were spiced cider and a corn chowder so we got both to start. Pricey little guys, they were both worth it in different ways: the cider was amazing. Creative, bold, had some bite and density to it that didn’t just make it cider. The server said they had added some of their«egg nog» to it and it made a huge difference. The soup was not what I would expect of anything called a «chowder» and it clearly had a heavy lean on the almond meal to thicken it, but while I was a little disappointed by the label, my husband declared it amazing and ate it before I had a chance to have another bite. He ordered the«tuna» wrap, which the server said was his favorite, and I got the pad thai. My husband’s wrap was amazingly flavorful and filling for being a wrap. My pad thai was definitely not«pad thai» again — but it was really interesting and I got over my expectations again and thoroughly enjoyed how fresh and light it felt. A great experience overall, but more importantly? We ate this around noon and did not feel the need to eat again all the way to 2 am when we got back to our hotel, without feeling overly full or heavy. I am really excited about that because it bucked every stereotype I had about raw/vegan.

This place opened recently and I am always on the hunt for a good vegan place. I hadn’t seen my friend in awhile, so we decided to give this place a try. I made a reservation for 8pm. The place is absolutely gorgeous and since it is so new, it wasn’t crowded and very very spacious. What is it about vegan restaurant waitresses? They are always beautiful and mesmerizing and extremely friendly. We opted to share the nori rolls for appetizer. It was very fresh, flavorful and lite. I like that after I eat a dish, I still feel light. Veggies, it does a body good! My friend played it safe and ordered the raw pad thai. She said it was very well made and that she normally isn’t a pad thai fan, but this dish was excellent. I had a walnut loaf of some kind. It was very well seasoned and perhaps a bit on the salty side. I found myself downing a few glasses of water while eating this dish. The loaf had plenty of texture and it was fun to chew and challenge my mouth a bit. We shared a vegan brownie and well it was good, but it you’re into regular brownie, you probably won’t like this dish too much. My friend had a few bites and then let me finish the rest. I guess walnuts, dates and cacao ain’t her thing, but it definitely was up my alley. Desserts don’t have to be super sweet to be good. I like that it didn’t send my insulin level on a roller coaster. Steady and stable always wins the race! When we came here, they didn’t have their alcohol license yet, so be prepared for that. I did find myself desiring a glass of wine, but in the end, I did just fine without any alcohol. The waitress was really nice and attentive. She was charming, friendly and nice to chat with. I would definitely come back again and want to try their raw vegan pizza soon!
